Saints Eye Seumalo for Offensive Line Boost

About this episode

The New Orleans Saints are eyeing Pittsburgh Steelers guard Isaac Seumalo as a top free-agent target to bolster their offensive line. Seumalo, a 32-year-old veteran, excelled in pass protection last season, allowing minimal sacks and pressures. His versatility and strong performance earned him high Pro Football Focus grades. Despite his age, Seumalos Pro Bowl pedigree could secure him a multi-year deal. The Saints must weigh the benefits of signing him now or addressing their line issues through the draft.

With the NFL today, March 6th, the New Orleans Saints have a big need to strengthen the inside of their offensive line this off season. They could go after free agents or wait for the 2026 NFL draft. One top free agent target is Pittsburgh Steelers Guard Isaac Somalo, who looks like a great match for the team. See Malow is a 32-year-old veteran, wrapping up his 10th pro season. He spent the last three years with the Steelers after starting his career as a third-round pick with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he played seven. Seasons under a top offensive line coach. In the 2025 season, he's shown in past protection, allowing just four sex and 20 pressures over 504 snaps. He had zero penalties and 827 total snaps and earned strong grades from pro football focus, including 12 overall and 4th, in past blocking among guards. He played in 14 games, but missed three with a pectoral injury. Still, his consistent play across left guard, center and right guard positions makes him

versatile and reliable in both run and past games. As a former pro-bola, Somalo could land a multi-year deal despite his age. Meanwhile, the Saints must decide between signing him now or building through the draft to fix their line issues. The Daily News Now is presented by our sponsor, linked in the description.
