S6 Ep#193: Free Indeed – Words have Weight!

0:00Our God is good, He is awesome and worthy to be praised, hallelujah, amen. And it's my great honor and privilege to bring these and courage in words to you, Victor Aquajun. And we will take some three points on the series free indeed. The understanding we are communicating here is when the sun set free is free indeed. We talk about freedom which is given us by the sun of the Most High God. Not freedom that comes by our own abilities, by our own strength, by our own wisdom, by our own knowledge, but freedom that comes. By the fullness of God's divine purposes that He has set into motion for our lives.

1:04Hallelujah, our God is good, let's pray. I thank you that you speak to us today and your word come forth with power and authority to change transform and bring the fullness of all your wonderful purposes to pass. Thank you Jesus. Amen. Now, the point we are taking today is to understand that our words carry weight. Your words, my words, they carry weight. So we have the freedom asking us, kind of children to see what we want. But we have to come to terms and to the revelation of understanding what our words does when we speak them. Now, where is consign a peace treaty? Pronounce a sentence, make a vow, destroy a reputation or lift a crushed heart.

2:13Speech is never just words. Speech is never just words. Ecclesiastes chapter number eight, the verse number four says, where the word of a king is, there is power. And who may see unto Him what do we doth? Imagine this. A supervisor entered a tense workplace after a costly mistake. One sentence could have triggered a culture of fear. For example, find someone to blame. Instead she said, tell the truth, protect the customer and let us repair this together. Her words did not magically erase the problem. This set direction established responsibility and changed how everyone acted.

3:23Think that is awesome. When we have the choice to say something that could bring panic, bring fear and cause negative reactions and we make a decision to even in the moment of anger, in the moment of feeling down betrayed, I just to speak what will work towards peace and establish a positive direction. Ecclesiastes observes that the word of a king caraged power because recognized authority stands behind it. The book uses this image to urge respect for royal command. For believers the principle is sobering. Words, carry, weight according to the responsibility God has entrusted to us.

4:29Parenthood a child in a world with repeated speech. Teachers can awaken courage or deepen shame by their words. This can clarify truth or spread panic by how they choose to communicate. Friends can strengthen faith or normalize sin through their words. So Proverbs 18, verse 21 says, Death and Life are in the power of the tank. Words can destroy and words can build up. And we have to understand this. Scripture does not teach that human words are independent creative forces equal to gods. It's not at that level on its own. God alone spoke and still speak creation into being.

5:35We are creatures under His authority. Our speech is powerful, morally, relationally, even creatively in a certain way. And when aligned with God's promises, the will leaves His power. Take note of that, the will leaves His power. It is important that we understand this distinction so that it keeps us from this superstition. A color sentence is not an irresistible spell. And a positive confession is not a technique for controlling God.

6:38We should know that. James warns against arrogant plans and teaches us to say, if there are lot will, we shall leave and do this. And that, James chapter 4, verse 15. So still, do not underestimate the tank. In James chapter 3, you can read from verse 2 to 10, compares the tank to a bit in a horses' mouth. A rudder on a ship or a small fire. Tiny instrument direct, great forces. The question is not whether your words have influence. The question is what kind? What kind of influences does your words have? In Efficient chapter 4, verse 29, it gives a practical rule.

7:38It says, speak what is good for edifying. Take note of that. Suited to the need and able to minister grace. That means truthful words, timely words, courageous words, with trained words and sometimes silent words. What do you habitually say about yourself? Do you repeat condemnation? Christ has removed through His shed blood? What do you say about others? Do you define them by their worst moment? What do you say in crisis? Do you spread fear before you have fucked? Roya priestly speech sounds like the cane. Truthful without cruelty.

8:38Gracious without compromise. Confident without arrogance and hopeful without denial. Today, use your words as stewardship, bless God and use the same words to confess and where He is needed and courage the wary. Speak truth to their problem. So we speak truth to their problem. Pray according to Scripture and refuse to lend your thang to the accuser. Hallelujah. Reflect on this three thoughts. Which repeated phrase in your speech produces fear, shame or discouragement. Two, who needs a truthful and grace-filled word from you today.

9:40Pray, ask out and act on it. Are you treating words as meaningless? For as Magica, rather than as accountable stewardship. That is for reflection for you and I. Let's pray. A heavenly Father, I pray that you help me. Say the word before my mouth and keep the door of my lips locked. And cleanse my speech from pride, panic, gossip and condemnation. Feel my words with truth and grace and teach me to speak under your authority. Amen.
