He projects them grabbing Ohio State Safety, Caleb Downs, at pick 12 overall, then Miami Edge R Usher, Akeem Messador, at pick 20. Schreger got the scoop straight from Buckeye's defensive coordinator Matt Patricia, who called Downs the smartest player any team could draft. A legit face of the franchise type. That fits perfect for Dallas, pairing him with Jalen Thompson and Malik Hooker to shut down those long bombs that killed them last year. Fans and analysts are hyped because Downs ranks as one of the drafts elite talents, and landing him that late would be highway robbery.
