Claire Guentz was stalked by a fellow student while attending college. During the first few weeks of her freshman year, Claire was approached by a guy who told her he had a crush on her. She told him she wasn't interested, but he texted her incessantly, invited her to hangout, and told her he didn't know what he'd do if they weren't together. When she didn't respond, he started waiting outside her dorm for her to return from class. One day he made it inside her locked dorm building and waited outside her room asking to come inside so they could talk. Claire turned to a campus advisor for support and they banned him from her dorm building. Claire later created Parry, a personal safety app designed to help get women out of uncomfortable and awkward situations before they escalate.
