They took risks on offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. and quarterback Tyler Show in the first two rounds. Analysts called them reaches at the time, but both became key players right away. Banks turned into the top tackle from that class. Show nearly won offensive rookie of the year after starting on the bench. Now the Saints want more draft magic this off season. Their biggest needs shifted from quarterback to weapons for show. Think explosive wide receivers are running backs. They hold the eighth overall pick in the first round of the 2026 draft. A recent CVS sports mocked draft by Ryan Wilson has them grabbing Notre Dame running back Jeremiah Love at number eight. It's a pick that's gained steam lately. Wilson says an explosive back like Love is perfect for a young quarterback like Show. Love stole the show at the NFL Combine. He blazed a 40 yard dash under 4.40 seconds.
