0:00Early Tuesday morning, downtown Hamilton saw a nasty stabbing that sent a 26-year-old man to the hospital. Cops moved fast and charged a 28-year-old guy with aggravated assault and assaults with a weapon. It all popped off around 3.30 a.m., near King Street and Victoria Avenue, North. Police got word of an injury and a suspect hanging around the scene. When officers rolled up, they found the victim with a stab wound to his torso. They rushed him to the hospital. His injuries are serious but not life-threatening. Just minutes later, they tracked down and arrested the suspect without much hassle. No word yet on what sparked the fight. Investigators are still digging and want anyone with details to call them or hit a crime stoppers anonymously. Keep your eyes open out there. That's your update from Canada News Today, powered by AI.
