THE $965 MILLION VERDICT SANDY HOOK VERSUS ALEX JONES  S3LQ4 The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting occurred on December 14, 2012, in Newtown, Connecticut. Twenty-six people were killed, including twenty children between six and seven years old. The perpetrator also shot and killed his mother before driving to the school.  In the wake of the tragedy, conspiracy theories began to circulate that the shooting was a hoax. One of the most prominent voices pushing these theories was radio host Alex Jones of Infowars. Jones claimed that the shooting was staged by the government in order to promote gun control. Now, nearly ten years later, Jones was sued for defamation by some of the Sandy Hook families and community and ordered to pay $965 million in compensatory damages.....
