Seahawks Lose Top Players, Commanders Gain Strength

The Seattle Seahawks, fresh off a Super Bowl win, have three of those top players expected to hit the market. Two of them, running back Kenneth Walker III who was Super Bowl MVP and wide receiver Rashid Shaheed, are projected to sign with the Washington Commanders. Graziano sees Walker landing a three-year deal worth $44 million with $22 million guaranteed. Shaheed would get three years for $40 million and $20 million guaranteed. Both moves would give the Commanders a boost around third-year quarterback, Jaden Daniels. The Commanders are looking to bounce back after reaching the NSC Championship in the 2024 season. Adding Walker and Shaheed could ease the pressure on Daniels by providing a strong run game and quick threats against Blitzes. Meanwhile, the Seahawks have about $60 million in salary cap space, ranking 6th in the league.

The front office also faces pressure to extend stars like wide receiver Jackson Smith and Jigba and cornerback Devon Witherspoon.
