Storms Wreak Havoc in Central Alabama

0:00From Birmingham, this is your March 10th update. Cleanup is underway across Central Alabama after strong storms hit Monday evening with heavy rain and gusty winds. Downed trees and power lines cause trouble in several spots, including Oak Grove, Adger, Bestavia Hills, and Hueytown in Jefferson County. Roads got blocked temporarily as crews cleared debris, like a big tree on Independence Drive in Homewood and fallen trees along roads in Talladega. A flash flood warning stayed in effect until 11.30 p.m. for parts of Jefferson, St. Claire, and Shelby counties. No injuries were reported, and weather service teams planned to survey Damage Tuesday in Winston, Tuscaloosa, and Western Jefferson counties.
