Storm Dave: UK Braces for Easter Weekend

On April 3rd, large parts of the UK are gearing up for Storm Dave slamming in over Easter weekend.

Yellow warnings for fierce winds kick off tomorrow, April 4th at 5pm, and run through 7am, Easter Sunday, hitting spots like Wigan and Bolton Hard.

Good Friday looks messy with light rain and showers, maybe heavy downpours around 1pm, but it eases up by late afternoon for some sunny spells.

Expect highs of 14 degrees Celsius in Greater Manchester, dipping to 3 degrees overnight.

Forecasters say these winds could gust up to 53 mph late Saturday, messing with travel and outdoor plans across Northern England, North Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

A snow warning even blankets Northwest Scotland, so folks are wisely batting down. Storm Dave hangs around Sunday morning with more gusts, but Greater Manchester clears to sunshine by day,

topping 10 degrees Celsius before 1. Degree lows at night, Monday saves the best, all sun and 14 degrees with 7 degree nights.
