Stop Dimming Your Light: Step Into Your Power & Become Unapologetically You
About this episode
In this episode of the Owaken Podcast, Hella Omega and Lukis Mac explore why so many sensitive, spiritual, growth-oriented people feel like they’re “too much,” leading them to read others, filter themselves, and dim their self-expression to avoid judgment or rejection.
Drawing from client work and personal stories, they discuss how early experiences can create “too much,” “too deep,” or “too weird” wounds, how empaths can become hypervigilant and disconnected from their center, and why discernment matters when sharing intuitive perceptions.
They emphasize that you’re not for everyone, encourage shifting from people-pleasing to self-leadership, and reframe personal power as choosing what’s aligned for you.
The conversation highlights building a healthy ego, accepting that not everyone will like you, committing daily to a focused timeline, and using practices like meditation, breathwork, and journaling to tune into your intuition and celebrate the very strengths you’ve been judging.

Have you ever felt like you're too weird, too spiritual, too sensitive, too deep, the odd one out, like you don't belong? So many of us feel this way. And as a result, we develop the ability to read everyone around us and adapt to be what is needed in the moment. Now, that can be a superpower, but it can also be something that really holds you back from taking up space and expressing your gifts in the way that you're actually meant to and capable of. So in this episode, we're going to dive into what will actually help unlock more of your power in a way that is of the highest good, in a way that is going to make a positive difference on this planet. And in a way that has you feeling free and having more fun, I'm so excited for this one. It's so needed. Let's dive in. Welcome to the Awakened Podcast. Where we share practical spirituality from modern living.
Join us as we dive deep into conversations about healing and transformation. Let's go. What's up, everyone? Welcome. Great for to be here. Cheers. Another episode. We're subin on Muncher. If you're joining us at home, grab a tea, a muncher, a cow, a coffee, whatever you want, let's go. All right, let's set an intention for this conversation. So you know how we do it. If you're tuning in at home, you can close down your eyes with us and we're going to take a deep breath. What's your intentions for today's conversation, hello? My intention is to activate everyone listening, to see their gifts, their brilliance and the importance of taking up space. Yeah, I want to bring a little bit of spice to this conversation, get people into a spicy playful flow
where they can feel confident and empowered to take up space and live more unapologetically. All right, cheers to that. Just go. Yay, love it. Or we, that's good. Mmm, this is so good. Muncher made by Lucas today. What did you put in this? It's got some vanilla protein powder. We're switching it up. A little bit of coconut oil, almond milk, a little bit of monk fruit for sweetener and so much. I love that, not that. We get asked all the time about our much recipe, our cacao recipes, and I'll just quickly say a little takeaway for anyone who's curious. The coconut oil is such a little known hack. Yeah, it's a game changer. It makes it more creamy. You don't realise, right? Yeah, you've got to blend it though. So if you're making a muncher, you can put a teaspoon of coconut oil and blend it up and it will just make it that much more creamier. So let's dive in. Where do you want to start? Okay, well, I would love to start
with sharing a bit about the context for this conversation and what inspired it. I've been working with multiple clients this week who have been struggling with overcoming this deep fear of owning their power and taking up space and being intense and being perceived as too much. And this is something that we work with people on a lot. It comes up all the time and I think this is really over to one. Yeah, this does come up all the time with clients. So how are you noticing it? Manifest, how is it showing up? Yeah, I'll give you a specific example. One of the things that I've personally experienced that my clients are experiencing is this ongoing feeling that they're too deep. So they're spiritual, they're interpersonal growth, they're curious, they're learning, they're wanting to be better and they don't enjoy superficial conversations. They're not enjoying coasting along in life
and being around people who have zero ambition or aspirations for anything more. And so they're finding that when they're around certain people, they feel like they're too intense, they're too deep, they're too growth oriented, they're too into personal growth. And so there's this division, the sense of, am I the problem? Is there something wrong with me? Do I need to tone it down? Am I too much? And they're feeling alone and going into self-judgment. Yeah, do you think a part of that showing up for people because they don't feel safe to be their raw, real, authentic self? Like they hold back from sharing more of their weirdness or more of the things that they're actually into. Well, I think you're touching on something really important, which is that when you don't feel safe to be your full, intense, deep, weird, unique self, you're going to be a tone-down version of yourself, you're going to start filtering yourself and people don't even really know you.
Yeah, that comes from self-judgment though, right? When we're filtering ourselves because we don't feel safe to be our authentic self because there's a fear of judgment or there's a fear of being rejected or being misunderstood, that's usually where it stems from so then we end up filtering ourselves. But when we're doing that, we're holding back from actually finding our people. Because if you're not being authentic and sharing the real you, then how can people get to know the real you? Of course, when you start doing that, you're not for everyone so some people are going to be more repiled or put off by what you're sharing and what you're into and what you're talking about but other people are going to be really interested. So you start to filter out the people who are not meant to be in your life and you start to attract more of the people who are meant to be in your life when you start being your weird, authentic, real self. And I say, weird because a lot of people live in the spiritual closet and they don't really talk about the things that they're actually into, like the things that they're researching, the things that they're passionate about, the things behind closed doors
that they spend a lot of their time focusing on. Mm-hmm. Something really specific that actually came up in a conversation that I had with a client was they feel like they can't say what they see. And when we're very intuitive, we do start to see and feel and notice things in relationships whether it be with friendships, with family. We start to pick up on things and it can be like your elephant in the room where you don't know if it's appropriate or safe to say that thing. And this is a really nuanced conversation, right? There are times where it is overstepping to say certain things. It is inappropriate. It is inconsiderate. It isn't helpful. Something that has been really supportive for me is to ask myself, why am I sharing this? Why am I saying this? What is the purpose? Because when I get curious about it, not everything that we're aware of or thinking
needs to be said out loud. So there's a balance here in this conversation where being your weird self is important, honoring your authenticity and your self-expression is important, and it's also useful to have discernment and know how to read the room. Yeah, well, one is focusing on you, right? Like when you're being authentic and being your real self, that's about you giving yourself permission to be you, which has nothing to do with other people. Now, what you see in other people and the patterns that you observe and what you sense and feel intuitively is more about that person, right? And like you're saying, someone who's intuitive, you might be sensing and seeing a lot. But that doesn't mean that it's appropriate to share any of that information. And also, what are you making that information mean? Because if you're thinking that you need to fix change or support this person through whatever they're going through and that's not invited, then that's not appropriate, right? Because sometimes when we sense and feel a lot of information,
especially when things are really unresolved, like people are carrying a lot of dense, heavy energy in their field, we don't feel comfortable being around it. And as empaths, if we don't feel comfortable being around more of that dense, heavier energy, we want to shift it, we want to move it, we want to do something with it, because ultimately, we feel uncomfortable. I'm so glad that you brought this into the conversation. I feel like we're already diving into the deep waters here because I can recall for so many years that I struggled with this. And I didn't actually realize that I was so sensitive, but I had a very low capacity for a long time to be with my sensitivity, like my window of tolerance to feel deeply and to be thinking about things and picking up on energies was quite limited, which meant that it was almost exploding like a volcano sometimes. And I felt like I had to say it.
I had to express it. I had to be seen in my emotions and that often led to feeling let down. And as though people couldn't hold space for me or couldn't handle me. What made you feel like you had to share it rather than kind of just keeping it in and reflecting on it? Well, you don't know what you don't know until you know. And so now I can look back and hindsight and I can see that the reason I couldn't contain what I was feeling was because I didn't have the tools to hold space for myself. So when I would have things come up, I didn't know what to do with it. It's like a hot potato of sensation, of energy, of thought. I'm picking up on things in the room. I'm feeling what someone else is feeling. And instead of being able to be present with that and regulate myself, I felt like I needed to do something with it. I had to get rid of it. I had to share it. I had to vocalize it so that I didn't feel so alone
with the intensity of it. And so what I've learned over the years is that if I don't have the tools, what makes me think other people have the tools? Yeah. So I'm sensing and feeling a lot right now from my environment, from these people. I feel overwhelmed with this sensation, the feeling, the emotions, the thoughts that are filtering through my body, mind system. And I don't have the tools to self-regulate in that moment and ground myself. So I feel anxious. I feel overwhelmed. And I think this is where a lot of empaths find themselves in social situations when they're around people. And they are sensing and feeling a lot. And this comes back to being connected to your center because as empaths, we've been conditioned to put our focus out here on the external. And in doing that, a lot of the time we disconnect from our own center because we're focusing our attention and awareness out here. And for many of us, it's a trauma response.
It's a way that we learn to keep ourselves safe in environments that didn't feel safe. I think we're touching on a root wound for a lot of people. And I know for me that this is the case, it's painful to express yourself vulnerably and to feel like other people can't hold it. They can't handle it. They don't know what to do with it. They're actually finding that you're overwhelming them. And no wonder as young people, like as children, when that happens, we interpret it often as there must be something wrong with me or it's not safe to open up because I can't trust other people. And then we can develop these stories like I am too much. It's not safe to express myself. I am too weird. I'm alone. I'm not relatable.
Other people aren't here for me. They don't actually care. They're selfish. I'm the one that cares. I'm the one that needs to be the spaceholder. And so we start to adapt our behavior and our way of relating to people and instead of staying open and authentic and in that flow of connection, we decide that we're going to be safer and more in control. If we filter ourselves, we dim down our self-expression and we focus on everyone else. Yeah. And we call that dimming your light. And so many of us are dimming our light and we're playing small. And that comes at a real cost. And many of us have learned not to express ourselves fully like you're saying. We've learned to not take up space. We've had experiences of expressing ourselves and being shut down or being judged or being rejected. And now our brain and our nervous system are seeking to protect us from having those experiences again.
So we filter ourselves and we hold back. I've got a story around this one. I was really young, maybe around six years old. I was in school. I remember the teacher asked us to write a story and we were writing in our book and I was just lexic. And I had started writing in the back of my book. It's a fresh book. You mean to write in the front of your book. However, I started at the very back of the book. And I remember I'm only six years old and I'm excited to write my story and I start writing it out. And it feels good. Like in my creative flow, right? I'm just playing. I'm having fun. I'm writing. And the teacher comes up to me and she gets really pissed that I'm writing in the back of the book. Like you're doing something wrong. And I remember she was quite triggered in that moment. And she took my book and she actually ripped out the page, screwed it up, and made me start again writing in the front of my book. And I remember feeling really embarrassed and overwhelmed and like I did something wrong
and my creative expression wasn't good enough and I wasn't free to just express myself. And I remember making a choice in that moment and obviously this wasn't conscious. But I remember feeling like it's not safe to fully express myself. It's not safe to be my unique, weird self and just follow my flow and do things the way I want to. I need to do things how other people want me to do things. But I was only six years old and I remember that experience. It really stuck with me. That experience is such a powerful example of how a single defining moment can ripple out for years to come and change the way we feel about ourselves and the way that we relate to others. One of the things that you described was that you felt like in that moment it cut your creative flow like it wasn't safe to be creative. And I'm wondering for you if you noticed that play out in the years after that. Yeah, definitely, especially around my creativity and my expression.
I loved to draw on paint and I always felt really shy and a little bit embarrassed around showing people what I had created. So I loved to create, but when it came time to show people, I'd always find myself holding back. Like I felt a little bit unsure of what I was creating, even if I loved it. I didn't really want to show people. And I even found that around my music. I've been creating music for a very long time and it took me a lot to like share my music with people. And it was such a vulnerable process because obviously you open yourself up for judgment and rejection and other people's opinions. So that's something that I've definitely struggled with and had to overcome a lot. And obviously it's not through that one experience. There's many different experiences that can lead to not wanting to share my creativity with other people, but often what we find with clients is it's not what's happened. It's the story and it's the meaning that we make around what's happened. So in that moment I felt embarrassed. I felt like I had done something wrong. My creative flow had been cut off.
And I internalized that is I'm not enough and I am doing something wrong. And it's not safe to share my creativity with others because I could be punished or judged or made to be wrong. And we all go through different experiences like this in our own way, you know? And these shapers like you're saying, they become unconscious programs that drive our behavior. Mm hmm. It's interesting because as we've been unpacking this, I've been getting little flashbacks to my own childhood and how these too much wounds have developed for me. So I want to point out that there may be defining moments that the listeners have experienced where it's like, okay, someone said something to me. I made it mean this about me. And then I began to adapt. But another way that it could happen is you could be in an environment where you feel like you can't relate or maybe you feel embarrassed about what's happening. Maybe it's in your family, maybe it's in your culture
or a religion. And that starts to create this sense of disconnection or awkwardness where you start to shut down. So I grew up around very creative, self-expressed people. My parents were both DJs and artists. When I was growing up, we lived in a place called K-Road in New Zealand, which is a place full of super eccentric people. And I remember that I would go to school and I would see all of these quote-unquote normal people, normal kids and normal parents. Like the parents that were very wholesome and they would take their children to tennis lessons and then on the weekends, they would have barbecues and they were married and they owned houses that were white picket fence. You know, very wholesome what I thought was a normal family. And I grew up in an apartment where three to four nights
plus per week, we were having house parties and my parents were going out and DJing at clubs. And I was surrounded by the most creative diverse people. A lot of the times as a kid, I felt like I had more friends that were adults than I did friends that were children. And so that started it for me where I was like, where do I fit? Like I want to be normal. I just want to feel like I fit in and belong. And it felt like I was just born into weird. It's funny because now I look back and I'm so grateful. I had an amazing childhood and everything that I experienced that was eccentric and diverse is the very reason I am who I am right now. And I think the way I think, like it all added up and it makes perfect sense. But as a kid, I didn't have that wisdom.
I was in the wound. I remember I would come home from school and cry to my mom because I felt like I didn't fit in. And in our apartment, we didn't have a shower. We only had this bathtub. And I would go in the bathtub and I remember even things like that would trigger me. And I'd be like, why don't we have a shower? We only have a bath and we don't have these things that other kids have. And again, as an adult now, I look back and I'm like, everything that I experienced was phenomenal. But when you're a sensitive little kid that's afraid and doesn't feel safe and is overwhelmed, we really can make a mountain out of a molehill and then go on for years and years and years to build it into this massive story. And so for me, what it led to is this ongoing assumption
that people are going to think I'm really weird and I need to tone it down and I need to act normal. So then you fast forward to me starting to be able to spontaneously channel all of those wounds came up for me where I'm like, I'm the weird one. I didn't choose this. Why me like, no one is going to understand me and I'm going to be pointed out as the freak. I love that because I purposely chose that life. That's one of the reasons that I'm so heavily tattooed. I chose consciously to not fit in. I wanted to not fit in. I wanted to be different because I was always different. That's the way I felt. I knew that I wasn't meant to fit into the mold of what a normal person was meant to look like or be like whatever that means, right? But I just knew that I was here to be different.
And for me, I chose that path consciously and I didn't have a fear around it like you're saying. So I'm glad that we were able to meet and connect because I feel like I've been able to hold that pillar for you around be you like take up space. Like you're channeling is one of the things that I love so deeply about our relationship and our service and what we do out in the world. And a lot of it's private. A lot of it we don't share with people. Most of it over 90% of it. But in our private life, it's one of the things that I love the most because it connects me to my soul. It connects me to why I came here to this planet. And that information and that energy is such an important part of our mission and what we're doing with the wake in. And while we're here and the people that we're here to serve, like you're saying, I remember coming home from school and I to didn't fit in. And when I'd come home, there used to be this bookshelf that Mum would have and it would have all kinds of spiritual esoteric books like on all kinds of mystical topics like aliens
and witches and dragons and spirituality and Jesus and Buddha and you name it, right? It was on the bookshelf. And I was fascinated with this bookshelf that my Mum had created. And I would always flip through the books and have a fascination with extraterrestrials and dragons and witches and ghosts. Like I loved it. I was so excited and hyped on it. And that became a part of what I'm really passionate about. And now, grown up, that's a part of what we do for a living. Like we make contact with non-physical beings. We connect to people's loved ones on the other side. You channel, we support people to connect to their own power from within. We support people to access their own intuition and develop that so it's strong. So they can sense clearly what's aligned for them and what's not aligned for them in their life. We help people heal their relationship with their past. All of this wouldn't have been possible if men you didn't have the upbringing that we have had.
So I'm so grateful for your weird self. And I want you to bring more of that out because I think it's a really beautiful thing. Because I know that a lot of people really resonate with it. Not everyone, but there's a lot of people who are like us. There's a lot of people who are really weird. There's a lot of people who don't fit in. There's a lot of people that feel like they're the black sheep of their family. So we're here to represent for all of you tuning in and give you permission to take up space, give you permission to step into your power and to speak your truth and to own your life and what you're here to create. And a big part of that is stepping into your personal power. So from your perspective for the listeners for everyone tuning in, how can people actually start to make the shift? I think you've touched on something really important, which is to recognize that you are not for everyone. But there are people who are like you in many ways who will resonate. And I know that we can say that and it can go in one air and out the other,
but really contemplate it for a moment. Let it marinate, let it stir in your system. That it's actually impossible for you to be likable to everybody. It just doesn't work like that. Life is so diverse and there are so many people on this planet that that is a real waste of energy to attempt. So instead, what you can do is accept that there are going to be people who really like you. And the quickest way for you to find those people is to let down those walls and those guards and dissolve those filters and just try on being yourself. Something that has been really pivotal for me is learning to take things a lot less personally. And I know from working with many highly sensitive people
that the shadow side of this gift of sensitivity is we can take things super personally. Like our deep feeling actually does make us too sensitive sometimes. Let's be real. When you make everything about you, you are taking things way too personally. It's often not about you. And so for me to recognize that and lighten up a bit has helped me to get more into my body and to live less in my head and to shift out of that hyper-vigilant, heady state of over-analysing and making assumptions about what people are thinking about me and then adapting myself to be whoever I think they need me to be. Like what about giving less ifs and trying on, it's not about you and you've done nothing wrong and you don't need to adapt, you don't need to change, you can just own it and it's okay. Like there's nothing to fix, you're good.
It's funny because when we have like a disempowering sense of self and we're not really connected to our personal power like you're saying it's really easy to take things personally and make things about you. But on the flip side, when you are connected to your personal power, making things about yourself actually becomes a really good thing. For example, when I walk into a room, I'm not thinking about how I'm going to be perceived and if people are going to judge me, I'm thinking about whether I want to be in this room, whether I actually like this person, whether I want to be around them, am I interested in being around this person and what they have to say? And if it's no, I'm going to move on. I love that reframe. It's still a way to make it about yourself, but in an empowering way. Yeah, think about going to a job interview. A lot of people are like, am I good enough for the job? No, the job interview is to see whether this is aligned for you. Like obviously you don't have the final decision, but you need to decide in that interview if this job is aligned for you. Do you resonate with it?
Do you want to be in this space? Because you're going to be spending a lot of your time there. And if it's not an alignment for you for any reason, you need to decide from your own personal power that that's not aligned for you regardless of the outcome, regardless if they hire you or not. As a decision maker, when you're connected to your personal power, you decide what you want. Because as empaths, we lose our connection to choosing ourselves because a lot of us have been conditioned into being the caretaker or being in a phone response, people pleasing. And when we do that, we've lost connection to our personal power, which is all about solar plexus energy and trusting ourselves. So that's the key. Learning to trust yourself and learning to feel safe with being in your power and taking up space and communicating your own needs and what you truly want in the moment. It's interesting because sometimes I hear little clips
of our conversations. And I think if you took this out of context, then you could make some assumptions about what we're saying. And be like, are they trying to coach people to be super selfish and self-absorbed? But honestly, what I've found is that the type of people that are drawn to us are like us. And we're so sensitive. We're such empaths. We often struggle with having a diminished ego and what we actually need a lot of the time is shadow integration. We need to learn how to care less sometimes. We need to learn how to tune out, not to tune in more. We need to learn how to be more confident, to be more here in our bodies in this physical world. And so I want to emphasize that, that you know, if you hear what we're saying and you're like, oh, I struggle with that.
Yes, I feel that I do that. I lose myself. Your issue is not that you're going to become a self-absorbed narcissist that's grandiose walking around like the world revolves around you. Okay, don't worry about it. What you probably need is to develop a healthy ego so that you can get on with living a more purposeful life. And here is the beautiful thing about it. The more you are in your power, the more you are recognizing your talents, your gifts and your abilities, the more you are capable of stepping up to do what God, source created you to do. That is a contribution. That is you being of service and playing small is actually so selfish. It's so limiting. And so if you're ever worried that you're a bad person, if you look after yourself and own what you want,
just maybe start to question that again and remember that in a voice that's telling you that you can't do it, isn't love. It isn't light. The voice of love and light is encouraging and it wants you to shine and share that light with the world. So funny because it's such a people-pleaser thing to think like if I'm to take up space, I'm going to be a bad person. If I'm to express myself, then I'm going to offend other people. Yeah, you are going to offend other people. That's the point. It's to stand on business. It's to do what you want to do and to own your decisions. It's to allow yourself to creatively express yourself. You're not meant to fit in. You're not meant to dim your light. It's really, really boring to dim your light and play small. You get to a point in life where you are dumb of that and it takes you choosing to be the main character in your story so you can own the life
that you came here to live. You can't create what you deeply want if you're not owning your vision. You can't create what you want if you don't feel safe to claim it and to go after it and take action. You can't claim what you want if you don't feel safe to be authentic. You can't claim what you want if you don't have a healthy relationship to your personal power. It's not going to work. So if you have a fear of judgment or getting it wrong or being rejected or upsetting people or offending people, then you're going to have to get over that real quick. Because if you don't, then you're just going to keep limiting yourself and playing small. The cost of stepping into your personal power is being judged, being disliked by some people, being talked about. All of these things are going to happen when you choose to be the main character in your own story. That's the game. Are you willing to play? Mm hmm. I love this conversation because personally, what inspires me and unlocks more of my light,
my gifts, my strength, my confidence is when I hear people just saying it like it is, straight shooting, being direct about both the ups and the downs of taking up space. And like you're saying, you will be the villain in some people's story. You will be misunderstood. You will be considered extreme. You will be considered annoying to intense, full on by some people. What you make that mean though is up to you. You can get offended. You can go, oh, I'm wrong. They're right. Oh, I shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't be myself and internalize it all and allow it to limit you. Or you can question that. Allow people to have their opinions. We don't even need to make them wrong. Like, can we go a level above that and go, yeah, you're entitled to your opinion. I get that you feel that way and it doesn't mean I'm going to change. Yeah, how about your opinion is meaningless to me?
Mm hmm. It holds no weight at all. It's irrelevant because I don't want your life. I don't want to be you. I want to be me. I want to live my life. So your story about me, your opinion about me is based on your programming. It's based on your conditioning, your beliefs and your own value system. Not mine. So what you have to say about me is none of my business. My business is to live an alignment with my heart and my soul. And there are different phases of this that we're inevitably going to go through in different dynamics. I think this sometimes is a time and a place for a bit of a healthy fire response where we're like, actually, no, I don't care. Block, goodbye, irrelevant. And then there are also times where we're like, I don't care. Like neutral. Whatever, it's all good. I'm not offended. I don't make that about me. I'm not making it about you. We're co-existing and it's all good. You're 100%.
I think a lot of people fall into being a follower and not a leader. And when you're not leading yourself to create the life that you want and you're listening to other people's opinions and what other people have to say, that's the fastest way to kill your own vision in your dream. By taking on opinions, by people who are not qualified, they're not the people that you should be asking for advice or that you should be looking to listen to. That's not a wise decision. A wise decision is to trust yourself, to trust your vision, to know that you are capable of creating anything that you want to, and to start to tune into your intuition daily, so you can receive feedback from your soul around what you need to be doing next, around what you need to be focusing on and taking action on. And when you do that, then life starts to move in a very different way because you're stepping into being a creator rather than a follower, right? Rather than just waiting for life to happen, you're starting to take up space and own what you want,
and now you're co-creating it. And a lot of people aren't doing that. They're sitting on the sidelines, they're waiting, they're holding back, they're procrastinating, they're not really going after what they want because they're allowing the voice of fear to lead them. But that creates a life that you don't want. So it's really important to step into self-leadership. It's so true. This week I was really contemplating our journey over the last decade plus of doing such deep inner work. And I got really emotional. I was thinking how much courage it actually takes. To claim who you want to be. And then shed all of the beliefs and the stories and the layers of conditioning that tell you that you're not good enough to be that. And you've got to fight sometimes, you know, you've got to fight for that vision. You've got to fight to claim that you are that version of you that you can sense.
You're on that timeline. You're actively creating it. It takes courage to own what you actually want and then go all in on creating it. There's been so many moments. More than I can count where I've been like, who am I to do this? I'm not good enough. I'm not worthy. I don't have the skills, the knowledge, the looks, the capabilities, the luck, the blessings, the context, whatever. You know, there's so many different things that we could identify as evidence of why we aren't worthy or good enough. And to fight for the possibility that maybe you actually are and maybe God, source the universe believes that you are too and is just waiting for you to activate and claim it. That is a journey. And so for everyone listening, I just want to remind you that if you are contemplating what you want for your life and you're daring to put in the reps to create it.
You're already half way there. Like that is bold to even entertain that you could have more. And now the work begins, right? Like you've got to show up. It's not easy. It requires you to become obsessed and relentless about claiming it and affirming it again and again and again and again and again. But the alternative is to remain a follower. The alternative is to live a life of regret. So what do you choose? I say we get bold and we have the audacity to be weird and to be too much for some people and to be full on and strange and unrelatable to some people so that we can activate our true potential and make a unique mark on this planet. No matter how big it is, if we go all the way in on trusting our intuition
and taking aligned action on what we're feeling, we want to do, we're going to be an alignment and on the wild adventure that this higher intelligence intended for us all along. Yeah, the truth is what you desire, desire is you. But only when you feel worthy to receive it and so many of us have worthiness blocks around receiving more, receiving more attention, receiving more praise, receiving more love, receiving more abundance, receiving more money. A lot of us shy away from wanting more. It sounds good, but when it actually comes down to it, we allow fear to stop us. But we all know the timeline that that creates because we've lived it. And now there's an opportunity to choose a new timeline. If you want it, but it will require you to take out space, it will require you to own your gifts,
to own your voice, your truth, and start expressing yourself unapologetically. It will require you to go after what you want and choose to create the timeline that feels most aligned with your soul. This is a choice. Recognize that not everyone on the planet is gonna make this choice. A lot of people are not. But the question becomes, are you? Are you gonna create the life that your soul came here to create? Or are you gonna be like the others who get to the end of their life and have regret? What do you want? We all have choice. It's not an easy choice to cultivate courage and go after what you want, but the alternative is to play so small and hold back and to live a life that doesn't feel fulfilling. And I know what I'm choosing. Like I'm not here to hold back. It just doesn't resonate with my soul.
And every time I play small and I find myself operating in the comfort zone, which happens all the time for me, I have to wake myself up and remind myself of my capabilities, my connection to spirit, and what I'm here to actually do. Yeah, 100% I feel the same. I have to remind myself every day of the choice that I have. And really I want this to land for everyone listening. It is a daily choice. We describe it as your focus timeline or your unfocused timeline. What are you choosing? Every single day, you're either locking in on who you want to be and you're creating your aligned future or you're on the unfocused timeline and you're dilly-dallying and you're playing small and you're holding back? And some of us are going to be towing and frowing a lot. Some of us are straight up living on the unfocused timeline. And some of us have the audacity to go all the way and on the focused timeline. Now, it's your free will to choose.
It's really important that you clock that there are people that buy their own free will are simply choosing something we're all capable of doing. To live the life that they want. And if you are holding yourself back from that, understand it's you doing that. It's you dimming. It's you playing small. It's you holding back. It's you waiting. A question that I think is important for all of us to ask ourselves is why not me? You know, we can go, oh yeah, I'm not meant for that. I'm not capable of that. Well, why not you? Someone else is doing it. Why not you? And whatever excuses you have about why it's not for you get to work on it because your life is so valuable and every single day that you are not in alignment,
that day is going in a way down the drain, right? You're losing out on the opportunity to create. Yeah, the excuses, the limiting stories, the fears, the old disempowering beliefs, they're all your responsibility to get to work on. And this is why we have practices like our classes in the Awakened app because every day we have the opportunity to choose that radio station that is our thoughts, the stories that we're telling ourselves and you're either in that wounded FM telling yourself what's wrong, what isn't working, or you're in wisdom FM where you're tapped in to your intuition and you're wise self and you're allowing that to guide your choices. And I'll tell you that that wisdom FM stream of consciousness wants to guide you to your highest potential if you are willing to let it. And on a practical level, that's why we're so passionate about having a daily practice of breathwork,
and meditation, and journaling and connecting with our intuition because when we're tapped into wisdom FM and we're leading our life from that place, then everything is flowing in alignment and it feels amazing and you feel really empowered. But on the flip side, when you're leading from wounded FM, then you don't feel capable or empowered to create what you want. So we have a daily practice of sitting with ourselves every single day, connecting with our intuition and ultimately connecting with our soul and bringing through guidance. And every single person can do this if you choose. It takes practice, it takes dedication, it takes time. But when you choose to live your life from a soul-led place, then things start moving in a very different way. So if you don't have a daily practice, that supports you to connect your intuition, aka your soul, then highly recommend starting today. Highly recommend. We're coming toward the completion of this episode.
And I've got something really important that I want to remind everyone listening of. And that is if there is something that you have been judging or rejecting about yourself, that is actually a strength, it's time to integrate that shadow and practice loving that part of yourself. So for example, if you've been judging yourself for being too deep, what about practicing celebrating how deep you are? If you have been judging yourself for being too intellectual or into studying and reading, what about celebrating and being proud of that? If you've been feeling like you're too into your career, what about allowing yourself to recognize that that's the very thing that's going to make you successful? Whatever it is that deep down you know is a strength that you've been dimming and making small, you have the opportunity to flip it
and practice seeing it for the strength that it actually is and recognizing that other people's reactions or triggers have nothing to do with whether or not you should keep going. Yeah, turn up the volume on that, Gifton, for all my empaths out there who have been really holding back and playing small and who are too concerned with other people and what they think and what they feel in their opinions. How about practicing choosing yourself, choosing what you want and even making other people feel uncomfortable? It's okay, you're not responsible for how other people feel but you are responsible for choosing you and what you want. You don't need to coddle people and a lot of the assumptions that you make about what people are thinking about you or what they can or can't handle are made up. They're in your imagination, false evidence appearing real, that is fear and so instead what about choosing love, celebration and owning your power?
Yeah, we want to say a massive thank you to every single person tuning in. We really appreciate you leaving a comment.
