Seahawks Cut Cam Akers, Add 8 Draft Picks

0:00On April 27th, Seahawks just cut running back Cam Acres on Monday to clear some roster space. They added eight new players in the draft, sitting at 82 guys right now, not counting those undrafted rookies signing up soon. That move keeps them under the 91 player limit. Thanks to an international exemption for their center, Federico Moranges, rookie minicam kicks off this week, so they're trimming the edges. Acres came over from the Rams last year as a former second round pick. He suited up for three regular season games and that big NFC championship win against his old squad. Now Seattle Rolls with six backs, returners Zach Scharbene, George Hollani, Kenny McIntosh, and Jakartier Wright, plus free agent Emanuel Wilson, and first round stud Jadarian Price. With minicamper around the corner, expect more tweaks as they build depth for the grind ahead.
