Shooting Chase Ends in Crash, Injuries Reported

0:00A rolling shooting over the weekend started on a residential street in Overland Park and ended with a fiery crash in a prairie village park. It all began when victims said they were followed from Kansas City. Police say two women in the vehicle ended up with non-life threatening injuries after the chase. The driver had just picked up a female passenger in Kansas City when they spotted a red or maroon 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a Kansas license plate 9103ACY. Telling them to shake the pursuer, the driver turned on to Roa Avenue with a Jeep caught up fast. Someone in the Jeep then fired multiple rounds at the victim's car, in spots along 99th and Ro, 91st and Ro, and near Franklin Park. The passenger took a gunshot wound and the driver had other injuries from the crash. Both got hospital care right away. As of Wednesday afternoon, no arrests have happened. Overland Park police are urging nearby residents to check their yards for shell casings, surveillance video, or any damage and reported.
