Spartans Survive Scare, Win on Senior Night

The Spartans pulled away in the second half, but nearly blew the win by subbing in reserve seniors for a traditional celebration. Rutgers heated up from beyond the arc and closed the gap fast. Coach Tom Iso had to yank his key starters back into Halt the Run, breaking a ritual he's kept for his whole time in East Lansing. It worked, but Iso owned the mistake right after, saying he messed up by not sticking to the plan. Fans and players felt the tension, but the home crowd stayed loud and helped seal it. Iso praised the seniors for their heart and loyalty, noting how rare it is these days to have guys stick around for years.
