i was a little sad but i heard you're missing out on a song ready back in

you know that is good despite the score last time

yeah i know but you know what's and i know nobody wants to talk this way

here this i mean it was it was a good game played well enough to win

unfortunately it just didn't go that way

but when you watch this team and how they have played as of late

it's fun right i mean of seeing just how competitive these guys are

well you win five out of six yes yeah right um... and they said the games have

been

fun and you know who's scoring how they're scoring

contributions you know up and down the line up

both usually are playing just incredibly well it's uh...

it has been fun really fun

you knew

when you guys signed him steven stamcoes was already gonna go to the hockey

hall of fame you saw him early in his career

and tampa but to see what that guy has done

having uh...

terrible is he would probably put it start in october november

to then almost be at forty goals on march twenty-seventh is absolute

remarkable

it really is you know i i just i hope you get to forty not more i think bill

is going to flirt with it if not get there and it's fun to see whenever you

know two scores you know i mean high numbers

it's fun watching live each other in a really good healthy way

and after one of the scores i like the reaction of the other guy

you know the bench so it's in the team is having fun and you see that i think

i hope you do

yeah i i i definitely thank you do uh... i'll give joe the honors of tomorrow

mike fisher and carry underwood bubblehead night because uh... i know he has

uh... an affinity for mike fisher

well he should

uh... and really don't mean so much of the organization i mean carry

has performed so well i'm guessing probably eight nine shows here

and then it's supposed to see amazing are building

there is contributions on the ice and in the community

hers in the building and the community

uh... really make them a pretty important couple to our franchise did you

uh... you to arrive at the same time you came in twenty ten right

i came in the september twenty ten and i came in

uh... each and every November of twenty eleven so the same season

and he you know that i pulled us to our first ever

second-round appearance and then

i see our second second-round appearance into the Stanley Cup

and it is our captain then and then came back if you remember the miss season

of our president

you know i wasn't here with foursburg you know uh... allowed uh... it seems to

trade him here

that was a pretty big day for the great players

you know in history game of course it was hurt when i got here

and play a lot in the playoffs

but i put back in the same way i mean he wanted

a trade here when it looked like i was going to

they were going to some type of rebuild

he asked for the trade here this where he wanted to be

and there is i hear twice i mean it's it really

means a lot

with one of these marquee players is this where i want to be

comes here

helps the team of all but so many friends in the community what we're doing for

players health

obviously on the ice

and then we science here twice and has been such a strong alumni member

you know revolve around you hockey

what we do you know from a foundation standpoint

and from when you see him in the building

and just like everyone up he really does we had a

celebration of life for sure crisp last week or two weeks ago

and no surprise michael the first people there

uh... he's such a good did you know what i was in a game recently in the crowd

and there's two people there they were from bowling green it came down there

watching the game

first ended into preds game in years and you guys did the

live shot from the hospital with the young kid that was going battling cancer

and to see their motion shot in the crowd and to see that they're like i had no

idea they did this

it was it with far beyond just like them seeing that like they were

interested about

getting involved in all that it was at the goal for all this to bring awareness

the foundation

and to make these young men and women who are battling their you know this

their lives every day to just let people know how much people love them

yeah i know there are just four individual callouts to our game

the military four military hero of the night

we have our uh... our teacher of the night we recognize

we have a report of the night also we also you talk you play the night

and of course

but a spotlight on a childhood family that are going through a tough time

because if you take the energy of you know seventeen thousand people

and throw it on them it's always emotional means a lot for them it really does

so part of it is just taking our games energy and they can you know four or five

six different people feel really good each and every night

and then the other part is bringing a little bit of awareness to uh... everyone

can get that same type of recognition in their own way

and i was really a myfisher thing of if we all do our own part every day

you know we talk about the passion of this fan base

i mean how how excited does it make you all when you see

people talking about the gm search and tweets about that and asking hey what's

the latest and and and showing how excited they are while also supporting

Barry and what he's doing with this team right now

i think it's what makes it so unique in the sports market

there's a reason our players won't play in here the reason why Barry wanted to

come back here because he and i absolutely love it my family does and why

you guys do you know our fans care about the team they care about the

people around the team they care about the future of the team

and that matters a lot of different ways sometimes in an angry email or

passionate texture tweet and sometimes just you know raw raw but you bring all

that together under one you know i was one meeting

everybody wants us to be bigger and better than we are today and that's a good

thing well and i know that

gm search i tried to be creative there

well you can ask me what's the latest with the gm search

it's ongoing and i'll talk about it when we know some

oh man that's great you burned in well i said i'm a plant

what friends do right well done on that one uh here's a here's a dumbest

question the day you're going to get asked are you got and i know that the

answer ready but you guys are already planning like

you're making the playoffs right i mean that's already given

well i'm hoping we're making the playoffs and i won't be surprised when we make

the playoffs um and we always plan for the playoffs as far as what are we

going to do next you're there right obviously there are a lot of things you've

got to plan literally months out like we bring in a lot of

use of education as her for duration for the building

we order that in December and you know it if you don't make the playoffs

well you pay for all that equipment anyway because it takes about two weeks

to get it installed but you got to get it in advance you know some of the

giveaways you know that will bring in for the the playoffs if we don't play that

many games that we plan for you know they you'll

forward on to next year to some degree summer you're dead in the

water honestly literally say playoffs right um and with the year on it

so yeah of course you do and uh i'm a pretty track record you know it's my

i guess 16 season and i guess we missed the playoffs four of those 16

years which makes it a lot of fun um and you know when you do miss them it

gives you opportunity to rebuild the team a little bit like the past

to miss playoffs did you know you know really good draft picks we cut to

all of our draft picks the past four seasons

which has allowed us to really start stockpom you know prospects at a really

high level i think we have 30 to 33 takes over the next three years

I think 16 or so on top 100 um i'm really excited about the future

and you know Adam to pick this up and and his segment coming out of it

that my guys the president they are they back for 15 years in a row with

what do we get it just stuck forever a Adam we're not going to

did it yeah i'm here for all that yes look this is the playoffs two out of three

years is a big setback the last time we did that

is you know when we traded away some of our you know fan favorites and veterans

and got players back like young croc and filth fore's bird and opened

the gates up for roman josey and ekki and in the stars that we all fell in love

with them in the teens into the 20s and i think

they're starting to see that emerge right now so look and i'm going joking

Adam i love your commentary well i was good i was going to throw this out

there because you know i'm joking you not listening i'm sure oh he i'm

sure he is i i i i'm sure you have heard

big joe's uh... support of berry trots that if you you know when you guys make

the playoffs that berry trots just needs to walk around bridge stone arena with a

shirt off basically pounding his chest of i i showed you yes um

berry has said i to me that i don't think anybody wants to

necessarily see that that was his response but maybe there's something fun we

could do with Adam when the predators make the playoffs

i know i'll have fun with it but you say you know berry trotters my office right

before this pump them up for this you know like okay we sure is uh a hype club

and neither one of us had a shirt on you were ready for the playoffs we're practicing

for you guys look i need i need him with like a big gold

preds chain yes walking around like i'm telling you what's up if he does this it'll be the

number one story forever with sports teams general manager of people got mad at

makes the playoffs and he's going to walk the entire concourse

the entire game not just one period the entire game

well i'll say a step further every year we meet the playoffs for the next 10-15

years he should do the same thing he does his first year stepping in the

rule working side by side with David you peeled back a lot of your pan pay

with some veterans to get some really good draft picks

and then you miss the playoffs that year the next year surprisingly we made

the playoffs earlier than we thought again we did trading the assets you know we kept

who we had um you know so we kept on our draft picks and actually we missed the playoffs

again trading a few players out the stock for a mile more what he did the draft deadline this year

you know i i knew it he was i know i really did i mean he kept dump pieces came away some pieces

so kind of protect us on either way but it was really not clearing the decks to let some of our

funny stars start getting some you know real playing time and meaningful slots where there should be

and i think the results keep for themselves so i really this does push us into the playoffs

if it doesn't it takes us as a franchise a step further to where we want to be
