Multiple agencies kicked off a major search Sunday night for divers gone missing in Lake Jackson, right by city pier beach in Sebring, Florida. It all started around 8.50 p.m. when reports came in of folks unaccounted for in the water. Sebring police and fire crews jumped in first, teaming up with Highlands County Sheriff's Office, Florida Fish and Wildlife, emergency management and even Polk County deputies. By late evening the operation was in full swing with boats cutting through the lake and drone scanning from above. Officials kept the effort going strong past midnight, covering the east side between the Sebring Elks Lodge and the pier. They're urging everyone to steer clear of the area so first responders can work without interference and no flying personal drones nearby. If you were swimming or diving there after 7 p.m. and made it out safe, hit up the non-emergesing line at 8.63 40272, 0-0 right away. Still updates yet on the divers whereabouts, but the search and investigation are still

rolling as teams push through the night. We'll keep eyes on this as more details drop from Lake Jackson. From your city, powered by AI, this is Tampa Bay News Today.
