Shy Tuttle Extends Contract with Washington Commanders

Though full terms weren't shared, the 6-foot-3, 300-pound lineman heads into his 8th NFL season after starting his pro career with the New Orleans Saints back in 2019. Tuttle has bounced around a bit, playing for the Carolina Panthers from 2023 to 2024, then the Tennessee Titans last year. Before landing with Washington on waivers, he wrapped up the season with the commanders, suiting up in the final two weeks. Over 107 career games and 66 starts, he's posted 247 tackles, four and a half sacks, and a handful of passes. Defenseed along with force fumbles, his steady play has made him a reliable interior presence that teams value. In 2024 with Carolina, Tuttle started 15 games and notched 46 tackles plus some key disruptions. The year before that, he hit a career high 49 tackles across 17 games,
