Sochan's New Chapter with Knicks

Jeremy Sochin is starting fresh with the New York Knicks after the San Antonio Spurs waved him and he signed as a free agent back in February. Draft at 9th overall, in the 2022 NBA Draft, the 23-year-old forward had a solid rookie season with double-digit scoring and strong defense. But things changed as the Spurs built around Victor Wimba Nyama. Earlier this season, Sochin's playing time dropped sharply due to injuries, experiments at point guard, and a new team rotation. The Spurs let him explore trays before the deadline, but no deals worked out so they parted ways amicably to give him a shot elsewhere before the year ended. Spurs coach Mitch Johnson and teammates like to Aaron Fox and Stefan Castle spoke highly of him, calling him a great vet with positive energy even on the bench. They wished him well and hoped he'd find his joy back on the court.
