Sakima Walker Waived by Minnesota Lynx

0:00On April 30th, Minnesota Lynx just waved former South Carolina forward, Sakima Walker during WNBA training camp this week, along with two other, players. The six-foot-four standout went undrafted in the 20-26 draft, but signed a training camp deal with the team on April 16th. She stuck around for under two weeks, suiting up in a couple preseason games before the cut. Earlier this week, the Lynx announced the moves on Wednesday. Walker saw 13 minutes against the Washington Mystics on April 25th, dropping four points, two rebounds, two blocks, and an assist in. That win. Her time dipped to just four minutes versus the Nigerian national team on Monday, where she grabbed one rebound. Basketball fans know Walker's college path was a grind with big rewards. She bounced from Rutgers for two seasons, averaging four points and 2.5 boards, then dominated at Northwest Florida State with a jucco. Real title and D1 player of the year nod.
