Morning, Sam. Morning, Ann. Morning, Ricardo. People everywhere. Morning, Hymnish, Morning God. Hey, everyone is well. It is September the 10th from Open Doors within us. Next time you are faced with a job which does not appeal to you, take time before you even start it to change your complete outlook towards it. See yourself doing it for me and if your love for me is what it should be, you will find a real joy and delight in doing whatever it is perfectly. What is more, you will find you have plenty of time to do everything that has to be done. Never waste time convincing yourself that you do not have the time and have far too busy. Simply go ahead and do what has to be done. Let let your life run smoothly and peacefully without any sense of rush. When you

start the day of right with a heart full of love and gratitude and with a feeling of expectancy that it will be a wonderful day with everything falling perfectly into place, you will draw it all to you. That's a positive start to the week isn't it? I love that. I've said it before. I went on experience week at Finntown where I named Cady and there's a co-founder of the Finntown Foundation, the spiritual programme and whenever we did service we used to get into a huddle and just say you know I was in the kitchen so I said I'm going to do this work imagining the people eating my feed and being grateful for it and the people that were cleaning the accommodation they were saying what it's like when you walk into a clean bathroom or a clean get into clean bed how

grateful they're gonna you know and it's all about doing service and it really made our work go really well and the people that work at In the Gardening you know it was a bit of tough work but they said imagine when they taste the fruit of your labour how they're gonna feel and it just put you in the right you know the moment when you were doing sales calls when your sales bloke left you turned it around to service isn't it? I can be a part of these people. Rather than thinking I'm running up calling harassing people it's like they've got a big problem I can help with that so we're just going to see if they need any help and if you don't want help then. Then you don't feel rejected. Yeah I've got a

certainly but you've had a nice polite conversation it does make a difference doesn't it if you're attitude I mean we've got that I don't mean our promises we'll find that our whole attitude and outlook upon our future how can I be of service? Yeah so yeah good good positive start to the week and about time you know we can fit in everything that we need to you know. It's the one thing at a time isn't it? Yeah. Fast things, fast people, simple girl and the procrastination is actually what holds us up you know the fear and we can give our fears over you know and I step free. So we're lucky we're lucky sometimes we're a prank to North here you know it's it's honest isn't it? Because we're human but we have awareness

now we've got tools to deal with that. Seven, six, six. Many of us have asked how can we accept the entire implication of step six why that is perfection? This sounds like a hard question but practically speaking it isn't only step one where we made the hundred percent admission we were powerless over alcohol can be practiced with absolute perfection. The remaining eleven steps state perfect ideals there are goals towards which we look and the measuring sticks by which we estimate our progress. Seen in this light step six is still difficult but not at all impossible. The allergent thing is that we make a beginning and keep trying. If we would gain any real advantage in the use of this step on problems other than alcohol we shall need to make a brand new venture into open mindedness.

We shall need to raise our eyes toward perfection and be ready to walk in that direction. It will seldom matter how halting way we walk the only question will be are we ready. Looking again at these defects that those defects were still unwilling to give up. We ought to raise the hard and fast lines that we have drawn perhaps we shall be obliged in some cases still to say this I cannot give up yet but we should not say to ourselves this I will never give up. Let's dispose of what appears to be a hazardous open end we have left that is suggested that we ought to become entirely willing to aim toward perfection. We note that some delay however might be pardoned. That word in the mind of a rationalizing alcoholic could certainly be given a long term meaning he could say how very easy sure I had toward perfection. I'm selling I'm going to hurry any maybe I can postpone dealing with some of my problems indefinitely.

Of course this won't do such a bluffing of oneself will have to go the way of many other pleasant irrationalization at the very least we shall have to come to grips with some of our worst character defects and take action toward the removal as quickly as we can. The moment we say no never our minds close against the grace of God delayed is dangerous and rebellion may be fatal. This is the exact point at which we abandon limited objectives and move towards God's will for us. Yeah that's where we get the only step you have to get 100% is step one from and you know if you can't admit to your own myself it's it's a struggle isn't it to carry on. But for this one it said you know even if we recognize that some

I'm really difficult to give up we're now getting the awareness of them I really clung on to my resentments like I guarded them and nurtured them and fed them and they grew and grew and that was hard for us to give those up because it was all I was used to but I realized that they made me feel awful and I replayed things over and over in my head so I realized you know when I did my step five I most of them disappeared and then the ones that didn't I had work to do and sometimes that that takes outside work outside of A and some I'm not really happy but I managed to be more aware of when I get them and how to

release them. Sometimes I come back there. Well willingness seems to be the key to this doesn't it? You know it says at the start there's chapter on any person capable of enough willingness and honesty to try repeatedly step six on all his falls without any reservations whatever has indeed come along spiritually. Yeah we're winning. And is there for untouched to be called a man who is sincerely trying to grow in the image and lightness of his own creator? So you're just trying to put everything back into its rightful place and for me you know hearing a really good share and you know she learned how to set boundaries you know same as me because if you don't set the boundaries then you're going to pick up a resentment when you're people please you just learn all sorts of stuff about yourself

that you're an ordinary sick pilot before and a big big big one is you know to listen to that in a Christian in your head stop being so loud on yourself. Yeah because we felt so bad about ourselves you know I said I was useless I was stupid you know and I believed it so the people have told me and that's taken a while to be aware of what my inner critics say to me and try and overrind it I'm doing the best I can I'm okay I'm not hurting anyone I'm not deliberately harming anyone you're okay you're good person and that takes time. Yeah how do you set a boundary then to get rid of a character defect? Well because I resentment is my big character defects so if someone said to me

right and you need you need to come here and do this for me today and I would have said oh yes yes I guess I'll come and do that for you yes people pleasing can't say no so now I'd say I'd love to help out but actually I've got a full day myself and I can't come but I could probably come at the weekend so then I've got a resentment so if I went to the house and did all the work for them I'll pick up a resentment and then I'll be likely to do it so by setting that boundary and valuing myself and do you set boundaries in relation to being a disciplined yeah but I'm also you know quite gentle on myself if I've missed a year good routine for an illness or you know something it is illness because I get a

bit flexible I get up earlier if I'm busy because I make certain things non-negotiable my yoga and some a non-nebronchable boundaries yeah yeah a negotiable boundary so some boundaries in non-negotiable I can't I can't negotiate some boundaries in a bit more flexible yeah and it just stops me picking up resentments then because that was my default setting was I would call it the fault response so I'm very aware of that now and I'll try and I'll try to just be a normal person extra order a person yeah one that's following the path and I'm alright I'm okay you're okay we're okay now thanks thanks oh thanks
