I say that, hello, I'm an orax, and I have a thermostat in my nose. Just a second, before we learn about that thermostat in your nose, we need to find out what an orax is. An orax? Oh, why exhale? He's an antelope who lives in the hot, dry deserts of Africa and Arabia. An antelope? Okay, and I'd say you're a very handsome guy. African and Arabian zoologist, Sadie Orax, is just about the most beautiful antelope in the world. Your color looks just like the hair on a fawn. You're right, my color is fawn. Pretty brown and white. Did you notice my muzzle? Yeah, yeah, your face looks like you have a, well, like a bridal on it. But I don't. Looking closer at it really what it is is black hair in the pattern of a bridal. Yes, doesn't it look like someone put a black leather bridal on me? Sure enough, especially that part around your mouth and nose. She ate, but how do you like my horse? Oh, man, Mr. Orax, they must be two and a half feet long.

I think they're so majestic the way they arch over your back. Yup, they're my swords. Imagine you use these in combat, huh? Sure. If a lion attempts to grab me, I lower my head and smash him with them. Tough, boy. I can see how they tear anything up. They're so slender and pointed and sharp. They look like two curved spears to me. Make a gave them to me for self defense, Uncle Bob. Well, how tall are you anyway? I'm all of four feet tall. Okay. Now, do Oraxes travel in herds? Yes, generally from about six to twelve. But when the mamas are expecting the baby Oraxes, there are as many as sixty in the herds. Wow, the large number feels secure. That's right. They feel stronger that way. What time of the year are the babies born? During the rainy season, Uncle Bob. Rainy season. Why then? This shows the creator's great plan. He taught us Oraxes to plan the time of our baby's birth for the rainy season. Otherwise, the young would die of starvation. Oh, I see. In other words, the babies drink mamas milk and Mrs. Oraxe would not be able to find enough water in the dry season to manufacture her milk.

But you've got it exactly. So the creator taught you to have your family only in the rainy season? Yes. And in Africa, that's between September and January. I see. Interesting, Mr. Oraxe. Why don't you tell me about your weather in Africa? We Oraxes prefer the hot, dry deserts. Why? Oh, I suppose it's because there are less enemies out here than in the tropical jungles. Okay, that makes sense. But how can you stand that terribly hot weather? Oh, no problem. No problem. Remember, in the beginning, I told you I have a thermostat in my nose. Right. So tell me about it. Not yet. You need to know something else before I share that with you. Okay, I'll play your game. Tell me how hot it gets in your area of Africa. Oh, 110 degrees Fahrenheit. That's 43 Celsius. And how does this temperature affect you? Oh, it doesn't really bother me too much, Uncle Bob. Okay, so you must know how to live with the heat. Tell me how you do it. You see, my body temperature rises with the heat. And my blood gets warm, then. You see, I've got to breathe heavily. Okay, so how does breathing heavily help you?

Well, you see, my blood naturally flows through my lungs. And it heats the air there. So I just breathe out that warm air. Okay, check, and that cools your blood as you get rid of the hot air from your lungs and breathe in the fresh air. Right on, Uncle Bob, right on. Mr. Orrex, what is your normal body temperature? 96 degrees Fahrenheit. That's 35 on the Celsius. Men, when the temperature of the air gets above 96 degrees, what then? And my body temperature rises right along with it. You mean if the air temperature is, say, 104 degrees, your body temperature has also risen to 104? Or most, Uncle Bob, it'd be 102. Is he by heavy breathing? I can lower it to two degrees. Okay, but Mr. Orrex, just a second, from 96 degrees, which is your normal body temperature up to 102, that's six degrees above normal. No, if we humans at a temperature is six degrees above normal, we'd be terribly sick. We'd probably be unconscious and might get brain damage. Yeah, well, I'm not a human, you say.

The great creator made me differently. Well, just how differently did he make you, Mr. Orrex? He put a thermostat in my nose to protect my brain. Okay, finally, we're gonna learn about that thermostat in your nose. Tell me more. When it gets terribly hot in that temperature of my blood soars to 102 degrees, my brain is a cool 96. It's, but just a second, the blood from your body flows directly into your brain. How could that be? Yeah, that's where the master designer did a super engineering job on the Orrex. This proves that he meant for us to live in the hot African and Arabian deserts. Okay, let's have it. You've got me interested now. In my nose, there's a thermostat that adjusts the temperature of the blood before it gets to my brain. Oh, I see it intercepts it. Well, how does that work? The blood flows up to my nose through the big artery. Okay, that's clear. In my nose there, that artery branches off into a lot of other little veins. Oh, so that one artery does not go directly to your brain?

No, but the veins do. Okay, so what happens? As I breathe through my nose rapidly, these veins are cool. And you breathe out that warm air from the blood and you take in fresh air. Yes, and instantly this lowers the temperature of the blood in these veins. And the blood going to your brain is cooled. My coolant, man, I cool it. I mean my creatodiles. And you don't become sick or dizzy and pass out. Yeah, and there's no brain damage either. Fantastic. And you say most animals do not have this special cluster of veins. Oh, no. Most animals have one direct artery that leads to their brain. Mr. Aurex, if you did, you wouldn't be alive. Or at least you wouldn't be living out in the desert where it gets so hot. Occable. And nobody but the intelligent creator could get inside of my nose and connect these special veins to my artery. And then have them cooled instantly by the air from my nose. Well, you know, some people try to tell us an evolution gave them to you.

Intelligence scientific people know that that was too complicated for evolution. That had to be the walk of my career. Check, friend. Check. You said it better than I could. Now, certainly, you drink water, Mr. Aurex. But where do you get it in the dry season, you know, from February through August? My maker taught me to eat at night, Uncle Bob. Eat at night. Well, how does that help? At night, after the air cools off, the plant leaves and stems contain 42% more moisture than they do during the hot daytime hours. 42% more. Well, he causally didn't know that. So that's where you get your water when the old water hole is dried up and it doesn't rain anymore. Yes, from the plants. During the day, the sun evaporates most of the moisture from the plants. There's only 1% moisture left in them during the day time. Well, I didn't know that. But as the sun goes down, the air cools naturally and the plants pick up 42% moisture from the air. Right.

You're quite a guy, Mr. Aurex. I know my friends see clearly now that you were designed by an intelligent creator. Yeah, that's really why I stopped in today. It just to get you to see that. Well, you did it. Tell me, Mr. Aurex. The Aurex, a product of Jesus Christ, the great creator. How well do you know him? Feeling to know God, feeling to show God that I love Him. That I love Him. In today's true story, there are quite a few heroes. But not one of them is named. And believe me, they were important because they saved the life of the Apostle Paul. Today's true story opens in Damascus, Syria, nearly 2,000 years ago. Oh, that's right. People of Damascus, folks.

Thank you. Three years ago, I was on my way to your city and I had orders from the chief priest to arrest these people who believe in Jesus Christ and bring them back and put them in prison and even kill them. Oh, who is this dude? I don't know. He's the Apostle Paul. But folks, I never really got a chance to see because just outside of the city of Damascus, a great light shone down from heaven had blinded me. I naturally fell down to the ground and then I heard a voice. It was the voice of Jesus Christ and he said, Why are you persecuting me? What did Jesus mean? You're persecuting me? Yeah. I thought you were just persecuting the Christians. Madam, you cannot persecute the Christians without persecuting Christ because he's part of them. In fact, he is head of the Christians, see. Hi. It's interesting. You'd like to learn more. Me too. Are you a Jew, sir? Yes, I am. I'm from the tribe of Benjamin. In fact, I used to be a Pharisee before I trusted Jesus Christ as my Savior.

Can you come back and meet with us and tell us more, Paul? Sure. Gladly. Very good. All right, Paul. So we know that Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again from the grave. Right. So what is there for us to do? Right, right. Receive him. Tell him you accepted he did it for you. See, he paid fully for your sins. And he will forgive me? Yes, sir. A hundred percent. And along with the forgiveness that the Lord Jesus Christ gives you, He also gives you His goodness, His righteousness, and He credits it to your account. Very interesting, sir. He said that makes us good enough for heaven if we have Christ's righteousness or His goodness, huh? Exactly, my friends. Exactly. Now the decision is up to you. Whether you are going to personally receive the Lord Jesus or not. I'm going to receive you, too. I already have. Yes, you do. I do. While the Holy Spirit of God was at work,

winning the Jewish people of Damascus to Christ, Satan, the unholy Spirit, was at work, too. The chief priest is meeting now. This is cases. I've heard the ultimate. What is wrong behind the solemn process? The coin poll now, right? No, I know. He used to be one of our great helpers. He persecuted the believers in Jesus, right? Well, he doesn't do it anymore. Now he's converting them to Jesus. Bad, bad, bad. And that's true. Genji, please don't. It's not necessary. You got it the first time. Your Majesty, what do you suggest we do? Kill him. Kill him? Yes, we must. It's essential. He's a very intelligent Jew. And he's able to persuade our Jewish people to trust in this Jesus of Nazareth. I could see what you mean, sir. He'll ruin our religion unless we wipe him out. Press the word, Sergeant.

He's up in Damascus. Go get him tonight. Yes, sir. I'll get a goon squad to do it tonight. Meanwhile, back in Damascus, Paul was discipling the new believers in Jesus Christ. I have to say it by faith. Me too. I'm not the same guy I used to be. Thanks to Jesus Christ. I'm sure most of us can see that, Paul. That's right. My whole family has received the Lord Jesus now. And what a change. Hallelujah. Peter is the Lord, friends. I'm so happy. You're going to have to get out of town. And men are coming after you. They're going to kill you. Oh, no. I think I'm going to change. Listen, it's dark. And our host is on the city wall of Damascus. Yeah, I have a big basket here. And the wrong rope. I suggest Paul if you get in that basket. Paul, you have to win through it. Paul, city walls are going to escape safely. Yes, but the pods, at least we can do for you. Thank you, folks. You've been so great. With the right, Paul, we have to get in the basket. Quiet, everybody. Quiet. In here.

Goodbye, folks. Goodbye, brother Paul. God bless you. Thanks for teaching us the word. So the apostle Paul escaped safely over the Damascus city wall in Damascus. And he went on to win many others to the Lord Jesus Christ. And with the help of the Holy Spirit to write most of our New Testament. In today's true story, there were quite a few heroes. But the Bible doesn't even tell us one of their names. But that doesn't matter because God knows. And he'll reward them for it. Just like he'll reward you even when other Christians don't see what you've done for Christ. Think it over. Today's true story came from Acts 9 verses 23 to 25.

It's a way to look at it. Glory to His name. That's what the Bible says. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Thanking God the Father and the Father and the Lord. May you live happily ever. Glory to Jesus Christ. Glory to Jesus Christ. Glory to Jesus Christ. Thanking God the Father for it. Can you do both of those things? In other words, whatever you do, do it in Christ's name, just like you're doing it for him. And can you thank God for it? He's, you have a super-duper week till next time Uncle Bob, your friend sings. Bye-bye for Story of a Green Time.
