If you are a podcast host, listen up this ones for you. My name is Ally Jackson. I'm the host of Finding Mr. Height, a dating and relationship podcast that I've been doing for four years now, sharing my positive and practical approach to dating that's built on my own life experience. It's called Red Circle, and I was just telling my colleague about how much I love their platform with Red Circle, not only am I getting a seamless hosting experience, but I also love the support I receive in AdSales. It's not just typical AdSales either. It's targeted opportunities based on my show and my life. And the platform is super simple. with our episode three recap of Survivor Season 50. And we have this comment right here, Jayburn Aquatic Specialist taking so long crying over Q. That is what took us forever to get here. We were just crying over Q going home so early, very sad, very depressing. I didn't like it. I'm beat up. We'll get into this whole episode a lot to talk about. But first, I mean, let's get into the highlight of the episode. Let's just do it right off the bat. That wrap was sick. That was so good. I'm so happy that came back, maybe fried chicken and waffles. Best thing of the new era. This is what makes Survivor a family show. I'll tell you what a bunch of people sat down with their families tonight. A bunch of parents sat down with their kids and were like, you know what kid? You can watch Survivor now. You can stay up till 9.30 because this is what it's all about. Did something else happen on the episode? Because that's literally the only thing I remember. That's the only part of the episode that I remember at all. Yeah, Phil, at one point. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, no, you text me at one point during the episode.
And you're just like, I can't, I can't believe this wrap. It's like, it's like, I can think about like, this is the only thing that matters. I get if you don't like it. I mean, I'm not gonna sit here and say I'm a fan of it or I wanna see more of it, but like, come on. Don't let it ruin your whole rest of enjoyment for the episode. What, it was 10 seconds? I'm gonna do whatever. 10 seconds? Like, people I think are losing their minds. People love to just hate something and I get it. Like if you hate it, hate it, but let your hate only hit a certain level of impacting your enjoyment of the show. Like, hate it for what it is. Don't hate all of Survivor. Don't hate all of Jeff Groves. Don't hate all of season 50 simply for these 15 seconds. Was it corny? Yes, was it cheesy? Yes, unnecessary, yes. But I think there is something to be said about the levity of the season. I think this was intentional by Jeff. He said that the way the show is cast. It's gonna cast fun people. Kind of big, brighter personalities. After season 40, the last all-returning season being
like literally called winners at war. It had this very serious tone of thunderbolts, cannonballs. You can see it in the logo. We open with a physical brawl. Like, this is not that. And I think Jeff is taking the show on a different direction for 50. And I think the same Jeff that is saying, oh, let's have a nice rap song about the hands of the fans. Also, the rhyming was pretty bad. That might have been the worst part. At least rhyme well. He rhymed. He went, hands, fans back to hands. Like, you can't rhyme the same word with the same word. That aside. I think he's telling Jeff a lot of rappers. The same Jeff that is rapping and singing songs. I think it's also the same Jeff that is like, make sure we include Christian shitting his pants. Like, make sure we blur out the stain. Make this as fun and as light as possible. So, like, I will take, again, 15 seconds of a quippy little corny rap, if we're gonna get maybe a more lighthearted season that isn't taking itself too seriously.
See, I won't. I won't. Right. I'm gonna complain about it. I'm gonna stand at Fenderman, says L to the OG. We're gonna get that one going, right? I just, I understand this is why I have to complain about it right off the bat. I think that there's just this, there's this misconception that survivor wasn't always a family show. I think that's what's driving me crazy about it will. And I know you don't follow all of the online stuff as closely as I do. And I know you don't have like social media and everything. But this whole thing has been Jeff is so proud that he's turned survivor into a family show. That that's what it's all about now. I was eight years old when the first season came out. I'm not doing a podcast on it at 34. Like Will is the same age as me. He's actually younger, which shows in his maturity level. But when you think about this, it's always been a family show. I'm obsessed with Colby because what I watch is a nine year old and a 13 year old. This, like, and it wasn't corny. It was fun. It was the adventure. Why to be a family show now?
Does it have to be just pure cheese? And I know that maybe some people are like, this is really what we're starting this episode with. But I want to do it because I know that our fans, the ones who listen to us every week, they are the kinds of people who are so over this version of Jeff. And this was so unnecessary. It wasn't fun. Let me get a little finger snap in going. Like it's awkward. And like the people who were into it, I'm rooting against you. Like I am actively now rooting against Aubrey. I hope her time on Survivor continues to be bad because she was way too into this. Thank God, Sean didn't show up on the island. If he were to show up on the island, I'm going to stop watching season 50. So this is just a surprise. Don't make too soon. We literally have a musician coming next week from the free view. It's probably like fill a piece of my chicken off. Like this might be some sort of foreshadowing where we have, is it Zach Brown? Zach Brown or Zach Brown, which I have now? There's Luke Bryan, Luke Brown, Zach Brown, Zach Bryan. Dude, I cannot keep the country name. They're all like two first names. I'm like, I can't figure it out.
But we have some musician coming who is, we see a guitar in the next time on. Like fill, brace yourself for another musical segment. I'm okay with the music. Like I'm actually, this is crazy. I'm more okay with a musician who's not playing Survivor, showing up on the island more than I am Jeff doing this. And there's a lot of people who are saying they don't mind it. It's fair, you don't have to mind it. But I know that most of the Survivor fans that die hard since day one are rolling their eyes so aggressively at this. And a lot of people were complaining during the Eva Joe moment, which I think was handled perfectly by Jeff. People were complaining that Jeff inserted himself too much into that. What the hell was this then? So we can move off of it. I just had to start with this because look, it was important enough to keep in the edit. That means it's important enough for us to spend six minutes talking about and what's probably gonna be another insanely long episode. Just get ready everybody tomorrow night digging deeper. I got Joe Menna,
coming on who's gonna probably be talking about Chrissy and Chrissy going through the ringer in these episodes. And then I got Blake on there too. Well, I'm sure he's gonna have nothing but nice things to say about Jeff doing this rap. So just be happy that I'm the one starting this out. And I know that some people are like, Phil, what the hell? I had to go there to start because they kept it in the episode. And I know that people were just rolling their eyes. And if you're not rolling your eyes, I wish I had your innocence and joy because I don't. And I hated this. And turn signs as Jeff needs to retire. That was the other thing this felt like, oh, isn't it so cute that grandpa came out and did the rap with us? Like that's something you'd see on TikTok of like the old guy dancing with like his eight year old. That's what this felt like. It's not what survivor needs to be. Survivor can be fun anyway. So anyway, Nicholas W. Will, why are we so obsessed with this? Why is Jeff obsessed with putting it on there? If he's gonna put it on there, I'm gonna talk about it. So here we are. Brian Killingit, web act brown better come to that island and show Jeff how to rap. So it is Zach Brown. Zach Brown. Yeah, I don't still,
I mean, it doesn't do anything. Even though those are the two correct names, doesn't like put a different song or image in my head. But I think the way you said like, okay, I started watching this show when I was eight. It was a kid show. Like how old was Jeff that? Right now. Like that is what, almost 30 years ago at this point, we're like 26 years ago. So like, Jeff's age two and Jeff is now hitting like, he is hitting like the age of a grandpa. And like, I think it's okay if our host who was quiet, sassy business means business is now in his older kind of later stages of life. I don't think Jeff's like, you know, gonna like die anytime soon. But like he is kind of into an older phase of his life. And he is a TV host. He's been hosting the same show for so long. And I think it's okay to see like an arc from Jeff. Like that's fine. Aaron Conn, coach enjoying it is the only funny thing. I'm okay with anyone who hands it up. I said this last time. I'm not on top of that.
I'm like, yeah, ask you to snap. And he's already invited you back for returning players season. Like you wanna, when you're on survivor, you listen to Jeff. You do what he says. You want screen time. You wanna be invited to things. You wanna be like at the top of his mind. Like because if you cross him, you'll never play survivor again. So snap your fingers and sing along. Cause like, you gotta keep Jeff happy. I mean, Colby doing it. I've never seen Colby more uncomfortable and he got ridden the finish line by coach. So here we are. What's the real reason we're actually rooting against Aubrey, though, it has nothing to do with this finger snap because she's looking at Genevieve. And I had this realization. So Sophie Beleri and I did the podcast this weekend for Predictions of Power Rankings. And as we were talking, I was like, this is a bad swap for Genevieve because her number one enemy is Aubrey and Aubrey has an idol. And all of a sudden tonight's episode comes out and Genevieve's telling everybody when it worked with you and I'm like, oh, good, Genevieve's through. Then she goes and tells Tiffany who I forgot was on the season. And Tiffany goes and tells Aubrey.
And that's why I'm rooting against Aubrey because it feels like Aubrey might be trying to target Genevieve. So Will, you had to have a lot of ups and downs going on in this episode. And we can get off of the wrap. We'll bring it up later. Cause we'll probably have to talk about it two or three more times. But oh, yeah, of course we do. How were you feeling about this? I mean, we'll get into the vote and everything with Q and all of that. But I really do have to start with this Genevieve Aubrey boomerang idol situation. Because I know that this is a hot topic in the community right now. This was a hot topic when we were doing Predictions of Power Rankings. People were talking about Genevieve finds a boomerang idol and has to give it away. Then somebody else finds a boomerang idol and gives it to Aubrey. And now Aubrey and Genevieve are kind of looking like they're pitted against each other. How do you feel about the way this is shaking out? You're the game design guy. Is this a nightmare situation or is this a good situation? Not even considering who the people are just from the way that it could potentially happen. Wait, you mean not from like a game player people situate your time? I just feel like the rules of how the boomerang idol works.
I'm confused. I want to know how you feel about the fact that somebody who found one had to give it away and now they're being potentially targeted by somebody after a tribe swap who has one that they were just handed. Yeah, I think you could argue, okay, you found the idol, you found the advantage, you should gain some sort of power. But like, I don't know, it's Survivor Season 50, the challenges are dynamic as the fans have voted. I mean, at least it wasn't a Beware Advantage. Like you lose your vote until you get someone else on another tribe to say a phrase. Like we've seen some pretty punishing Beware Advantage. I know I've said, you know, later half of the new era, it's been very little Beware. It's like, okay, the task is super achievable and you're basically just getting an idol. But just because you find something in the jungle doesn't mean you're automatically awarded an advantage or idol, especially if you don't have to do any further task after that. So I mean, if you find this thing and hand it over and now we're swapping, I mean, I think that's fine. And I think what we saw tonight was, you know,
the weaponizing of this information. Who knows about these Billy Isle of Gitals? Who knows who has one? And I think it's, I think we'd have to like almost go back and track it. Because people are saying different things. How many people know who has an idol? But how many people know only like half the story? They're like, okay, well Aubrey has an idol. Do they know that if she gets voted out with the idol that it goes back to Christian? Saying what's Aussie, do they know that if Aussie gets voted out, does it go back to Genevieve? Or is it being pitched by, okay, Aussie has one people want to work with him? Aubrey has one people want to work with her. Like I think something, again, it's not like one thing across the board where everybody knows everything or no one knows anything. I think it's like really fine on who knows what. And that might be actually a little hard to track. And that's actually why I was surprised episode two that we even got two Billy Isle of Gitals. I'm very agitated. There were three Billy Isle of Gitals. Billy Isle of Gimmery and Gitals, excuse me. I should say the full name. But I thought having one was interesting. Two kind of makes it like the theme of the season.
And when that happens, the word is going to get out extremely quickly. And I'm sure Bill, we will see a scene down the line. Like you gave me this title. Is it because you wanted it to boomerang back to you? You want to get me out? Or you want to work with me? Course they're going to say, I want to work with you. But is that going to be believed? Like I think this is part of the design of this title. We get conversations going, I think it would be more interesting if you had three different idols and there was only one of these because then I think secrets are just fun. Yeah. The Billy Isle of Gimmery, I think after this episode, after you swap with 21 people, it cats out of the bag here. So I don't know if you're going to get maybe the effects you would want. It might have played out more interesting or at least be more surprising and more secretive if there were only one of them in the game. But it's not unfair by any means. Yeah, I think that it's because people are really excited for Genevieve. Obviously, rightfully so, people are stoked that Genevieve's going to be on the season. Genevieve's going to be playing with who? Genevieve's had a big edit. And now all of a sudden, it's like Genevieve looks like she's in good and we don't know what's going to happen down the line.
But I know that I had brought up that there's the potential that Genevieve ends up getting idled out by Aubrey. And I thought that potentially could happen this episode and her tribe wins, so it doesn't matter. Maybe they keep winning. Who knows? But my point is I know that when I mention that, the comments really were like, no, that can't happen and they started talking about this dynamic of Genevieve found the idol. And then she could be voted out by somebody who didn't find one who was giving it. But I kind of agree with you. I think that more of the emotional reaction is coming from I'm just looking at our chat. A lot of people are being down on Aubrey over here. And I know a lot of people are really excited about Genevieve. I think if the roles were reversed, people would be like, yeah, this is fine. I think it's a lot of results-based type stuff and I do kind of agree with what you're saying. And then you had mentioned swapping with 21 people. I mean, and who knows what information? You mentioned this back in our episode one recap of all this weaponization of information. And we really saw that come out tonight. I mean, Rizzo knew everything about the ability. The idol is shy. And we have Q who doesn't have a vote.
And then he's trying to claim me as an extra vote. But he's also on a tribe now with Ozzy. So is he gonna be able to pull off that lie and Q ultimately ends up going home and I don't think it had anything to do with that? But like, there is a lot of information out there. And I think that it's actually being utilized very, very well by the players who are playing. But I agree with you now what happens with his Billie Eilish Boomerang idol where is everybody just gonna know everybody who has it? I mean, especially if you've got Emily Flippin running around as just a loose can and telling everybody everything. Ridley told everyone everybody, but like told everything to everyone instantly. And she had Christian on her tribe that she could have gone and like shadowed with before. We could definitely get into that. Yeah, I mean, look, I'm rooting for Genevieve. She's probably out of the new era of people. She's the one I wanna see go the farthest that I'm rooting for the most. She was in a good spot. And I think even like imagining a version of season 50 where Genevieve lands on our feet and is in the majority and people are talking to her and like, if that tribe Luke goes over three and challenges,
I'm pretty confident Genevieve is surviving all three tribal councils. Like that was not on anyone's bingo card. I don't think that's what you would have bet on going into this season. Just with her threat level and the way people view her. And even I didn't listen to preseason interviews, but based on the comments and based on just chatter, people are saying, man, everyone does not wanna work with Genevieve. So like for her to land was awesome. She swaps, yeah, I mean, this is gonna be a worse situation and she does have her number one enemy on her tribe and her number one enemy does have an idol. Again, I don't think this is unfair. I think this is kind of the nature of modern survivor. You're gonna have a lot of advantages in the game. You're gonna have a lot of swaps. There's a lot of luck, but it's on Genevieve to get out of this. And she went around. I think this was probably a mistake from Genevieve in that she kind of, it seems like she went to all other five people on her tribe besides Aubrey. I think there was, and they literally showed every single scene. I think you maybe wanna sit back a day and feel like, okay, who's Aubrey talking to?
Who's she close with? And maybe you can figure out that her and Tiffany have some sort of working relationship. And then you don't tell five people. Maybe tell three people or even two people, but to tell all five other people that you're targeting Aubrey, I think might be a little heavy handed. Again, I'm rooting for Genevieve. I hope she gets out of this. I think, like, yeah, I just, I don't know. I think going around, like you're not leaving any room for Aubrey to have anyone to work with. And that's just never gonna happen. Like Aubrey is going to talk with somebody. And someone is going to let them know that you have gone and said her name. Yeah, I think, I agree with you. I think the biggest mistake that Genevieve made was not taking into account pre-season potential. Cause why would she assume that Tiffany and Aubrey have any type of relationship? They haven't played on a season together. They've played on this season together. They weren't even in the same era. They were 14 seasons, or eight seasons apart from their most recent, right?
So, you know, maybe she thought she was getting away with it. I mean, Joey ate it up, whatever. But I mean, Genevieve probably did do a little bit too much here. And it also hurts her that her closest ally, which is Colby, doesn't have a vote. So, we'll see what ends up happening on that tribe. I'm worried, like that was my prediction for this week. And now I'm concerned that that is like, still might come through fruition, especially if Genevieve doesn't realize what's going on over there. I mean, we heard from Tiffany tonight. Are we in a situation where Tiffany and Aubrey are suddenly gonna take over that tribe? To me, that's a nightmare scenario because I love that tribe. And I don't, I mean, I feel like I'm talking negative about Aubrey. I like Aubrey a lot. But if you're gonna give me coach Colby, Genevieve, I mean, I'm gonna take them a hundred times out of a hundred over me. Joe? Other three. Yeah, I mean, I'll put Joe in there too. I mean, that's a group of four. And that's what you need to do in a tribe of seven. Yeah, I think also this is a very old school tribe. Like, we saw the connection with Joe and coach.
You see Colby mixing it up in there. And that might be another maybe misread or misplay from Genevieve in that. When you get swapped onto a tribe, or even on a starting tribe, like you probably want to just get engaged for like how your fellow tribe mates want to play the game. And on paper, like we, I think we talked about this at the end of the recap last week. It's like that is gonna, they're gonna form an old school like on, on a C integrity loyal alliance. Like that's probably coming with Joe and coach. Might as well throw Colby in there. Genevieve is attached to Colby. There you go, there's your four. And that did appear to be the case. I am aware that Colby doesn't have a vote. I am aware that Genevieve knows that. But if you have this old school alliance on this older school tribe, and we're on season 50 with maybe, you know, more old school players than we've seen in a very long time, do you mean to then go onto the beach and start dropping names? Be like, oh, Aubrey, I'm after Aubrey. She didn't, she said this to me. Like, I get it, it's Genevieve. That's how she plays. She's an aggressive player.
That's why we love Genevieve. That's why she's on this season to begin with. I'm rooting for her. But I am also wish she just kind of took like a little bit of a breather, just like waited a day or like wait to your tribe loses. And she knows Colby doesn't have a vote too. I know, so it's like I just don't know she needs to bring unnecessary attention to herself. And clearly like Aubrey is not going to side with you at this point. And so it's not about losing Aubrey, but it's about like making friends with everyone out. Like I think she first has to fit in on the tribe. I think she was. Again, like that or some right there seems to be a pretty good alliance. It's just now Aubrey is aware you're after her. Aubrey has this idol. Colby doesn't have a vote. Chrissy is hovering around in the mix. We don't know where she's going to end up. So yeah, I'm still gonna, I'm still gonna like root for Genevieve. But I am not feeling calm. Like I can't sit here and be like, no, she's fine.
I can't really say that. And I know we're starting with this tribe and I don't know really how I got here after fried chicken and waffles or whatever the hell Jeff did. Maybe it's just because I saw Colby like not knowing what to do. Jayburn Aquatic here says, never thought I'd be rooting for Chrissy. I did not like her at all in 35. But she won me over this episode. What a legend. Hope she goes deep. What did you think about the way that Chrissy coach that whole conversation went? And Chrissy had a really bad episode last week. And everybody's just talking badly about Chrissy. And now tonight we get her breaking down. We get her really personal moment about the surgeries that she had to go through. These preventative surgeries that she did. I mean, what did you think about this? Like is this the start of something for Chrissy and coach and potentially Colby as well? Is this just the start of Chrissy story overall because she looked like she was screwed over on that other tribe and coach pretty much confirms it tonight. You were going home if we went to travel counts. I thought this was, yeah, it's Chrissy story but I also think it maybe was the story of the entire episode.
We got three versions of the same story. We got this from Chrissy but we also got a version of this with Angelina and we got a version of this with Aubrey too. Tiffany telling Aubrey is a very similar story as Coach telling Chrissy and an Emily telling Angelina. Like it really got revealed like quickly who was on the bottom, who was going home from the original tribe. So I think what was so interesting is how the people chose to handle it. And Aubrey was immediately like, this is where I'd usually want to cry. Guess what, I'm not. I'm not going to cry. Let's take a deep breath. Let's handle it. She knows she has an idol. Tiff, you're my angel. Let's get through this. Like that's kind of like a mature survivor player and Aubrey's played four times. Chrissy was in power most of her season or had immunity on her neck and the post-mortem of her season. And I don't know if Chrissy has experienced this. And I think Aubrey has before being at the bottom or not quite fitting in. And I think Chrissy kind of out of nowhere was like, oh my god, I wasn't fitting in and I didn't even know I wasn't fitting in.
I'm like, that's almost worse. Like at least Andy on 47 was like, I'm not fitting in but I at least know I'm not fitting in and that's why I'm paranoid. I don't know if Chrissy even felt this or saw this. Hey, maybe she did. But I did think it was a nice way to like tell her cancer story and like what she's been up to since her season of survivor. And like that, you know, despite being season 50 it's season full of returning players and legends. This is by no means easy. I think the show is hamming that up quite a bit. That look, this is still survivor. This is not a walk in the park. And that just because you played before or might have fans or might be loved on your season you might come in here and might really struggle to fit in. You might be targeted by people or different reasons that you wouldn't expect. Like this is still a social experiment. This is still people living 24-7 together on a beach with a very little comfort. So like I get it. I think it's a good way to sell that we are still playing survivor despite coming this kind of celebrity status for a lot of these people. Yeah, and I think for for Chrissy too. I mean, there's been a lot of big Chrissy fans since season 35 aired.
I mean, there's been a lot of people who felt she should have beaten Ben. There's been a lot of people who have wanted her back for a very long time. A lot of people thought she was one of the best players of the 30s just because of her strategic game and the fact that she was very good physically. The social game was always the part she struggled with. And when you're watching that happen last week you're saying yourself, man, there's some people out there like they've been wanting this person back on their screen for so long. Now they're gonna get like the Vedish treatment almost. And I know the Vedish stuff was more of like, he's weirdly massaging everybody but it felt like it was just a bad narrative that was going for Chrissy. So for her to get the content she got tonight I was really happy for her. I feel like that tribe got a pretty good amount of content. And maybe that's why I'm starting with them is because I thought they were going to lose the challenge when it all came down to it. I felt like they were getting so much development. There was so much conversation about everything going on. We got such a long scene of Genevieve. We got that part with Chrissy. We had coach, I mean St. Clipo says it up here but being told by coach that you talk too much is wild.
Like I thought that maybe that was where we were going and maybe that's just why in my mind that's where we started. So we had the way coach handle it too. Like he didn't sit, he was walking. I believe who else was in the shot with them. I think it might have been Joe. It was a very casual cavalier like walk down the path. Like by the way Chrissy, like just relax, don't talk too much. You were really pissing people off and we were going to vote you out. So like really chill. All right, like we didn't get coach consoling her or like being like let me level with you. I want to work with you in this game. This is what we have to do together. I want your bow, but you can't do this like last time. Like the coach Chrissy relationship again has been really bizarre all season. And I kept this the third episode I'm going to say in a row on a recap, the omission of coach's reaction to the scene with them in the first episode. I found very odd and then we weren't getting any reads from coach on what does he think about Chrissy targeting D?
Where's this story going? Are they an alliance or are they not? And then here he just kind of like drops this in. This is a very moving scene in moment for Chrissy. But coach is a ghost here. Like he just says yeah, like yeah. Nah, you really got to toe down. It's like, yeah, I don't know if they're working to get there or not. I get to feel very confused. And then you got Colby just wandering behind them. Is that Colby? I remember like a third person there. It wasn't this like private thing I got to sit you down. So yeah, it really wasn't. And Colby was trying to look like Colby had that realization of wait, this is getting serious. Let me look around and he starts looking around and then it was just like, OK, I guess I don't know. It was weird. And I couldn't tell how Chrissy was taking it. Because then Chrissy says I want to go have girls talk. And she goes and she sits on the beach with Genevieve. And who was the other person who sat with her on the beach? It wasn't Aubrey. Who's the other woman I'm going to try? It was Tiff. It was Tiff. So she goes and sits on the beach with Tiffany and Genevieve.
And like, I mean, they have a moment, but she doesn't really say, I can't handle coach. It was just more of like, I'm just down. So maybe it is working out OK for coach, I don't know. Well, for me, this was kind of like Genevieve as a confessional saying people are going to remember when you make them feel good. And it seemed like Genevieve was doing a lot to console Chrissy here. And so if they don't have Colby's vote, maybe they get Chrissy to join them. And especially Chrissy is kind of like an older school player. I know 35 is a necessarily older season, but she was physical. She was fairly loyal to the people she was working with. She is older. I think just older people tend to be a little bit more loyal on Survivor. So I mean, if you got this alliance of Chrissy, Genevieve, Joe, coach, Colby, you just got to avoid Aubrey's idol. That's it. Yeah. And at that point, there's enough ways to avoid that idol. Like, don't vote for Aubrey. Vote for Tiff. But do the vote for Tiff. But you can even split the votes too.
I mean, you could do a three too. And then whoever two they vote for, if there's an idol played, it's fine. There you go. All right, let's jump over to some other tribes here. I don't want to go to the losing tribe yet, since we're already talking about the winning tribe. We might not be able to do that. Yeah, we're kind of, this is weird. Usually we talk about the vote in tribal council. But you wanted to start with the rap. And now we're going to like the tribes that didn't go, but I'm here for it. We're going to cover everything eventually. You know what it is. Okay, so first of all, I want to throw up this super chat here. St. Clipo, how the heck are we getting this cast down to a final three at this rate? The potential twist are giving me nightmares. Yeah. I always do. I think that's why I'm starting with these tribes, because I thought it was going to be two tribes going to tribal council. And then it wasn't. I'm assuming the next three or four episodes are double boots the whole way through, no? But then they're doing a reward challenge next week. So what do I do? Yeah, no, I'm, I was in the middle of this episode at some point a class just like, okay, well, and it was before the immunity challenge even started. I just looked at the clock and I'm like, okay, this is another single boot episode.
Like we aren't getting the two losers of the immunity challenge going into tribal here. And we're going to enter episode four with a 20 person cast. And I don't know, I did a, the most recent season of surviving bar stool was a 24 person cast. And that's how the pre-march worked. It was three tribes of eight, two tribes that lost, voted somebody out. It was a way to churn through people. And even in that, I think at final 13, we had this one game and it had three mini games within it, with the votes within it. And we went from 13 down to 10. And it was this huge twisty thing with, I don't know, you have to watch it. It's actually pretty good. I am so worried that like halfway, we're going to lose like four people at once. And like that's not what I want to see happen. But that's starting to be a concern for me where I appreciated that we got into the season with, you know, we're just going to focus on the losing tribe. Maybe do that for two episodes. By this week, we know the players.
Like they're all returning players anyway. We did a tribe swap. Like I think we could have gotten through a two people here. Because the longer we put this off, the later you're putting into the game where the vote should be more meaningful. I mean, the stakes rise every single time. You're closer to a million dollars. You're closer to the final three. So like, I am very worried that we're going to lose three or four people within one episode. Another thought that crossed my mind, and this is the optimist in me, are we going to get, are there like bonus episodes coming out where it's like, surprise, this is a two hour episode. Or we're going to do two episodes this week. We have one Wednesday, one Thursday. Like this is 50. Like maybe they want to surprise the fans. And it's like, we understand we have 24 people. We understand we have 26 days. We are still going to give you more episodes and not stick to this 13 episode schedule that we've been doing for, you know, years. And we got this coming from Audrey Radajack that I have up here of. I think they're going to start doing triple booths
with each person on the tribune individual immunity. Like, here's the thing with the returning player seasons. And it's every season. The first all stars, we talked about this when we did it for every season matters. There's a really rough stretch in that pre-emerge because the Sue Quit is its own episode. The Jenna Quit is its own episode. They really want to keep the players around as long as they possibly can. We see it in heroes versus villains. It's single boot, single boot, single boot. Oh, here's the Tyson time. But it comes a little bit later in the season. And then we get another double boot way down the line. We see it in winners at war with edge of extinction in general. Like, it's almost like they're scared to just rip the bandaid off. We're going to be disappointed no matter who goes. And it feels like they're trying to get us as much out of these people as they can. But then my concern is tonight, we just talked about it. Like the whole Genevieve and Aubrey of it all. Could they put the votes on Tiffany potentially? We'll see what's up happening. Like, is it better to lose people now
rather than, oh, it's episode six. And now we're getting a triple boot BS if whatever Audrey Radajack is saying, like if that were to come true, we're getting a triple boot BS where the challenge is build the tower with your feet. And then we see like Colby and I don't know who else. Jonathan and people wouldn't be mad if Jonathan went home. I got to think of people who people would be mad at. But it's like all of a sudden, Genevieve, I know. Well, Genevieve, I feel like we'd be good with her feet. But anyway, it's like if you're doing this challenge and it's something BS, I don't know. That's like a challenge win, win, win almost every time. So, I can chance this. Second chance. If sorry, I had to do that. Steven Fishback just goes around correcting people with that nowadays. But my point is, I don't, I feel like you're keeping people around, but the way that they're going to get eliminated down the line is going to be unsatisfying. And I think if two tribes just lose, I'm not as dissatisfied. So that's what my concern is. And we'll see what ultimately ends up happening as we go through. But let's go over to this seal of tribe.
Because this one is probably the one we heard the least from. We had Charlie. I want to talk about the format of this because I think like we're not, we haven't lost it yet. Like there's hope here. Like if, look, we had the tribe swap this week. The tribe swap is a lot to cover. You have a lot of new relationships. Maybe you don't have time to do two tribes in an episode that has a tribe swap. Again, 21 people. I mean, a lot of people have prior relationships. We saw the David Vs. Clive. People got together. We have, you know, I guess Mike White and Ozzy, they went, you know, like Mike goes to Ozzy's restaurant. Like there is a lot to unpack and explain to the audience with a tribe swap, especially with that many people. So I don't want to sit here and be like, no, if survivor ruined it, they dropped the ball. We need to start getting double boots now. I think there's a world we're next week. We do an immunity challenge to two tribes that lose and we get a double tribal and we're like pretty much back on track. And I think that's like, you don't want to do it right at the start because you're right. You need these big characters to last long enough to get to know them and get to see them again.
Like you have people on your screen. You haven't seen it a while. You don't want them to go home early. You don't want to like rip off five boots in two episodes. But I think doing it pre-merge is better than doing it post-merge. So like we are hitting that time where like we need to get there. So let's give it another week. I would understand that the tribe swap might have prevented that from doing that. Okay, now to the other tribe. Well, and the last thing I'll say about that is I thought that next week would be the week and then all of a sudden, like I said, they're showing reward challenge. I'm like reward challenge. We don't have time for a reward immunity and two tribes. Like we have time for a reward immunity and a tribal. I don't think they have time for two tribes, especially if you're bringing Zach Brown out to play as a diddy. Like I don't know if we have time there. I could see reward, especially if you get to it early, we do have 90 minute episodes here. So I think if you get to the reward challenge early, immunity then earlier and then you have two tribes, I think that's not crazy. Yeah. Okay, other tribe, let's go to the, let's go to the seal of tribes. So this is Charlie Devins Surrey, Camilla D.
Rizgod and Jonathan. This was a weird, like the dynamic here was D saying, you gotta get rid of Surrey. One of my best friends told me to get rid of Surrey. If you don't get rid of Surrey, you're gonna regret it. And then her and Jonathan are having the conversation and she says to Jonathan, you know, I don't wanna look back and wouldn't it suck to be blindsided? I don't know if this is a foreshadow or what? But it wouldn't it suck to be blindsided and say, oh, we should have just gotten rid of her. And Jonathan's just like, I'm good with whatever. Let's do it. But I didn't know if that was a foreshadow because he hasn't said much on this season. And then we have Rizzo going and trying to bond with Charlie, but we have this whole Maria Charlie storyline that came up big time here. What is happening on this tribe and how much of this last night flashback of Rizzo saying, I didn't vote for my number one and then Charlie saying, I wanna get this guy out of here. What is what? I mean, I get it from Charlie, like I'm not confused.
I think the difficult here is that Charlie hasn't seen the season and neither is Rizzo. Like Rizzo's played the season, he hasn't seen the season. So like, that's definitely not at all a part of the story that like Rizzo and Sophie were number ones and Rizzo voted for Savannah to win. Like they pleased no role in the story of Survivor 49. And he knows that probably, but like, I kinda get what Charlie's saying. Again, this is a completely incorrect read of what happened. But for Charlie to just be like, wow, you voted for the person you thought played the better game than the friend. But like, I don't know, maybe Charlie shouldn't be that bad because like, I think Charlie can confidently still say, like I played a better game than Kenzie strategically. Like I played the votes and the advantages and the game of Survivor other than just like being liked. And again, I guess that's part of the game. But the things he could control,
more of the strategic elements, no one argued that Kenzie played that better. People argued that Kenzie was more likable and could sway more jury votes and she's more social. And like, that's how she wants. Survivor's a social game with the end of the day. And so I think, yeah, I mean, he clearly is, all we know is that he's going through something. And he even says like, I got baggage. I brought my baggage here on season 50 and it is going to influence the way he's going to play. Like he might come after Rizzo. I don't know, I kind of see this as a funnier scene of like evil Charlie coming out after Rizzo who's like this goofy guy calls himself R-I-Z-G-O-D. I'm getting vibes that this tribe might not go to tribal council. I think that's kind of where I'm sitting with it. And we're going to get some fun stuff here. But I don't know, like if they had to vote, it seems like it's a reason trouble. But again, like you said, that could have been foreshadowing where maybe this tribe does not lose. And then D is later blindsided by Cerey or Jonathan, perhaps.
Yeah, I mean, perhaps. And I think that the Charlie story line was just weird for me because Rizzo and Savannah went into the season not wanting to let people know how close they were. And so I think Rizzo is trying to keep that lie going because now he's on a tribe with people who had just been on with Savannah and he knows Savannah's gone. So he's assuming that's what Savannah told them. So then he's going along and saying the same thing. But for Charlie to react so strongly to this was weird. I agree with you. Maybe this is a tribe that doesn't go. We get Camilla being really excited about the way that this all shook out. We have Cerey and Devon's essentially saying to each other, like, I don't want to let people know how close we are. But we are super close. But then this was the only tribe, too, that nobody's really talking about Billie Eilish boomerang idols. Because it came up on the Aubrey tribe. It's about to come up big time when we talk about the third tribe. But I mean, we know Devon's in Cerey both know about Billie Eilish boomerang idols. But they're not showing anybody really discuss it.
And so that's where I just feel like the story on this tribe didn't fit with what was going on in the other two tribes, which maybe goes back to your point of, they're trying to remind us that this tribe is here, but this tribe's really not going to be going anywhere anytime soon. Well, especially you have Jonathan Camilla. So you have the best physical challenge player and probably the best puzzle challenge player. Like, Christian, I love you, man. But I think Camilla's like got you beat in the puzzles, or at least a lot. Like, I know Christians got the slide puzzle algorithms going with robotics. But in terms of like just getting a clean read on how to put together a survivor puzzle, I think Camilla takes that one. Yeah, yeah. Hi, this is Alex Cantrowitz. I'm the host of Big Technology podcast, a longtime reporter and an on-air contributor to CNBC. And if you're like me, you're trying to figure out how artificial intelligence is changing the business world and our lives. So each week on Big Technology, I bring on key actors from companies building AI tech and outsiders trying to influence it. Asking where this is all going,

So if you want to be smart with your wallet, your career choices, and meetings with your colleagues and at dinner parties, listen to Big Technology podcast or ever you get your podcasts. Cody Braim in the visceral hatred of Rizzo's comment from Charlie vs. TV Gold, I felt so much for Charlie in that moment. I'm team Charlie now. Again, I like that we're seeing Charlie angry and like clearly he was triggered by this in like a very real way. And I find that interesting. I'm a fan of Charlie, but I'm also a fan of Rizgods. And I mean, just watching this scene play out, I don't like my first instinct and thought was like this is just kind of completely unfathened. Like this is like not, it's just not what happened on 49. And like you said Phil, which I didn't even know about, is that Savannah and Rizzo agreed to tell people that they were not close as to protect themselves and not be seen as a duo if they were to get swapped or merged together. Obviously Savannah's gone,
but you brought up a good point. Savannah's already told people that her and Rizzo weren't close. If Rizzo's like actually means Savannah were close, then it's going to be like people are going to be like, huh, why is you guys had like a secret plot or plan? So I get why he's rolling with this. It's just this like really odd thing that Charlie picked up on. That just kind of seems to come out of nowhere. So yeah. And we'll see how this this dynamic goes and we'll get into this tribe a little bit more as we continue going on. Getting a super chat. I updated my profile, pick, hoping my dream comes true, being a guest on the specialist. Also seeing as blinds are me with how good it is. Yeah, it has been, it has been good. I know I complained. I like this episode. I know you just want to hate on it for the rap itself. I don't hate on it. I thought this was still, you know, maybe, maybe the last, I think the first two episodes might be better, but like there's still was a very, very fun episode of Survivor. Like I love just the tribe so I can seeing different players from different seasons
interact with each other. Like I had a ton of fun. Yeah, I'm enjoying this a lot. I think the tribe stop actually worked out and gave us some drama. I just, I look, I have to, I know that the community's going to complain about it. There's people over there who aren't complaining about it. I'm telling you, you're in the minority if you're not complaining about it. And I just know that that's going to be comments and people are going to be talking about it. Look, RHAP tweeted, and I know it's Don Lennon who's doing most of it, but RHAP tweeted is this the best musical moment in the history of the show. The comments on that tweet are just unbelievable. Like, like, it's amazing how mad people are at this. So I'm just going to dress the elephant in the room. And you know what, we talk about all the time. If you want Jeff to stop doing stupid stuff, you kind of have to call him on it. And he thought the hourglass twist was good enough idea to do it twice. So I understand this isn't at that level, but it's, it's just make, I hate that he's claiming that this is what makes survivor a family game. Because to me, what makes survivor a family game? When did he claim that? Did he claim that anywhere? He is now claiming that he is very proud. This is like some of his stuff in his preseason 50 press
and the content he's been doing since all these, all these conversations. And I know that he's doing it for press, but hey, if it's what he's saying, I got to call him on it. He's been saying pretty much nonstop that he's really proud that he has recently turned survivor into a family show. Right, but he's not pointing at the song here. No, but it's this kind of stuff that makes him feel like he's making it a family show. It's the cheesiness that most of the fan base isn't wanting. So anyway, let's move on to the third try. Emily Flippin just dropped a nuke here. Like what is Emily Flippin doing in this episode? This was so fun. And I think this is why I wanted to save this one for the end because I loved watching this. But then every moment, I was like, what is your plan here? What are you doing? So to set this up, Christian and Devons at the beginning of the episode,
they say, hey, we did this. We know that the idols in Aubrey's hands, let's go tell Surrey and let's tell Emily. So they tell Surrey, they make it so that Devons came up with the idea. Christian does a really good job of pushing it off and we'll talk about Christian here. Like there's a really good job of pushing it off on Devons. It would make sense. Devons is played with Aubrey so he gives the idol to Aubrey. So he eats it up. Surrey is all excited about it. They don't get a chance to tell Emily. So on the mat, Christian says to Emily, hey, we gave Aubrey an idol. I'm sorry, I don't have time to tell you more, but like I get and she's like, what? What's going on? So then they get to the camp and Emily just goes on. Like she told everybody every bit of information that has ever been heard in her life. What was going on and how did Emily kind of come out of this? Fine, not just fine, but nobody ever said, we should vote for Emily. She's too chaotic. I don't even know if people talked about how chaotic she was. She ended up in the middle. She was the swing vote. Her and Ozzy were the swing vote.
They were. I think they said more war maybe. Yes. Emily is with either Christian or Ozzy going into the next episode. I already sort of mentioned this, but I think the craziest part of all of this was like you got swapped onto the tribe with Christian. So like you could have hashed out with him before and like you've got two Tribals together and survived and voted together with Christian. Like I think you got to go to Christian first. I'm like, yo, what the, and I look, I'm going to be on Emily side of like I would be confused and maybe a little bit pissed or a little bit like why was it I brought into the loop earlier? And I get it's like, oh, we tried to tell you, okay, not hard enough, not soon enough. Like at some point you knew this, like why didn't you, why are you telling me now? And like on the mat and front of everybody, now I've got to process this. I got to go meet new people and like think about alliance. Like why are you throwing this at me? And I would be kind of pissed at Christian too
and be like, Christian, what the hell? I think it honestly, it would be better if Christian hadn't told Emily. I think the downside of her not knowing about Aubrey's idol is like fine. Like what's going to happen? Look, they don't work together. She votes Aubrey out. Christian, you get an idol. Like I don't know why it was so paramount to tell Emily and it might have been risky telling Emily there. But back to Emily, I think to talk to Q and Aussie immediately when you're on a tribe with Christian without kind of clearing the air, I thought was pretty insane. But that's how Emily plays. I mean, she's spelled the beans and then she goes right back to the David versus Goliath people and ends up just, you know what? I love you guys. This, I actually said this, my bad. They know everything. But before, like, I don't know what else to say. I don't know what else. Well, they're like, inside I have into Emily's antics here, but can we go back to this plan from Christian
to Devons being like, you should say, you found it. So I think there might be holes in this. Like I think this, probably not likely, but like there is definitely a world in which Devons says, okay, or Christian tells Devons, like, okay, here's the plan. We're gonna tell Cereen Emily, but we're gonna tell them that you found it and that you gave it to Aubrey because that, you know, makes sense. You guys play together all that. I think there's a world in which like, Aubrey gets voted out on one tribe, but just, it doesn't matter really who's where. Aubrey gets voted out. Cereen Devons are sitting on the bottom. And Cereen's like, all right, Devons, at least you got that idol back. Like, that's how the idol, that's the Billy Eilish Outer, right? It boom rings back and then they go, well, about that, it was actually Christians. I just didn't know that there was a need to make, especially with the mechanic of this specific idol, the person who gifted it is so paramount to how it works.
Why are you lying about this? I think it might set you up for a trap later that you can't get out of. So here's what I think. I think Devons made a huge mistake here. I think Christian played it perfectly. Christian ends up not looking bad, right? Christian even says, now I'm not the idol guy. I'm not threatening in that way. Devons is already known as the idol guy. So let's see, Devons is the guy who could potentially go find the idol. Devons has a relationship with Aubrey. Now nobody knows that I have a potential relationship with Aubrey, that I could do any of that. And so I think Christian did a pretty good job. I think that Devons might have caved a little too easily here. Might have given him a little too much because I do agree with you. It could come back to bite Devons in that way, but it also just puts a bigger target on Devons back. Like if you're Surrey, you know, Surrey is the right person to tell about this because Surrey has played with Aubrey. Did make it very far in the game with Aubrey on game changers. So Surrey is probably pumped about this because she's saying, oh great, we'll be able to bring Aubrey in. I've already gone to Final Six with Aubrey.
Like that sounds awesome. But at the same time, if your Devons, people are now going to perk their ears up and go, oh man, Devons is back to his old ways. He's finding idols. He's going to try to build bridges across tribal lines. What should I trust and what should I knock? Because he never really had a great alliance on his season. It just didn't happen for him. So I feel like this worked out really well for Christian. It didn't work out as well for Devons. And Jonathan Looney wants to know did we'll just discover the word Paramount. Paramount Plus has got me. Yeah, Paramount Plus, baby. But that's how I take this entire scenario. Now, if they pitch the same thing to Emily, I don't know if Emily reacts as positively as Surrey did because Emily, there's Emily, no Aubrey, I don't know. Well, and maybe someone can correct me in the chat, like they're correct, you might use Paramount, but did they tell Surrey
fully how the idol works again? That was a lot of talk about how the Billie Eilish boomerang idol works. Some people were told that it boomerang's back. Some people were just saying it's a gifted idol. And so I wonder, were they telling Emily and Surrey, I know they weren't able to tell Emily. She found out eventually. Was the goal for them to be like bring Aubrey in and work with her because she has an idol or was it like get Aubrey out of there? So we get the idol back. I think it was the form. I think it was we want to work with Aubrey is what it seemed like, but I don't know if that was super clear. Again, that's been the story of these Billie Eilish boomerang idols all season where it's like, did this person give it to this person to work with them or are they trying to trap them and get it later? Is it a little bit of both? Like I'm still like, I think maybe that's the one thing and I like the mechanic. I like the idea, but I wish it was a little more like I know it's sabotage or I know it's a bridge or a connection.
Like we know the Aussie want to sabotage. We know that it's meant to be sabotage. Now Rizzo is not telling Charlie it's meant to be sabotage but Rizzo told Charlie every single thing about that idol explained it exactly how it works. I don't know if that's what happened with Surrey. Yeah, and I mean, that's the thing what I'm saying about the word getting out and maybe not having two of these might have been too much because yeah, Rizzo is talking to Charlie who's on the same tribe with Surrey who's on the same tribe with Devon. So it's like, we know four of the seven people in that tribe know about the workings of this Billie Eilish idol even though that tribe has none of them there currently. Yeah. And then I just want to bring this up real quick because I've seen this comment a few times. I'm going to call you out to Ergenstein. Sorry, it's happening. Where is this? Because it's in relation to how the tribe swap ended up breaking out. Seriously, DVG plus Emily owned the same tribe after a swap with 21 people rigged. If survivor was rigged, Q would not be walking off that island tonight.
If survivor was rigged, the best narrator on the season out of all 24, the best narrator on the season would not be walking off the island tonight. So I don't want to hear it. The tribe swap broke out the way the tribe swap broke out. There is no way that Jeff is happy to see Q walking off that island tonight. He's the best confessional giver out there. He's pure gold the entire time to save Angelina who they're editing out all of her good stuff. Wouldn't that anything? Give me a break. Give me a break. Cancel everything you got, Ergenstein. Cancel it. So anyway. Yeah, I'm looking up the odds right now. Just for the day of Rose Kalyas Park. So like tacking on Emily is like, you could have picked any, like you could have thrown in devins instead of out. Like just because Christian had made good connections with people, you're just increasing your luck of ending up with, you know, alliance members. Okay, but you move on.
I'm gonna calculate this real quick. All right, you go calculate it. I just wanted to bring that one up. The other thing that was crazy about Emily here, going back to how insane Emily played this. When Emily gets there instead of going to Christian, I don't think she not go to him, she goes to Q and just spills everything to Q. And I have to say, I know Q just got 21st placed on this season. I don't know what more Q could have done. I thought Q did a great job of pitching his case and of just like making the arguments that he could make. And I know he ultimately says to Mike White, vote for me, he's trying to protect Stephanie and Mike White did a great job of playing dumb. Because that's what Mike White does. Mike White did the same thing on Davis Goliath. It's like, I don't know. I don't know what's happening. He was impactful on a lot of votes and he duped Q. But Q, Q was doing that to try to save his ally. Because he knew that there were going to be multiple votes going to step if that was in fact the plan. I'm just saying I feel like, no, I think it makes sense because you don't want step to go. So your thinking is I have Ozzy and I have Emily. Emily spilled so much to Q.
If you're Q, why would you not trust her? Especially because you know that Ozzy has an idol. Maybe he doesn't know that Ozzy has an idol. But Ozzy knows he has an idol. So he's probably even trusted Emily more. That probably made their bond stronger. I just feel like Q can't know all the information we know. And with how much Emily spilled to him, he has to be assuming that Emily is not with Christian. Because why would you be saying all of this to him? And it's too scatterbrained to even make sense. So you think you have Steph, you think you have him, or you think you have Emily. You also think that you have Ozzy because you did spend an entire night with him on Exile Island. And you guys were probably just bitching about coach. You think you have three votes. You think the other three are gonna vote for Steph. You say no vote for me. It's a three to one. He's safe. It makes sense. He has no vote. He can't do anything about it. I'm like dumbfounded that you're even like and I'm explaining this as like, look, okay. Yes, you're right. It works if Mike White goes through with it. But it's not like Mike, you're not talking
to just like some random person off the street. You're talking to a survivor fan and survivor player. Very good survivor player who made it to the finals and probably should have won his season if he wanted to win. Like, and let alone, you don't even need to be that good survivor, understand? Okay, if I'm an alliance of three on a seven person tribe and we're all voting one way and I throw my one vote away, that's gonna give away the majority. Like Mike White knows this that if they don't vote together that their votes lose power, that's how survivor works. That's how majorities work. He's trying to get a plurality. Yeah, just throw a vote away. That would be like in blood-versed water and they're about to go to rocks. But like, you know what? Just vote for me instead. It's like, no, then I'm going to lose a player. Like, I don't understand how this is like an actual strategic plan. Because it did feel like Mike White's whole pitch was, I don't actually want to vote any of you out. So I'm just going to vote randomly. And Q, didn't know Gavin Whitsim was on edge of extinction with Rick Devins because Gavin Whitsim put out a tweet about Devins and how he can't handle Devins
because Devins is a bad person not realizing that Devins and Gavin are best friends and go to like Universal Hallway and Horror Nights every single year together. Q doesn't know what Mike White's game is. With the information that Q has, Mike White is throwing away a vote. For Q to assume that Mike White doesn't understand what to throw away vote in that he would actually consider this. Like, he knows that if like he doesn't write, if they're let's say the plan is to write Stephanie and that they're able to get Emily or they think they've had four votes on Stephanie or some combination that's going to get rid of Stephanie. And she's like, well, yeah, throw a vote towards me. And it's like, well, yeah, then Angelina's going home. Like that's the person you're voting with and in an alliance with. So like it never felt like that was an actual plan that was ever going to like come to fruition. And I hope there's no one say, okay, well, Q's wanted to be voted out, now he's out. Like the target was already on Q well before, at least that's the way the show edited. Like, Q was already on Mike's radar
as someone he wanted to target. He had already put the hit out on Q. So Q then asking him later, just throw a vote at me. I think that's more the irony and the quincens that we're supposed to enjoy. And not really take this as a serious strategic plan. Well, but my other thing, and yes, it's the irony and all that. What is Q's play that's so much better than this? Because I feel like Q did everything he could to try to keep himself and Stephanie safe because he had no vote. And I feel like he did, this is the best thing he could try to do while also threatening as St. Clipo said that I have an extra vote. And I'm going to do this. Now, the extra vote thing is it going to work? No, but at the same time, it's like, what else could he do without pointing so hard? I don't know what else he could have done. Like, again, I don't know where he really went wrong other than his past season, it feels like it. Maybe he was being a little bit too forceful, especially not having a vote if Q comes into this swap and just like, I think when you swap, like after watching this episode, the best thing to do is lay low. Like you got six other people on your tribe,
all returning players, a lot of relationships, a lot of people need to chat. I think you sit in the hammock, let people come up to you, don't start dictating plans, don't start spilling secrets, like don't give anyone a reason for your name to get heat. And I think Q is being pretty, this is the Alliance, this is what we got. And we even heard Emily say, you know what, the way Q talks, it's like, that's Q's game, that's not Emily's game. Like, Emily wants to make the decision here. And that's why she was a little bit bummed with Christian. And like, that's why she spilled Christian secrets. It was like, Christian just blabbers this to me. Last second, like, I want it. Like, why can't we have a conversation about this? Why can't I decide how we play this game? Instead of just being told information, being told what to do, told how to vote. And what does vote for me really came down to. And this is why I thought Q was going home, headed in a tribal council. It felt like Emily and Angelina really clicked. It just felt like a genuine connection. And I'm not going to fault Q, because like, Q, you should have clicked with Emily. I mean, maybe they didn't click. Like, that's survivor. That's how it goes. Emily, in forever reason, Emily and Angelina
really hit it off. And I do truly believe Ozzy wanted to keep Q. But I think Emily said, you know what? I'm not changing my vote. I'm sorry. Ozzy, if you want to vote out, Angelina with Stephanie, go ahead. And this can be a four to vote or a five to vote or maybe a four to three at that point, if they knew, if they didn't know that Q had lost a vote. I think that was the maneuver. I'm not sure if we want to blame or put any blame on Q making up that he had an extra vote. I think at that point, that was Q trying to maybe put the pieces back together. Again, good attempt. I think people would buy it. He was on exile. It could make sense. But I really just think this was Emily and Angelina. Maybe we got to give credit to Angelina for winning Emily over. I think we do. Because she saved herself here a little bit. And I'm going to be honest, I think this is a bad move. For Emily, for Emily, I think it's a bad move. Because if the David versus Goliath three do stick together,
Q was 100% right that if they stick together, like you guys are done. That's why he was worried about Steph going home. He didn't want that to happen. Now, Emily might feel like I have a great relationship here with Angelina. But if you get down to four on that tribe, are Mike White and Christian and be willing to go to rocks for you, Emily, I doubt it. So I just feel like you're giving the power to the David versus Goliaths here. Maybe her relationship with Christian is better than we're being led to believe. And maybe she feels like her Christian, Ozzy and Stephanie can work together. But if the David versus Goliath groups are going to work together, does she really that confident that she repaired the damage with Christian after she blew up his biggest secret in the game? Immediately upon entering that beach and then she goes and apologizes to him. But even if Christian and her know each other outside of the game, if you and I had that situation, I might be like, Will, no matter what your pitch is here, I don't know if I can trust you again until this game is over. Because that's a really, really aggressive move.
So she's almost banking on the fact that she does have a better relationship with Angelina and Christian that maybe Mike doesn't. I just don't think she does. They went to final seven or whatever it was together. Mike and Angelina were sitting in final three to get. Yeah, no, I've been saying that kind of the first two episodes, why are you not splitting up the pair of Serene, Ozzy? Like when you see a clear pair or trio that feel like they're going to vote together and you have the votes to break that up, I think you should take it. Not to mention challenge performance. Like I think Ozzy was like, look, can we get rid of Angelina and keep cute so that we don't even have to go to tribal again? Because now you've given the David Vs. Goliaths three out of the remaining six people on this tribe. So now it's like, that's it. I guess Stephanie is now firmly at the bottom because Ozzy did vote you out. Ozzy didn't want to, Emily just wouldn't budge. But I don't, yeah, I don't think this was
necessarily the right move for Emily. Like I think she just feels good about Christian, their friends. Had a good chat with Angelina over the course of two days or something like really felt connected there. I don't know really her relationship with Mike. I mean, it seems like maybe she's just like the fourth David Vs. Goliath, if you want to. I mean, maybe that's the thinking Bill. Like, especially if they are positing like we are that at some point there's got to be double boots. At some point we're going there. Like we might go to back-to-back Tribals. We might go to Tribal Council a few more times. Like if I can just hop in with the David Vs. Goliaths, we have four. We can then vote, you know, we'll take out Q, then we'll take out Steph, then we'll take out Ozzy. And there we go. There's three eliminations right there. That should last until merge. Maybe not enough. And if there are double boots coming up, this try probably loses multiple times. Ozzy hasn't won a challenge yet this season, which is crazy. And yeah, Steph would go, but then Ozzy has an idol.
And I know Emily doesn't know about that idol, or at least I don't think she knows about that idol. But Ozzy goes and he plays that idol. He probably doesn't use it to get rid of Emily. But I just think Emily, I don't know, maybe she does. Maybe she does and I just feel like Emily's in a bad. I can't say it's a bad position because there is a chance that Ozzy and Steph are now like, hey, we want to go this way. Christian, you have to break that up. We're not giving you a three to advantage over there. But I don't know, and Angelina, I will give props to because she did do a great job here. And this was this was maybe some of her best relationship building in the history of the show because she got zero votes when she made the final first time. But for Emily, my concern with this Angelina of it all is just simply that you're banking on a relationship that you've built in this short time. Being stronger than Mike White had Angelina have a speaking part on season two of the white load. We saw it. We saw it tonight. I know that was that was the budget everybody. Next week, they're they're not I doubt they paid for that.
I bet Mike White can get that for them. I bet you Mike White did everyone was saying, oh, they had to pay Warner Brothers. It's like Mike White can call anyone to be like, look, a month survivor, give him some footage. Give him the thing. It's a clip of her like it's going to be fine. And so you have Angelina sitting there with Mike White. Angelina and Christian are very close. Like Christian was in season three. Yeah, exactly. So I just feel like it's I can't call it a terrible move from Emily because Emily's not the next boot there. But I do worry that she just gave too much power to the day versus collieth people. That's my biggest concern is that she just gave too much power to the staff is done if they go to travel counts. But I could bad. No, I could be just more of like a just like a haven. Like you're you're you're killing you know you can hang with them until the merge hopefully. Like if your tribe gets down to four, then you're probably in trouble. But like do you really think you're going to get down to four with that tribe before another swap?
Here's another question for you. If it's going to be a five one pile on on step, do you think there's any shot Ozzy would play the idle four step to not allow it to be a three to two advantage for the David versus collieths to protect staff and try to keep that or you think he doesn't care. I'll just play it next time. I you let staff go. You hope you don't lose if you lose. You played on yourself and then you're surviving farther because if you played on staff and send out a dvg, Emily's still there. Like I said, basically four of them. And then there's three versus two the next time. And so you're and then you've played an idle successfully. Now you're a bigger jury threat. Now maybe target you. So I think you last longer keeping it a secret and letting staff go then play on yourself the next time. The math on and you can only play it for yourself. The chat corrected me immediately. The boomerang idle can only be true too. I'm thinking I think it's like, I think it's weird. Like I get not giving it away because that can like convolut the mechanics and workings of it
but like playing it on somebody else. I don't know why I get I don't know why that's in the, in the rules. The math on three people land, specific three people landing on the same tribe is seven point eight nine percent. That's actually not that crazy though. Yeah, eight percent. That's not that crazy. One in 11, one in 12 times. Yeah, I mean, that's not that. The odds of the entire Lesu five staying together on a three tribe swap is a lot higher. Yeah. Or you know, five of the six or whatever it was. Like all of one of three tribes being Lesu as we saw on edge of extinction, word-ogged of the math there. You know, Tergingstein wants to know plus Emily. This is a, but again, like Emily, you could say Emily, but they had other alliance members. They, they, they, they, they're devins in there. You chose to re in there. Like, and then I'm sure Mike and Angelina had their number ones that we might have seen.
Like they're, I think it's, those three are objected from the seas, same seas. At that point, you just, you're just making alliances. You're just increasing your, the, and again, pre-gaming everyone could have done. So it's like not that, not that crazy either. Like everyone has relationships. So this is a comment and we're not anywhere near wrapping this up. But I just want to throw this one up because this is a super chat from a long time ago from somebody who doesn't normally super chat. So I want to make sure we get to it. But it's one that made more sense after we talked about all the tribes. Eric Krun asked, what are your best, slash worst case scenario winner for the season based off what we've seen so far? Appreciate all you guys do for the community. Best case scenario based on what we've seen so far. And then what's your worst case scenario? Coach, still the best, right? I think there's a lot of, there's a lot of good scenarios for win, wins right now. Like Christian, everyone is saying he's like in front right now. It's his game to lose. I think I saw in the chat. It's because he's getting screen time. Yeah, I think he's a great character. So like he's going to get that content anyway.
Genevieve winning would love to see it. I don't care if she's new air. I'm rooting for Genevieve too. So Reed might get her first survivor win. I mean, there's a lot of good outcomes here. The worst case, who's like the worst case scenario? It's still Tiffany. Like nothing has changed for me from the start of the season to now. Good job. Like, okay, here's the worst case. Like honor and integrity alliance, group up, don't lie or ever, never deceive, never play the game. The gonging post marriage, we merge it like 14, but there's an eight person honesty and loyalty. And then they run through it. We get five boring votes. And then the core four of that, then the gong, the rest of the four from their own alliance into fire making and we get like a Joe, I never lied. That's the worst. There's the worst case, right? No, it's okay. You know why it's okay? Because the core four of that alliance would be Colby, Coach, Joe, and probably. Genevieve.
Genevieve. Yeah. Genevieve is in there. No, but if it's like. That's the group of four. I will watch that. And if Joe wins, it sucks because. Yeah, I don't want Joe, but I'm okay with that being it because I'm playing favorites. It's Chrissy. Tiffany Camilla Joe as like the four. Yeah, I just don't, I don't see how Tiffany Camilla would play that game. But you don't know what school vibes are kicking around this season. We do. And my thing is pretty much where the season started to where I am now. I am still rooting for the same people. Like nothing has changed. Nobody has dropped off for me. Angelina had a bad second episode. She was kind of invisible here, but then I appreciated what she did with Emily. I'm really enjoying Emily. Like the people that I was rooting for before the season began Colby Devins. That's still where my head is at. Like Christian, I think is having a great showing so far.
So re obviously is having a very good showing in terms of like who would be worst case scenarios for me. It's not even like worst case scenarios. Just like, I don't know Tiffany. I don't think Charlie winning would be great right now. Like, and this isn't like, oh, I just like these people that should be off. I just right now they've done nothing to grow in my estimation. This is Alicia the winning All Stars. Like, no, like I don't know you enough. Nothing has changed. Like Amber winning All Stars was a bad case scenario. If you were asking people after the third episode, most people would have been like, hell no, it can't be Amber. Now some people argue that Amber and Rob is great. Oh, it is great. It's an incredible ending to that season. And that's what I'm saying. Like we could get, I mean, maybe we get an incredible ending to this season from somebody we're not looking at. But right now, especially again, that 20 people left still. It's like, we are starting the season. Yeah, it's fine. Like, yeah, there's so many ways this can go.
I think that's a good point Bill. Like, oh, what if we see a Tiffany win? Like, what if she kicks ass and plays an incredible game and we're rooting for Tiffany at the end? Like that's totally in the cards. Yeah. Yeah. All right, so we got Cody Braiman. I also love how Emily was the most gung-ho about voting Oscar out to becoming here. Him becoming her number one ally is hilarious. Oscar, shut up. Oscar. And then we got cool shots back to the challenge. Cody definitely got a concussion, dude. If I get a second Medevac and it's from that same tribe and it's called, I'm losing my mind, he cracked his head there. And that's what I have another Genevieve ally telling you. Oh, man, I am telling you. I just, maybe he did, maybe he didn't. He was staggering. But then again, Cody's old. Cody doesn't quite get to the level of Andrew Savage, levels of exaggeration. But you know, he might exaggerate a little bit. I mean, I don't know. I just remember Andrew Savage on either Pearl Island or Second Chance, we're literally starving.
We, our bodies are eating themselves. I'm like, all right, dude, like I get your hungry, but like seven seasons have done this before you, or six seasons have done this before you're gonna be okay. Anyway, so who was this? Eric Kruinen said anyone know if confessional count came out. It did. Emily had the most with nine for anybody playing along in the prop back game. Nobody had zero. Everybody got at least one this episode. I'll tell you what, if a lot of ones, you wanna hear the ones just cause it was a lot just to see like, I think this is fun. Just rip off the whole list at this point, you know? I mean, this is your favorite part of the episode. I'm sure it is. Here we go. And let's see what stands out to you. So from that, from the tribe that went, Q had five, Q ended with 18. My guy, that is the third most of the season this far. He delivered, Q, you might have been out in the third episode, but you absolutely delivered. Okay, Emily had nine. Christian had six, Mike White had four, Angelina Ozzy and Steph all had two. Going to the tribe that had Colby on it.
Aubrey had one, Coach had one, Colby had one, Joe had one, Tiffany had one. Chrissy had two, Genevieve had four. Genevieve currently has, it's tied for the third most confessional's in the game of the people who are still in the game. With Rick Devins, only behind Ozzy, who had 19 in the first episode and Christian, who's been the narrator and the star of the season so far. And I'm looking, Genevieve's cooking, on the orange tribe, Rizzo 3, Rick 3, Sirree 3, Charlie 4, D, Jonathan Camilla all had one. So everybody got something? Good, Phil. I'm glad that makes you happy, I know. Yeah, I mean, look, that's good. I mean, it makes me happy too, though, because like we really are looking forward to watching these people. So I'm glad that they're finding a way to kind of give everybody like, hey, this story could be told by three different people. Let's give each one of them something. Like Jonathan and Dee both got something about the same topic tonight, but that's good. I wanna know where both of their heads are at. I don't need Dee telling me, oh, this is where Jonathan is thinking, or Jonathan telling me, oh, this is what Dee is thinking.
So I appreciate that. I mean, right now, Christian and Ozzy are running away with it, but that's because of Ozzy's first episode and because Christian really in episode two, pooped his pants. I mean, those are big, big reasons for why that all happened here. And Christian and Ozzy have both gone to every single tribal council. And Emily, who has 13 confessions was just tied, is the fifth most on the season so far. So it makes sense. Yeah. Should we give? Yeah. I don't know if we talked enough about Q. Like Q is gone. Like, how are you react? Are you feeling like to me? I know Q is a fan favorite, everybody wanted him back. Weirdly okay with Q going. We saw him play so recently. Part of me, I'm feeling like we're going to see him again, not only on Survivor, but other shows. I think we could see Q on the traders. I think we could see him on House of Filens. I think if dealer, no deals still existed, that would have been a possibility also. So like, I'm, look, I love Q. I think it was entertaining.
Like you said, probably the best narrator of the 24 person cast, but like, I think we got, we got from him. I liked his ex, I don't think with Ozzy. Like, I'm cool with it. Like, I think there's enough players here, especially in an episode where it's between Q and Angelina. Like, I think it'd rather see Angelina because we haven't seen her in a very long time. She did a waiting to play again. And I don't know if we're going to see Angelina make an appearance elsewhere or even on another season of Survivor. So like, I'm okay with it. Yeah, here's, yeah, I agree with part of that. Q is going to be back on Survivor again. Q is an easy, we got another all star season, who we bring it back. Honestly, this can sound crazy to some people. Out of the first four boots, I could see all four of them being asked back again. I know some of you be like, Jenna Lewis, really? I could. Like, Jenna Lewis delivered more than they've gotten from any other season one player, other than probably hatch on all stars. And what they got from hatch on all stars isn't what you actually want from a season one player. I think Jenna Lewis absolutely delivered in her one episode. And I think she would, I think they would ask her back for sure.
Savannah and Kyle, 100% would be asked back. I mean, especially without Kyle went out, Savannah playing back to back seasons, 100%. Q, I think is a lot. Jeff absolutely loves him. Like, there is no, so behind the scenes here, because when I was at the premiere for 48, Jeff is talking everybody, whatever, and Q comes up, and Q just had the baby and everything. And Q comes up and he's just like, Jeff's talking, everybody says, I just want to introduce you to my wife. Jeff stopped and was so happy to be talking to Q. Like, and like we've seen, we've both seen Jeff at events or whatever. I mean, we were at the EW Popfest. We're going to play back in Moniel's version X. The absolute joy of Jeff seeing Q, I think he'd ask Q back on any season. It's like if Mike White wants to play, Jeff's going to say yes. If Q wants to play, Jeff's going to say yes. So I'm not as bummed because I know we're going to see Q again. But Angelina's not bringing it this season. And somebody has to say it and she's just not. She's not. No, I appreciate what you're saying. But she's not bringing it.
I said this last week. I think she's like grown as a person and grown into a less entertaining version of her, like for survivor. Like she's just not as good of a TV character anymore, which is fine. But just because Angelina hasn't done much yet, it doesn't mean she can't do something in the future. Like I still, like, I don't know. I still was, I still would have rather had the potential for Angelina to deliver. Like I would have been bummed losing Angelina here without seeing anything. Like wow, that was a complete whiff. Whereas now it's like at least I have hope can maybe see something from her. Whereas Q, I've already gotten Q. Like Q is always Q fully and he's going to continue being Q. And that's why I just think Angelina on survivor feels like it, you know, this is probably it for her. This is it. This is it. Unless they decide somewhere down the line that she's at a different point of their life. But like Angelina, Angelina is still fine
as a character, but it's not the Angelina we thought we were getting. And this is what happens like when you cast so far apart or something like that. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. You think about Kelly Wigglesworth, I think up until maybe a season or two ago, I forget who it might have been, had the most confessional's of any woman to ever place survivor. Then she comes back the second time it has five. And she makes it to what ninth place or tenth place is just five the entire season because she just didn't bring it. At a different point in her life. Angelina is so different of where she is that I think it's impacting what the producers also want from her. Like realistically, they don't want mom Angelina who is super put together and like showing off that she's really intelligent and like aware of her surroundings. That's not what they want. That's not what they got back in day versus Goliath. They got a much more entertaining character. One of the most beloved characters in the history of the show, the thing with this version is if Angelina was going to win, they would make sure that we fell in love with this version of Angelina more. And I don't feel like Angelina is going to win. Maybe she's got some legs
because she's got the day versus Goliath Alliance because she has Emily, as Terrigan's time said, because it's rigged for her. But I do feel like right now, I would have taken Q over Angelina 100% of the time and people would have been like, oh, but Angelina, what could have been? This is New Angelina. This is different Angelina. And that's fine, but it's ultimately, I don't think it's going to amount to much the rest of the season because I don't think she's suddenly going to change me asking for jackets and eggs and all this different stuff. I think she's just going to keep being Angelina. Yeah, I don't know. It's still so early. Like, I don't know. This was her first tribal council she attended. Like, what? Like, we had to give these people room to play. Yeah, we do. I was okay. I was, I was weirdly okay with Q. And again, it's the comfort of knowing that he'll be back. He's going to be back. He's going to be on something. Did you hear Jump said the people they contacted for 50 that didn't make the cast are absolutely still in contention? To come back. I mean, did you hear that?
I did. Yeah, that was, that was right after he, he actually wrapped that news in the, in the article of which he said it. But no, he did say that. It's good. I, um, did you know? Tonight was the first time Rick Devins has ever won a tribal immunity challenge. Wow. I mean, he was on the disaster tribe of the OE. And then when he comes back from the OE, it's the merge time. So yeah, I mean, that, that, it's up. But it's just funny. He, he, he goes as far as he does an edge of extinction. And he actually makes it to a swap. So he's been on, this was his fourth pre-merged tribe that he's been on in the first time he's ever not gone to tribal council. There you go. Is that Philly worthy? Is that Philly worthy? No, no, Philly, Philly, Philly's interesting. Cause Emily was the big character tonight, but I am so conflicted on what Emily actually pulled here. And I don't know if it was the good stuff.
I'm gonna give it to Mike White. Yeah, this was Mike White, move. Yeah, I think Mike White deserves it. I think Mike White did such a good job of playing stupid that they all fell for it. And that's what ultimately led to Cuban comfortable saying, Sure, whatever, that's fine with me. And vote for me. Let's save stuff too. I think Mike White is what kind of kept Christian and Angelina together. I think he just built a good alliance. Him being with Ozzy. I mean, maybe the swap worked out for him. I don't know. I think Mike White gets the Philly. Yeah, we haven't really given much credit to Mike White for this move, but this was absolutely Mike deciding who on the other side do I want to go? Who's the biggest threat to me? That's cute. Yeah. What we're doing, there it is. He was gone. Like he just executed that on cue perfectly. Yeah, he really did. And he almost flinch with the extra vote. Just didn't even like, well, we need to split or I need to pull an extra vote in. Just talk him out.
Yeah, I'm surprised that Mike White is still so on assuming being like who he is in real life. This was perfection. He's playing a character like we know he's an actor too. But he totally convinced me. Like, yeah, I'm just gonna do this. I'm like, why is he telling them to their face and then he just goes over to Angelina? So I'm telling them it's staff but we're really gonna vote for a cueist. Damn, he's playing, man. He's playing survivor. Yeah, that's a calculated move right there. Yeah, it really is. We're getting the Willie there. Yeah, I'm also conflicted here. Cause it's hard to give it to either of the tribes that didn't go to travel accounts. I just don't know if we have enough information. Like, do we give it to Aubrey? But it's like Aubrey has the idol. She made the relationship with Tiffany. So that's good. Do I give it to Genevieve? Because I think she maybe opened her mouth a little bit too much. I don't think I could do that. Not mother of Eve, Phil.
No. So I kind of have to look at this tribe and I think like Stephanie lost her number one ally. Seems like she's on the bottom. Like, was that really her fault? I might have to give it to Emily, which might sound crazy. I don't know. Emily kind of spilled the beans and then had a backtrack. I think it was pretty sloppy gameplay from her. And I know she ended up being in a swing position, but we say this a lot of times when people end up with a swing vote, it's more circumstantial doing San Juan del Ser right now on every season matters on the Patreon. It's like, yeah, John and Jack and I have a swing vote. They earn that. They do anything to get the swing voters. They just fall on the lap. Like, I think the tribe swapped the way I worked out with the three David versus Goliaths. Emily found herself very much in the middle being so close with Christian. She could kind of go either way. And look, I think she did a good job making a relationship with Ozzy. I think that could be very important. But the spill Christian's info and then completely flip back and forth. And then I do still think voting out
one of the David versus Goliaths would have been more wise. You keep queue for challenges. You break up a trio of three that are likely going to vote together until the merge. So I'm going to give it to Emily here. And I think we talked about this before the season began. Challenges are going to be much more important on this season because at some point, we're getting double boots. We haven't gotten them yet. Kyle getting meta-backed might have actually slowed down the double boots because maybe they can work on one. At this point, but Kyle got meta-backs and they say, okay, that's already one episode done. Let's move on. I feel though that you have to be assuming double boots are coming. Challenges are more important than ever. You just voted out, Q, who's a great, not, I mean, look, he's been on the disaster tribe every time. But when you look at the rest of that tribe, Stephanie, fit, sure, but she's older. Ozzy, good at challenges, but he's older. Like we've seen Ozzy take a little bit of a step back. Christian's not as good as Christy or Camilla at puzzles.
That was proof tonight, Mike White. He's got abs, but what else does he have? Emily and Angelina, not very good at challenges. So when I watch this, I say to myself, like this was a bad move. If we're gonna start doing double boots, this tribe is going every time. So if we get three double boots and there's no other tribe swap, this tribe's going every time. But I could see another tribe swap because I think there is. I think there's definitely another tribe swap. We saw it in 49. We had two tribe swaps and you had thought, hey, maybe this is a test run for 50 just to see how it shakes out. So as we starting with more players, it just makes a second tribe swap more doable and more likely. I don't think Jeff ever likes when their relationships get stale or things are set in stone. So like, why not mix it up again? Again, this could be the correct move, Ramley. And maybe it's a conservative move and that might be why I'm against it. Or like she has now this safety in this four,
but you know they're closer to each other than they are to you. And I think she could have used this as an opportunity to really like make a bond with Ozzy, Steph, cute, like new people and then like keep Christian in the game. Like keep Christian as your number. So I mean, it's tough here. The Willie is always tricky because he can't give it, I can't give it to Q. So it's like, I think, yeah. And even if this is the right move, I think she was too sloppy with her strategy. Yeah, she talked away too much. I think she just kind of, again, just for the sole reason that you have Christian on your tribe to go clear the air, like to drop his info that he was confiding in you too. I know you don't like being told information late, but you still have to at some point look at it like, okay, at least he was reaching out telling me something before I go onto a new tribe without him, perhaps. Like, yeah, I don't know. And the other thing is with Emily, this is the same mistake she's made in her season. Like she got in trouble early on her tribe because she said too much.
And then she ends up getting voted out because she wants to brag about the fact that she's the one who got Bruce out. That it was all her, that it was her idea that put a target on her back. And I feel like maybe she wouldn't get rid of Angelina because Angelina for her is important and she likes Angelina. Maybe she had to go and pitch to everybody. Let's get rid of Mike White. And if we don't get rid of Mike White, it's probably gonna be one of you. I think that pitch might work. I think Q, and I think that Ozzy, and I think that Stephanie, I know Q didn't have a vote, but I think they might have been more okay with voting out Mike White. And Emily, that's who she's got the least amount of bond with. So maybe you get rid of Mike White there and that's how you get rid of the Davis-Goliath. And you say, no, Angelina, I wanna keep and here's the reason why. One, I'm a little closer there, but two, she's an easy boot next time. And they're now the Davis-Goliaths are weakened. Maybe that would have made more sense. Yeah, but the whole reason for moving the target off of Angelina is because you have a great relationship with Angelina, and now you go vote out her best friend. Like, I don't know if you're maintaining that great bond
with it, like, I don't know. It feel like if you're gonna stick with Angelina and you're like, we have this great bond. And you know, Christian's already in that group, you have a good bond with him. Like, I think you're either sticking with that group or you're going against that group. I don't know if like, playing the middle on that is going to like keep you in the good graces of either side, and you might, you know, fall into like a Sarah Lissina Caguian situation where it's like, why is Emily swinging back and for the why are we letting her dictate this? Let's just take out Emily. So, yeah. Emily had a big episode tonight, but I think Emily, when he chances took a big hit tonight. Yeah. I don't know if that makes sense. All right, I agree. I'm gonna go over to the questions. Is that good? Questions? Yeah. Let's go over to the questions. So the questions for tonight, I gotta actually find them. This is my fault. For anybody who's playing along in this game. And look, if you're not playing along in it right now, real TV fantasy, I post the questions, you can jump in, even if you're late, you're not going to be able to win the Todd Herzog pop Funko. But play with your family.
Do something, right? On Wednesday nights. Like, it gives you some extra reason to watch the episode, something little fun. Name one of the first three people, Jeff will name when introducing the new tribes to the audience. It was Charlie D and Riz God. Who will Jeff compliment and a challenge? The only one he complimented was Chrissy, and it really came like right at the end of the challenge. When he was saying you put yourself in that power positioning, you did it. There were a couple of times you said catching up. I said that catching up is not a compliment. That's just a statement. Who will say the episode title that was Christian Hubecki when he said to Charlie, did you vote for a swap? Right after Charlie was complaining about the swap. Who will have their mouth blur? Christian, coach, Emily and Q. First person, Jeff asked a question. A tribal was Stephanie. Who will have zero professionals this week? Nobody. Most professionals is Emily Flippin. Participate in a puzzle, Charlie, Chrissy, Christian, coach, Genevieve Camilla, Ozzy, Q and Rizzo. First player shown holding the tribal immunity idol after the immunity challenge was Camilla. And who had the deciding vote? It was a tough one this week, because it was Q and it was hard to tell, but it was Christian. So Christian had a big week from this episode,
which is what my guest last week, Joe Dorowski had guessed the author of Survivor Cultural History. He came on and he was picking Christian for a lot of stuff and Christian ended up being the answer for a lot. Patrick Day Stahl says, join now, you can probably still beat me. The scores are low, except for the, there's a couple of people now who are in a double digits finally, and there's a couple of people who are doing really, really good stuff. I am, I, I know you reminded me 10 minutes before I didn't see it. I'm real, I need a reminding fill. But look, man, I did my best. I'm not going to give you too much of an advantage. I'm assuming, look, 10 minutes before I got inside addition on, I am suffering through whatever the rest of that episode is. Like that's what my life is becoming. I watch 10 minutes of inside addition. You want to see something silly? Like not really, but I guess I have to right now. So Jeff cannot be considered for an episode title because the format over on Real TV Fantasy only allows for players to be the answers. So no, anything else from this episode, this is our shortest recap so far.
It's still an hour and a half. It's still longer than the episode actually was. But I just love talking about players that I actually know. And I feel like there was a lot, like we had said at the beginning, I had to rip into the rap just because I knew people wanted that and because I got to be the nice version before Blake comes out and is like, Jeff needs to go into a retirement home. However, like there was a lot to chew on here. And even though it might not have been as strong as the first two episodes, this is a good episode. And having the tribe swap does leave a lot up in the air. So I'm ready to watch. Tergen Stein says, what about the coach Colby, Joe Alliance? Well, coach and Colby getting together and being on the tribe together, I'm all about that. I hope that they are the final two. I hope it's a final two and it's them. Did you vote for a final two or a final three? Did if I was allowed to and they said it's gonna be coaching Colby as the final two or you can vote for a final three, I would vote for a final two just to make sure it's the two of them. Because that would be the greatest final two of all time. I don't even care. Finally, something to top Brian and Clay. Joe and Tiffany. Joe and Tiffany, no way.
It's not happening. But I know your heart on Joe, are you entertained by Joe this season? I mean, last week, Joe is kind of like one of the most important people in the episode. We talked about the Devon's Joe conversation maybe 30 minutes last week. I absolutely, he provides a different energy and is a different character, not a ton from him tonight. But it was funny coach being like, the only reason I'm here is because you brought back honesty and integrity loyalty. Like that was, you know, for coach to get swapped onto a tribe and then say, enjoy to you in your season. And this is why it's all about me and why I'm here. Again, like, I hope that's the coach we love. I hope coach, I'm still open for coach to win. Yeah, I'm really hoping. So speaking of Joe men at tomorrow night, 7 30 PM Eastern time digging deeper with me and Blake, Sunday 6 PM Eastern time. I got Kelly Wentworth coming on for prediction of power ranking. So plenty to talk about there with Aubrey. What time? And with 6 PM Eastern.
Okay, yeah, it's sent me a reminder. Yeah, I've sent you 10 minutes before. I'm sure you'll be there. We got to remind me about Sophie. No, of course not. Will's got to do his own calendar. I'm not realizing the conversation with the survivor alums. You're like, I don't want Will to talk to them because then they're going to have more fun with Will. They're going to like Will more. This is my podcast. I'm the number one specialist. We can't have Will on here. I only have Will for recaps. I think that's what's going on. I mean, I want to text you 10 minutes before and you're going to be like, well, it's, it's, it's selection Sunday. Like I'm going to go to an Oscars party or something. Like it's Oscars Sunday. And then the next week, oh, well, the NCAA tournaments on. And the next week, well, the NCAA tournaments on, you know, I mean, Will, let's be real here. I already know. And then it's Easter. So I know you're out on Easter. I mean, I this Sunday at 3 PM. What was I doing? I would have been great. Well, this past Sunday wasn't at 3 PM. It was like 11 in the morning. James Barber Bro is not showing up. Thank you, James.
Well, I can't show up if I don't get a lot of it. Well, he's like, you're allowed to write reminders for yourself, Will. Yeah. I guess, but I need Phil to be like, yo, we're doing it. Because I don't feel like I'm welcome. I think that's really, that's what it's boiling down to. I don't feel that Phil wants me there. I think he likes to have the one on one time. Did you come on any podcast you want and you know that? It's just, it was always like, yeah, just, just let me know. Maybe I'll be there. Will is that friend where you say, hey, man, we're like, going to go to a bar tonight, you think? Just let me know where you go. I might show up, although Will would show up to the bar. That's for sure. I sure for things all the time. I'm very much a dude, like go, yes, man, go ahead and do it. Give it a go, give it a try. Show up, drive out there, see the people. Go to the birthday party. So the problem is he's saying yes to too much else to show up here. Ryan Chan, the last one, season 50 intro was awesome. Coaches shot is the best. You can start it off with coach doing coach. She that was sick. I love that. I was so into that. Yeah. Phil does not want to be overshadowed by well, I don't think it would.
That's big. I don't know. I'm on to you, man. I can hold my own. I'm confident in that one. But really, it's, I got to get a Blake Phil will podcast and, you know, we'll just get a guest on there and the guest won't even exist. The guest. Yeah. That's why we have the Patreon, you know, Phil will Blake always hatred on dot com slash specials. We're doing Sam Mondo sir right now. I will say I am watching, uh, I'm watching World's a part that season has a lot of issues, especially with some of the meanness from that cast, but my God and my entertain. I am laughing my ass off the entire time and a lot of times I'm laughing and not feeling like I should be. And it was very ironic. We watched Kelly last night get clocked in the head by the thing falling and then tonight I watch Colby smash his head into a pole. So, uh, Moses like says, well, we see Alexa this season. Yes, she will. It's coming up soon. Um, well, you have any last words that potentially rhyme and have a little bit of rhythm to them. But let me know when Alexa's on I'd love to be there. Yeah. Exactly.
Exactly. All right. Well, like this video, subscribe to the channel patreon dot com slash a specialist. John and I did do a special Oscars episode yesterday. So if you're interested in the Oscars and you want to, if you're entering an Oscar pool or something, we gave our picks for every category. It was a long ass podcast because they just keep adding categories to make the show even longer and longer and longer. But it was a fun podcast. We talked about all of them and we're two of the few people who actually have seen all 10 best picture nominees because you know, everybody in the academy didn't based on what they're saying in the variety thing. So, I mean, if you've seen the betting lines, like it, I feel like they're all decided. No, actually supporting actress is the most wide open category, maybe of all time right now. Okay. The, the leader is currently plus 120. Which as you know, that means there is no favorite, like, no, I know, I was looking at some. It's like minus odds for almost all the, you know, other big categories. Yeah. I mean, actress is over. Best actor is now up in the air. Michael B. Jordan has taken over as the favorite, but I think you could win some stuff there with Timothy Shalamay.
But, uh, turn in science as Oscars or joke, nobody watches that. Well, then I guess I'm nobody because I watch it every single year. So what do I know? I used to like the Oscars, but the thing was, you're right. They make it too long. They don't show the clips anymore. That was the best part. He like, here's the nominees for the best actor or best actress. And then you would show like a 15 second snippet. And now it's like a half a second frame and it's like, okay, that doesn't do anything for me. I mean, they're actor coming out and being like, you're so wonderful. I remember that time we were on a movie to get this like, I don't care about what they've done together. Anyway. All right. That's it. We're wrapping up. Like the video. Subscribe to the channel tomorrow 7 30 PM Eastern. That's what it's all about. We will see you guys later. See ya. Yeah. Shalamet didn't say anything wrong.
