Several former NFL stars, including Junior Ciau, Aaron Hernandez, Mike Webster, and Kenny Stabler, suffered from it before dying by suicide. Jim McMahon, the former Chicago Bears quarterback, battles CTE today and is pursuing treatments to ease its effects.
