Small Steps To Making Big Moves: Write It Down

And today, my focus is on something very, very simple, but very practical and powerful. Write it down. One of the things you need to understand is that clarity reduces overworld. When thoughts remain in your head, they can multiply and confuse you, but when they're written down, they become more manageable.

1:03Everywhere I look in scripture, I see God highlighting the importance of writing things down. The scripture we just read, write it down so it can be read on the one. 2:07learn to fear the world. Now someone is asking me, why do I need to write them down? I can remember them, let me tell you something, writing prevents forgetting God's work and it acts as a permanent reminder. When you write things down, you remember, it's often said that the shortest pencil is still better than the longest memory. When you write things down, you don't forget. And when you do, you can quickly go back and look at it. It also inspires action, writing the vision plainly enables people to read it and to run with it. It's also for future accountability. When you record events, it's easy for you to remember, promises, commands, I always draw now. Things that God has said to me before, I remember them because I write them down.

3:11Writing brings order. Writing will slow down the chaos. It allows vision to be more visible. So when you write things down, your mind suddenly becomes clear, your focus improves, your progress becomes measurable simply by taking the step to grab a pencil and a paper or to bring other notepad on your phone. Because something truly encouraging happens when you complete a task and check it off. I find that so many times people are a bit overwhelmed. At the end of the day, you hear them say things like, I didn't achieve anything today. And I simply say this. At the beginning of your day, write down a list of the things that you want to do. And as you complete its task, check it off. You will be surprised that at the end of the day, not only have you been able to have accomplished everything on your list, but most times, you even do things you did not

4:14write. Now, if you do not write it down, how do you know what you were able to accomplish in the day? Your mind will simply focus on the things it can and should do, not on the things that it has already done. So sometimes we are not quick to remember the things we have done. So what do you do write it down? Simply. Nehemiah was sent to rebuild the Jerry Selems walls, but before construction began, he wrote it down. He had a very clever pan. He studied the damage, he organized the work, he had signed sections. It was easy for him to work because everything was written down. Vision without structure produces frustration. So writing things down will help to move you from dreaming to actually doing. You know, sometimes I wonder how questions today would remember things that God had said

5:17in the times of Moses, if Moses did not write it down, Moses wrote everything down. Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Titronomy, he sat down, made sure that everything was documented. I don't know what the assignment is, but simply write it down. I was supposed to wrote letters. Those are the things that have become reference points for us today. He wrote them down. Apostle John, a loan on the island in Patmos, sat down, had revelations about the Lord Jesus Christ, and he wrote them down, wrote letters to the seven churches, wrote letters, describing where the state of their hearts were at the time, and telling them what to be aware of. You would be shocked by how things can go wrong when it's passed from mouth to mouth.

6:20I don't know if as a child you remember playing that game. I can't quite remember the name right now because off the top of my head, but something whisper. Honestly, I can't remember right now, but you know when you say a word to someone in their air, you literally whisper it in their air, a sentence or something, and the person has to whisper to the next person, the person has to whisper to the next person before you know it. That thing that you said to them, when the final person down the line says it back to you, you will not believe that it's the same thing that you said to them. Things can be lost in translation. Things can be lost when passed down. So write it down, write it down, write it down, so this is what we're going to do today. Write down your top priorities for today.

7:20Break them down into small steps, then focus on one small step at a time. If you have to declutter your house, then write it down room by room, write down what needs to be done. If you need to clean your house, write down room by room what needs to be done. If you need to plan your day, or you have a party to plan, or you have an event, simply write it down, break it down into small, actionable steps, and then focus on one step at a time. That small clarity I promise would lead to big momentum. You will get up and immediately know what to do. You will not need to struggle, you will not need to be confused.

8:21In fact, because you have broken it down into steps, you will know who to reach if you need extra help. But I pray for you today that the Lord will give you clarity of mind, that the Lord will help you to organize what you have placed in your heart, and the Lord will teach you to do what the vision will, and to move forward step by step. One small step at a time, in the name of Jesus, amen, please make sure you do what I said. Write down your top priorities, break them into small steps, and then focus on one small step at a time.
