上回訪問王文華是剛新婚不久，經過四年婚姻生活，他提到對婚姻的驚訝，不是來自於婚姻跟他想像的不同，而是以為已經晚婚的他，以為已經把寬容、體諒、同理心與愛等成熟人格準備好了，可以很輕易表現在婚姻中，但真正婚後才發現，自己並沒有這麼厲害。
王文華也說，踏入婚姻時，大家常說是邁入新的人生篇章，但在他看來婚姻根本是換了一本完全不一樣的書，無法從其他人生經驗移植過來，必須重新學習。
