Stolen Dogs Found, Thief Sought

It happened just after 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10. The thief sped off from the scene, then dumped the dogs in Alexander Park before abandoning the van nearby. Most of the pets were located quickly in the area. One dog stayed missing for days, sparking a major search with help from local community support officers, a retired neighborhood officer, and volunteers from Huddersfield canine search and rescue. By Friday, that last dog turned up safe in some overgrown brush. Officials called the whole ordeal heartbreaking for the owners, but praised the teamwork that brought every animal home.
