Seth Lakeman's Freedom Fields Anniversary Tour

0:00On March 2nd, Seth Lakeman is kicking off a major UK tour to mark 20 years since his classic album Freedom Field dropped in 2006. He'll hit the town hall in Birmingham on May 14th with a full band playing the entire album plus fan favorites over two sets each night. The celebration includes two big tours, one in May and another in October of 2026, giving fans plenty of chances to catch the show. Lakeman first broke through with a Mercury Prize nomination for his 2005 album, Kitty J, building a strong cult following in folk, circles. Freedom Fields became his gold-selling breakthrough, landing him BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards for artist and album of the year in 2007. While drawing in a wider indie folk crowd, his latest release, The Granite Way, came out in February 2025 on his own label, teaming up with longtime collaborators to revisit those.
