SC Gamecocks Face Major Roster Shakeup

In the SEC before an early exit against Oklahoma, now the focus shifts to a major roster shake-up as three rotation players plan to hit the transfer portal. Junior Ford, Elijah Strong, led the way, announcing his departure after averaging 10 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. He started 18 contests this year, bringing experience from two seasons at Boston College before joining the Gamecocks. Freshman Guard Eli Ellis follows suit after one standout season, posting 8.6 points and 2.8 rebounds. A top recruit ranked number 69 nationally, he heads out with three years of eligibility left. Jordan Butler, another junior Ford, rounds out the exits with appearances in 25 games and four starts, averaging 2.8 points and 1.8 rebounds. He transferred from Missouri last year and has one season remaining.
