The Shock-To-Lick Wolverine's Boys Basketball team captured their second straight Alaska State 1, a championship on Saturday at the Alaska Airlines. Sinner. They dominated Minto from tip-off to buzzer, winning 60-46 and capping it with a slam dunk in the final minute. Coach Silas Panipchuk credits the victory to the team's endless energy and passion for the sport. They surged ahead 18-10 after the first quarter and stretched the lead to double digits by halftime, letting their natural instincts take over. Standout performances came from Chase Katchatoge with a game-high 24 points and Seth Panipchuk with 21 points plus strong defense. Austin rocked at a 10 for Shock-To-Lick while Minto's Jonathan David scored 11. Minto kept battling back to narrow the gap at times, but Shock-To-Lick held firm with a 40-28 edge entering the fourth quarter.
