Scorpion Operation Nabs 92, Seizes Weapons

0:00On March 13, police in the southwest of England arrested nearly 92 people and seized weapons during a week-long crackdown on illegal drugs, in child exploitation. The operation, called Scorbian, focused on gangs using young people to traffic drugs from big cities into rural areas through county lines networks. Multiple forces teamed up, including Devon and Cornwall, Avon and Somerset, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Police along with British. Police poor police and a regional crime unit. They conducted arrests, searched homes, stopped vehicles and even used drones to follow suspects. In Devon and Cornwall alone, officers made 17 arrests, grabbed 12,013 pounds in cash and took seven weapons like air rifles, a knuckle duster and a telescopic baton. They also safeguarded 17 vulnerable people, including three under 18, and checked 14 blue-coot addresses where criminals had taken, over homes. 1:08pounds, and 29 weapons total while protecting 52 individuals from harm. Leaders say this is just the start, with plans to keep disrupting suppliers and addressing root causes like addiction. They urge watching for signs and kids, such as going missing, having unexplained cash or phones or hanging with older folks to stop exploitation, early and keep community safe.
