S2 - Episode 9: Parenting with a Disability

About this episode

On this penultimate episode Dee and Nat meet up with Andrea H, who worked in the social care sector for over 15 years; a career that was driven by her empathetic nature, understanding and belief that everyone deserves quality care.

Within this period, she became a single mum to two, now teenaged queens; and she was also diagnosed with progressive Multiple Sclerosis (MS); an incurable condition that effects the brain and spinal cord.

In this episode Andrea discusses the changes from being a able bodied  person to having to adapt to not only being diagnosed, but also being an active and present parent for both her girls.

For further information about MS check out the MS Society at: https://www.mssociety.org.uk/
