Me and chain was sitting behind the basket, eating. And chain was eating that I was over the heatson. I'm sure glad you here, because I get to eat a little bit in peace. But you know, we, you know, and I talked to the fans a little bit differently because I'm older. I didn't got tired of it. I ain't got that yet. That man. That's right. Hey, y'all listen, first of all, chain, congratulations on your new memoir. And it's a title of the voice in my head is God.

5:06Now, y'all listen to me, Steve Harvey Nation. It will be released tomorrow. So, chains, I'm asking you this, man. What inspired you to write the book at this point in your career? I think the inspiration behind writing the book was the timing. The inspiration is, is this type of book comes when you, when you live through enough experiences when you, you know, it comes when you, when you, when you, I think, occur some wisdom. And it's something that I would like to do for my community. I feel like this is almost a community project. And that's a way where I can talk about the voice that I really been hearing in my head and, and how I can really try to articulate that blessings coming from within. And this coming from someone like me, who's transparent, who's a family man who tries to balance so many things,

6:08which I'm sure you, and relate to Mr. Harvey. The book just, it kind of spoke to them. And I, I felt like this was the best time I put out many, and I put out music. I've worked on a short film. But I thought this book was something that I could do to get back to my community home, helping people try to quieter down the outside noise. And to tap into the higher calling, the higher meaning. And so coming from someone like me, I'm sure, won't sound preachy because it has the name God in it. Wow. Amen, let me ask you something because, because of that right there, because it's coming from a person like yourself. Do you think, when the book comes out, that is going to be a little surprising from some people to hear from you like this? Yeah, because I think when you have a title like God, people may automatically think about religion. It's sometimes that the time people own, and they can obviously turn people off.

7:08But I think this book is more about awareness. It's about recognizing a divine God that we all have. And every day life doing business, heartbreak, you know, any kind of relationship. So this is what I, you know, I would like to get my one across with this book. I do feel like it came from a serious place. I'm someone that's had God in my life since I was very young. And you know, it's just my story. It's my story. It's not, it's opinion based. I can tell you that, but it's my story. And I feel like the reason I want to call this something for community because it's almost like I almost felt like this was the secret that I was all known to because it's connected to my consciousness. And it has helped me to get where I am right now, which is I feel like being a successful black man. One, four, you know, it's time to do it. Amen. That's this is really good, man, cause I wasn't really expecting to hear from you like this, which is, which is like really cool

8:10for me, you know, or when you've been in the spotlight as long as you have was the ever moment in your life when you felt like you had lost your connection to God or his voice was silent in your head. You ever went through that period? That's it. I think the voice never disappears. First of all, I know me and I have a chapter called Women of Superheroes. So I feel like women tap into their intuition much earlier than men do. Now the book is about intuition and the intuitive process. And so when I talk about the voice and me recognizing it, I think it was probably tallest before I start having it to this voice before I start feeling like it was something that I could hear clearly. Now when it gets quiet, I feel like your ego becomes loud. We have to find that balance, you know what I'm saying? And then you can get to certain point too where a fear can make decisions for you. So I'm just trying to talk people off the ledge

I watched this kind of supportive of his kids and so when I found out he had this book, I wanted to have him on the show so I could help put it out there. So he's our special guest this morning. Now, change, when you write a book like this, this is where I am asking it because when a person picks up a copy of this, what do you want the takeaway to be? Because you know, this is coming from you. So a lot of your fans will buy the book out of pure interest to see why. I ain't no change, was like that. What's the takeaway from this book? When person buy the book, what you want them to have as a takeaway? Well, the takeaway I think would be that the book shows

11:13that it shows another side of two chains. Obviously, I feel like I'm very confident. I appreciate that I'm not installing to my kids. I know people probably see the self-made or without the struggle. So the book shows or discusses some of the overthinking, some of the silent battles, some of the moments that we consider quitting but knew that wasn't the right thing to do. And so I think people can get, you know, I think people can actually learn from this and that's what I want to do. Like I told myself when I did this book that if I had taken one person and I would be doing my job, well, I had a business partner that got a early copy of this book and he said that he's taking about changing his life through to my book. I feel like I've already completed or checked off something on my checklist before we even released it because somebody got an early copy and read it. So my take on this is just being very comfortable

12:16in my skin to talk about things that make people uncomfortable but also talk about the divine guidance. You know, I mean, the things that warn me when something that warn me when something isn't alive, that's the most important thing. When it doesn't feel right, I don't go. I don't show or I leave or you know, I'm saying that it's about that something told me if anybody is listening, has ever said, man, something told me to come up in. Look, I didn't know you was going to be a something told me not to go in there and you look up and it was a good reason. This book is more or less about that kind of stuff, you know? It's an intermonologue. It's like knowing that it's something deeper within you and we all have it. It's like something that just let's just turn it on. They hear us talking, something told me to listen to the radio this morning. I didn't know two changes don't be on ends, it's that. Yeah, something that's something that's small is that. I know it's funny. It's something that's small is that. They like, what is that?
