Serial Rapist Andrew Davies Dies in Prison

0:00On March 19th, Andrew Davies, the 69-year-old serial rapist who terrorized women across northern England in the 1980s, has died in, prison from natural causes. He was serving 13 life sentences for attacking more than a dozen victims, mostly in their own homes and greater Manchester in nearby counties. Released on parole in March 2023, after 34 years behind bars, Davies lasted just six weeks in a probation hostel before his. Behavior led to an immediate recall. Officials deemed the risk he posed too high for the community. Victims and their families felt a mix of relief and lingering pain over his death. One survivor shared that while is somewhat comforting, the memories of the attacks still haunt her daily life. Campaigners and a local MP had fought hard to keep him locked up. In June 2024, Davies appealed his recall, but the parole board rejected it in July, citing his very high risk of committing serious, sexual offenses. He remained at H&P Moreland near Donkaster until his passing on February 28th, 2026.
