Scott Mills Fired from BBC Radio Two

0:00On April 18, Scott Mills, the 53-year-old DJ, just got sacked from BBC Radio, two over historical sexual offense claims dating back to 1997 through 2000 when he was in his mid-20s. Police questioned him under caution back in 2018, but the Crown Prosecution Service dropped the case a year later due to insufficient evidence. Despite that, the BBC moved fast this year after new details emerged about the alleged victim being between 13 and 16 years old. Folks at Radio 2 were floored. Jeremy Vine called it a mix of shock and grief, saying Mills was super popular around the station, nothing like Hugh. Edward, who Vine described as a bully to his bosses, Vine only learned about the firing 17 minutes before his own mid-day show when he spotted it on the BBC site, and newsroom staff let out gasps. Over losing such a big name, earlier this week, Mills was out walking his neighborhood with his husband of two years, rocking sunglasses and a baseball cap.
