Linebacker Boy Mephe has agreed to a three-year contract with the Cincinnati Bengals worth up to $60 million. The deal was reported first by Insiders on Monday, the opening day of the New League year. Mephe joined the Seahawks as a second-round draft pick in 2022. He broke out in 2023 with 9 SEX and starts in all 16 games he played. But his role shrank over the next two seasons under the new defensive scheme. In 2024, his starts dropped to 11 with 6 SEX. Then in 2025, across 20 games, including playoffs, he managed just 4 SEX and 2 SEX. Seattle saw him more as a rotational player than a starter. That made the roughly $20 million per year price tag too steep for the Seahawks. Mephe should thrive as a pass rusher on Cincinnati's struggling defense, fans wish him well
