Steelers Release Jonnu Smith, Gain Cap Space

The decision frees up $7 million in salary cap space and Smith heads to unrestricted free agency. Smith joined Pittsburgh last off-season and a trade with the Miami Dolphins. He reunited with offensive coordinator Arthur Smith from the earlier days together, but never found his rhythm.
