Sooners Host NCAA Opener, Need Fan Support

As the fourth seed, they'll face 13th seed Idaho in a late tip-off at 9 p.m. central time on Friday night. This march the third time in five years under head coach Ginny Baronjick, that the sooners have earned this home advantage. Six squad reached the sweet 16 last year. Partly thanks to the home crowd energy during their regional games. The coach knows late starts aren't fan-friendly, but she's pushing for strong turnout to keep building that momentum. Fans have made a real difference in close wins and upsets this season. Baronjick stresses how their support creates an electric atmosphere that fuels the team's success on the court. Attendance has climbed steadily, jumping from just over 3,000 for a round of 32 game in 2022 to more than 8,000. Last year against Iowa. That growth shows the program's rising appeal.
