Seahawks Sign Safety Rodney Thomas

0:00On March 16th, the Seattle Seahawks signed safety, Rodney Thomas II, from the Indianapolis Colt on Monday. This seventh round pick out of Yale from 2022, stands six foot one and weighs 196 pounds. The move brings valuable depth to Seattle's secondary right away. Thomas spent all four of his NFL seasons with Indianapolis. He started 25 games over his first two years and played in every regular season game each time. Over 68 games, he recorded six interceptions, 102 tackles, and 10 passes defended. In 2025, he logged 278 special team snaps, covering 61 percent of those plays. Seahawks general manager John Schneider, called Thomas Rangel, Intelligent, and Instinctive. Schneider said Thomas loves their defensive scheme and picks Seattle over other chances to compete in the safety group. Thomas was pulled in by the clear passion and team brotherhood he saw watching Seattle's defense. Now he's ready to contribute wherever needed and help chase more victories as training ramps up.
