Steve Correll opened up at the New York City premiere of his new series, Rooster, about his early doubts on the title of Crazy, Stupid Love. He revealed the script started as an untitled project from writer Dan Fogelman and settling on a name took a lot of back and forth among the team. Everyone pitched ideas, but nothing stuck until Warner Bros. stepped in and picked Crazy, Stupid, Love. Correll admitted he was not thrilled at first, just going along with it. He figured a strong story and great cast would win over audiences regardless of the name. Sure enough, fans embraced the film for its heartfelt tales in Sharp Humor. The movie hit theaters in July 2011, with Correll playing a divorce dad finding his spark again alongside stars like Ryan Gosling, Julianne, Moore, Emma Stone, and Kevin Bacon. It became a box office hit and a go-to romantic comedy. 15 years on, Correll has warmed up to the title.
