Sister's Murder Conviction

0:00On April 29th, a 70-year-old woman named Nancy Pexton just got convicted of murdering her 69-year-old sister Jennifer Abbott in a North. Munden Flat. Pexton stabbed Abbott multiple times, including a deep slash across her neck, then swiped her diamond and crusted gold Rolex watch before bolting. This all went down on June 10th last year in Camden, and the old Bailey jury nailed the verdict on Wednesday. Abbott, a film director and US citizen, was last spotted on her doorbell cam at 7.36am walking her corgi. Pexton showed up around noon, did the deed, and left the body to decompose for three days with gaffer tape over her mouth. A worried neighbor finally busted in the door on June 13th, after no dog barks and family please. Family tensions ran deep here, with resentment bubbling between the sisters for years. Abbott's son even testified to the anger and hostility. Back in November of last year, Pexton had texted Abbott straight up saying she planned to kill her, though she later called it just venting, and claimed she loved her sis.

1:04After the attack, Pexton called her doctor claiming an overdose, landed in the hospital, and got arrested on June 18th. She denied everything, skipped testifying in person, and joined the trial by video from prison. Sentencing set for Friday, so we'll see what judge Anuja Deere hands down next.
