It's March 5th, here's your NFL news in two minutes. Subscribe to stay locked in all season. The New Orleans Saints face a big question at Limebacker with five time all pro-demario Davis hitting free agency. Their current starters include veteran Pete Werner, who's been up and down and rookie Danny Stutzman, who's still unproven. Team leaders might look to fill that gap with someone like Green Bay Packers stand out Kwe Walker. After your last year, the Saints tried trading for Walker by offering a fifth round draft pick, but the Packers turned it down while pushing for a contract extension. Walker, a former first round pick out of Georgia, has racked up over 100 tackles each full season, plus nine sacks and interception three, forced fumbles and 29 tackles for loss. He's also stepped up as a leader, wearing the green dot for defensive calls and a captain's patch last season. Now, with no new deal from Green Bay, Walker is heading to free agency too, opening the door for interested teams.

Contract experts see him landing around $8.3 million per year, though some project closer to $15 million. For the Saints, that's a jump from what late 30s Limebackers like Davis typically earn, around $9 million. If New Orleans wants a seamless replacement, Walker could fit perfectly, but it depends on how much they're willing to spend in a tight market.
