Today, we talk about nothing.

We're just going to sit here and...

Yeah, just going to get my sticks out here on this fire and make some s'mores.

No, no, no, no, we have a lot of stuff to talk about, especially because

Valve is getting sued in New York City over loop boxes.

A discord, of course, delays their age verification.

We have a little bit of Netflix news and that the Warner Brothers as well with their

whole merger situation happening right now in Paramount and all that kind of good stuff.

Obviously, yesterday, or I believe it to you today, yesterday was the official 30th anniversary of Pokemon.

So we'll talk a little bit about that, the showcase.

And then, wow, midnight early release is live right now.

People are already 90 and bored.

Don't know what to do.

Which, like everybody said, was going to happen anyways.

We talked about some games that got canceled and also talk about some changeover in

other games, along with a first look at the God of War series.

And also jumping into some cool games being announced and as well as the ninjas and

half shell.

I think we talked about a little bit last week, but talk a little bit more this week.

I am golden that there is Joe.

Joe, what's on GQ2 for today?

Well, if we got time to do it, we'll do some basketball, but something just dropped this

morning and it was quite a few bombs on Iran.

And because of that, it is reported that the president of Iran is dead.

Supreme leader, I think is what the Supreme, well, the Supreme leader, whatever.

But you know what else is dead?

The bad guy within

Dragon Quest 7 reimagined.

And I'm still playing because there's still some fragments out there.

And it's very, very interesting.

There's a lot of reviews out there that's really good reviews on a Dragon Quest.

And I got to agree with a lot of that stuff because the artwork on it's dim spot on.

The mouths move when they are supposed to talk even in battle.

Even in battle.

So that is really, really, really good.

The storyline is really good.

The bar is now set really high for the next game of the year.

It will be surpassed.

Don't get me wrong.

Because resident evil requeriums out.

So that might take over the spot by the looks, the things that will.

The bars set really, really high.

And it is really, really good.

And I'm telling you right now if you haven't played it.

You can wait till it goes out on sale.

That's fine.

Go and play that game.

It's really good.

Galvin, what have you been doing this week?

Grabbing my guts.

Yeah.

I've been having a little bit of an indigestion issue all week.

Sense Sunday night.

Yeah.

But I did, but before then, I played a little bit of League of Legends.

You know, it is a dementia stuff, which is, you know, primarily what I've been playing the most of.

Wasn't a place of Madden, but decide not to.

And yeah, that's pretty much all I've been all I've played.

And also preparing for this weekend's Magic the Gathering.

Still don't know if I all make it tomorrow.

Just, you know, for physical.

But so far so good.

Everything is working well.

Not not having too many bad bad reactions.

That was pretty bad.

Tuesday, Tuesday was really aw man.

It's yeah, I don't want to.

Yeah, I guess on my worst enemies, I would definitely wish this.

But outside of that, definitely don't want.

Yeah, it's terrible when you have a.

Intestinal problems.

Yep.

Not not just.

It'll be okay.

It's going to be okay.

Yeah, because gun problems are okay.

But, you know, that like it happens, you know, quickly.

It's over what probably like, you know, in a couple of hours, usually or maybe a day.

But yeah, this one basically went from.

It was only like 72 hours is one of the 72 hours thing.

It's probably it probably was like some kind of some kind of virus or something I got when I went out when somewhere.

That's the only thing I could think of.

Just because like the people that.

The stuff I ate with other people, none of them got sick.

And so no.

So it's probably it wasn't like a food thing or anything like that.

Who knows all I know is I'm feeling better.

Probably like 90%.

It's probably just the strength is still kind of zapped a little bit.

But so I wasn't able to play as many games as I did just been basically sleeping a lot.

Which is a good thing.

Yeah, that's that's been good.

But what I have been doing though is watching a lot of the news.

And especially the big news.

That dropped, which is that valve is getting sued.

And yes, that's right.

Valve is being sued by in New York.

By the attorney general, Latina James.

And because over a alleged illegal gambling.

Because they can do so via loot boxes.

And it claims that.

Children and adults to do this via loot boxes.

And it's counter strike two and Dota two specifically probably counter strike two with the, of course,

a weapon creates which a lot of people spend a ton of money there.

And the 52 page legal filing.

They said the illegal gambling can be harmful and lead to serious addiction problem, especially with young people.

Valve has made billions of dollars by letting children and adults by a light camp illegally gamble.

For their chance to win valuable virtual prizes.

These features are addictive harmful and illegal.

And on my office is assuming to stop a valve.

A legal conduct and protect New Yorkers.

This is similar to the case in Europe.

And that's probably what they're going to be doing.

She's going to be drawing on.

Remember Europe did sue.

I believe it was not valve but blizzard.

Over Overwatch, loot boxes.

And it's it's kind of this could affect attention potentially lead to all of pay to get randomized chances at cosmetics to go away.

My guess is what they'll probably do is they'll just stop letting New York people purchase.

Or they'll fight saying that it's you know what we'll see what happens you know because is it gambling a lot of people say yes because it's a randomized chance and you pay money for it.

Now I guess maybe other ones you can use in game currency to get it or you can get it through in game means.

As a reward is more of a reward than it is a loot box.

You pay for it but then also like say for instance in legal led and you can use you can buy it by a token.

You know the currency and then buy the item or a bag to get the randomized chance to get it.

So it does work that way where you can buy you know buy the item for it like the virtual item.

But it's still randomized chance and so technically that would also still be gambling.

I'm just very curious about what's will go down long term if it actually does go through.

And I think they're there.

$2,000 per person is the relief I guess is what they're trying to do.

I'm not sure exactly how much it would be.

They'll be asking for but because the counter strike skins have in 2025 was 4.5 billion dollars so either in 2025 or.

I had surpassed so far says belts introduced skins is 4.4 billion dollars so really really crazy Joe when we talked about this for a while.

What are your thoughts on this lawsuit against valve.

I don't know if this can go anywhere really.

And really I think some of the gamers will be like it should.

Go to court and I think a lot of other people will say that it should not go to court.

And and I think the reason for that is that if this lawsuit goes through this will open up a lot of other lawsuits through other games.

And this could really cause these companies a lot of money and really could.

I wouldn't be offended by that.

It would just be.

Trying to take away.

Some of the loot boxes all together.

At which that would be over reaching.

So I think what really needs needs to happen here is that.

The developers and the companies involved and even not involved need to take a look at their systems to say this is what is going to need to happen.

And this is what is not going to happen now what I would suggest is that.

These developers have to come up with ways to keep the loot boxes there.

Because how else are you going to progress.

It's still a chance but take the pay system out.

If you take the pay system out.

Yeah, it's going to hurt you financially.

But that would take away the lawsuits.

Okay.

People are paying.

Okay, people are paying.

In order to get the loot boxes.

No matter what game it is.

If they don't pay.

If you don't make people pay to get the loot boxes.

What happens.

There wouldn't be any lawsuits.

It is interesting to think of things in such ways.

But it just makes sense.

And it does.

If people don't have to pay.

All of this will not happen.

Along with a lot of other things.

You will never like a lot of.

What's going on.

Potentially or what can happen to replace station five people right now.

Okay.

So.

If you don't have to do that.

Cool.

If you can do that.

Or if you have to do that.

This is what's going to happen.

Okay, so it's not good.

And it's not going to be good.

For a lot of.

A lot of the players, a lot of the developers, a lot of the.

The companies because everyone's going to be affected by that.

So.

We'll say.

We shall see what happens.

Now, do you think.

Like, you know, what would be the penalty though?

Like what would be what would you say would be the penalty?

I think this is going to be done out of court.

I think there's going to be like a settlement type thing.

But.

I'm.

Every judge is different.

So if the judge is more conservative.

That's probably going to be less money out of the.

But the judge is more progressive.

Then.

As what I think is what is with New York.

You're probably going to see more money come out of the companies.

So we'll probably say like a baseline of.

10% of the company.

When I say 10% of the company, it'd be 10% of their.

So.

It could be anywhere from like about.

$5,000 is to.

You know, $5 million.

Something like that, because that money would be then refunded.

Or a percentage of that money would be refunded back to the players.

Okay.

So if you're looking at like.

It's just.

$20 worth of loot boxes.

The potential is there for you to get $10 back.

Or maybe $15 back, not the whole 20.

But a percentage of that money back.

So.

If this does go through or if there's a settlement.

That will be good for the players that paid for that thing.

Because then they can get themselves attached to the lawsuit.

And then they can get that money back.

But if they don't get that money back, it's it's just going to be.

Just going to be a thing.

So.

Like I said, we'll keep a rise on it.

This is a big, big thing.

Yeah, yeah.

So yeah, well, it takes you.

It's it's it's also a big lead end of what could happen in the future too.

It could be, you know, something that ends up being really larger than, you know,

we can even see because it could affect Blizzard.

It's going to affect.

I was trying to think of some other games that have it.

Definitely riot is going to affect them.

And I'm sure other ones that are up there too.

I mean, I know what Valorant has.

But there are any way you can get like pay money or pay to get currency.

To get a randomized chance at item could be considered a loot box.

And it could be.

There's pretty much why over what to remove them from me.

It could be able to get them.

The original.

You know, the loot boxes.

Now you just get the item.

If you gain any, any.

It would do the battle pass.

You get the item that you're doing the battle pass.

So removing the loot boxes, which I really that's why I liked about Overwatch.

Because it's really good chance of getting something really great.

And you're really easy to get them.

So it made it really incentivized to play the game.

But obviously they wanted to make more money.

Or Bobby Kotick wanted to make more money.

So he's like, yank the free stuff.

And then they.

The whole call the debacle in Europe.

They're like a yank the blue boxes.

So, but yeah, Valve is on the hook.

We'll see what happens from there.

Another one that was on the hook that now has yanked it so far.

Is discord has delayed the controversial age verification rollout saying it missed the mark.

Following community outcry.

We know many of you believe the right answer is is not to do this at all.

And so discord's co-founder and cheat technology officer.

Stem is off.

This ship is give.

I said the right.

Veshevski has announced the company is delaying.

The age verification requirements.

Obviously they want to be I've they're going for an IPO.

They want to have this in because of that.

And the switch outcry became because of the the buckle that happened last year when they the security breach.

Which hackers successfully acquired unspecified number of people's personal data, including government IDs.

And so discord's like, yeah, use these now trust us.

We've learned from that.

And it's like, no, you have not.

I'm I'm not going to just, you know, I don't care if I'm on this, you know, we're on discord now.

But I am not going to give them my ID.

I'm going to give them like that face thing that's fake.

A face, a fake face.

All were a mask, even if I have to.

If they need like a face like a face and I was where I was by a mask online and do it that way.

Like I'm not going to consult consent to the giving them like a real a real face or anything like that.

Now it could be that just through because I've been on the platform for so long they'll say, oh, this person is this person.

But more likely that I'll just yeah, I'll just give the everything fake because I'm not I don't trust them at all.

I don't trust I trust almost no company.

Security.

Even though some of them you have to, I mean, we've been around the block for so long and in the online sphere.

Every company has all our information anyways.

But if I'm going to give up like actual information or IDs or face scans, I'm not going to give it to discord.

At all, especially since they're just going up to an IP.

And just that, you know, what they say is a big tech company finding new ways to collect personal data.

They've been creating a problem to justify invasive solutions.

And so that's kind of like what.

What he said is that that's what that's not what they're doing is trying to do that.

People believe the right answers do nothing at all. We hear you.

You also know that these challenges carry different weight and different communities.

About privacy, identity, et cetera, all that kind of stuff.

You know, a lot of it could be pressure to as well.

They're getting from the government.

I mean, that's the one thing.

But we'll see what happens here from Joe.

So far they're stopping it.

Well, it's probably going to pick back up anyways, especially if they start.

I mean, because what's happening to is a is there's a lot of bills happening going through a lot of legislatures about banning social media.

Uh, for children under the age of 16.

And so, uh,

end to end just for the speaker all under that too.

Yep.

And so that's probably what they're probably trying to do is find a way to say, OK.

What can we do?

They already have a UK launched an experiment that would see age verification data leaving users phones despite previously stating otherwise.

And they've been additional concern over discourse.

Decision to use persona as a vending partner for the experiments.

So they've already with the UK try to do some experimenting here.

And persona is also wrapped up because they said that they don't sell any.

Oh, no, it's not persona.

There's another company that I saw that said from esports teams.

Like so esports.

Riot.

This is another riot recently gave a bunch of gaming data for people throwing matches and everything to a third party.

And that company says, oh, we don't sell this information to betting partners.

And it was found that yes, they did sell the betting information to betting partners.

They just, they just, they don't, they're like, oh, yeah, we don't do that.

And they do it.

This is like so.

But personas personally funded by Peter Thiel, whose data surveillance company, Palantir is currently used by the US federal agencies.

And so that's what makes a lot of people scared here is because they could say, oh, this person's at home playing a video game.

You can go break down and arrest them or they're, you know, censor them.

And so that's kind of what people are scared for.

So we're thoughts on discord at age verification.

Obviously it's delayed.

Do you think it's ever going to come back or what do you think is going to happen from here?

I think that discord is kind of up against the wall on this because they have to do it because of the lawsuit started coming out with all the ages and the sexual predators and all that stuff.

But the people aren't happy about it.

So this is a matter of like, do you do it or do you not do it?

Essentially, they kind of have, they have to do something.

This wasn't the right thing to do.

And it's not what used to be is you'd have to put in your birth date and then you're good.

The thing is people can lie about that and still get through it.

So they have to come up with something.

It just can't be that.

It cannot, it cannot be the facial facial recognition, especially if it goes through a third party service.

And these companies think that it's cheaper to go through a third party service.

What if it's not?

What if it's actually cheaper?

To develop that on tech or to incorporate that on your own technology into your own service.

And that's what discord.

I think I think that's what discord should do.

You know, not make it to some like pay or pay for like a birth certificate type thing.

No.

Okay, that's a little bit of a jab, but.

It cannot be something that's paid for and it cannot be something that is.

Facial recognition.

They still have to do something.

I just don't know what it is.

I really don't know.

What do you think it should be?

Should they do something?

Well, I took a drink of it.

I was like, I think they just could do away with it.

It's just obviously it's completely unpopular.

I mean, it's really obvious based on everything that's happening right now.

And I think they should just say, you know what?

We tried what we could.

It's not working out.

You know, that's.

You know, that's just get rid of it.

Just just get rid of it.

Not do it.

But, you know, they're under pressure from outside sources.

They're under pressure from.

Not just not just anything inside, but also from outside.

Outside sources like governments, not just United States too.

I mean, a lot of people are talking about United States, especially recently.

It's not just them, but there's a lot of other places that are.

You're doing these type of items.

And so.

I think I think it's to me, to me, it's interesting.

Just because of the way that.

You know, the way that they kind of unfolded.

Hey, hey, we're doing this.

Everybody's like, no, we're going to abandon.

We're looking at other other items, right?

You know, I don't want to do.

We don't want to do this.

And then they're like, oh, actually, no, we're not doing it now.

And then so.

And then in the middle of that IPO.

So.

We'll see, we'll see, but.

Yeah, definitely that it's being paused is a good thing.

And a good thing for all gamers.

Because it's, it's, yeah.

It's the wrong thing to do.

Yeah.

Just straight up.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

We talk like focus on the game.

Like we'll focus on the platform.

But we'll see.

I think it's going to happen anyways.

It's just how governments are going to force everything down.

They'll say we have to do this.

And those have to do it.

But yeah, it'll be, it'll be a mask.

Like we're not doing it.

That was a ski mask.

Yeah.

One thing that is supposed to was supposed to be great for gamers,

which would net was netflix is a deal to buy Warner Brothers.

done or preferred by the by Warner Brothers team. It was presented and it kind of essentially

fell through. I don't know if it got declined by the shareholders or something happened where

it fell through. Netflix is now backed out entirely. Netflix is now backed out and received

$2 billion, Joe, by backing out. Apparently they had a deal where if they got into a deal with

Warner Brothers, that Warner Brothers would pay them $2 billion to leave. So now that Netflix is

left, they get $2-free billion. Maybe in stock or probably in stock, I would imagine. And now

Paramount is because as I said here in the article, to the tune of $111 billion to buy out

Warner Brothers. Not only are they going to be buying out obviously all the movies and all the

rights to all that kind of stuff that Warner Brothers has, everything all the shows, everything

like that. But they're going to get at the games as well. Some of them being moral combat,

you know, Batman Arkham, Asylum, those type of games, the Lego games, and Hogwarts legacy being

some of the big ones. Plus the other IPs that they already have under their rocks there.

And so it's very interesting because Paramount is owned by David Ellison,

and who, and is that Larry Ellison, who basically are prominent supporters of the current

administration and Donald Trump, particularly. And so it is a very high speculation,

especially with the current, with Paramount, is currently doing the news organizations by

removing and putting in right-wing commentators and newscasters. Let's trust you the news more

towards that way that this might happen also in games and television. And so it'll be very

interesting what's going to happen from here. It is a really strange what's been going on with

Warner Brothers over the course. A lot of games have been canceled or paused as a result of them

trying to sell. It seemed like Netflix really needed a game scene and a game arm. We talked about

how great it would be for Netflix because they'd be able to finally have that gaming companies,

like legit games under their belt to be able to say this is the games that we do, but they backed

out either maybe they may be also getting pressure to by the government because this seems like

the government was heavily involved in this. They're even eyeing the speculation of the deal

happening between Netflix and Warner Brothers because of the ties to the administration from Paramount.

And so now Paramount gets it sounds like it's pretty much a done deal. So we're your thoughts

here, Joe, on the now Paramount, I guess, games is what we would be calling it.

Okay, let's try to keep TQ 2 out of this.

Well, we mean there's a big thing, though, is because the pressure like it was a done deal,

like it seemed like a deal between Netflix and it was a good thing for Netflix. When we were

Murray talked about it, they've been trying for years to get gaming and they've really kind of

flopped on the whole gaming scene, but they're still trying to and this is like the last chance

of Netflix for gaming. So if you're an anti Netflix gamer, you're probably celebrating this because

you're not there now. Yeah, because Netflix has not done very well with the video gaming scene,

especially on their own platform on the Netflix app that said they should have stayed in the

fight. They should absolutely stay in the fight. The problem is there was too much outside help

for them to be in it. And I think once the board of Warner Brothers saw that, they were essentially

done with the deal. This is business. Sometimes this is business. When it comes to

and in certain administrations or actually all administrations, I should say, not certain ones,

all of them. It's just that certain ones have certain administrations have bigger effects

on companies than what others do, but all have an effect on the companies, at least American

companies. Okay. So with that said, this is this isn't going to be good. I think for gamers. Because

Warner Brothers and we're going to get to them a little bit later on in the show.

Video games might be taking a back seat. At least that's kind of what I thought

before we heard about the next Warner Brothers story, which we won't get into just yet,

because it's just going to be one of those things.

So we'll get to that a little bit later on. But that's what I was thinking thinking about there

at the time. This isn't going to be good at all. Maybe it will be.

I mean, that kind of goes into our next article. So if you want to talk about the franchises one.

So I mean, I guess I was going to say, so it basically goes right into our next article.

WB has announced that their biggest franchises are returning,

especially the Batman legacy, the Dark Knight for Lego edition is coming out this May 29th.

Also, the Lord Game of Thrones, War of Westros is coming out this year as well. But they've

said the real fruits will start coming in 2728. Obviously, after they've already closed,

I mean, this is very similar to what Blizzard did or Activision Blizzard did during their acquisition

with Xbox. They had a whole bunch of games that they're going to release as soon as it got acquired

or in the midst of acquiring. And of course, some of them got delayed because of the acquisition

or pushed back just because they couldn't get them done in time. But it just speaks more to

like they're all going home forward with it. As well as a release to a Hogwarts legacy sequel

is another one they're trying to do as well. For 2027 is what they're eyeing for that one.

And so Multiverse is a big one too. They might want to bring that back. There's a lot of stuff

that they might push forward. But the main one is Hogwarts legacy. It seems like they really

are going to dump in more into that and kind of make that more of a game. And of course,

more combat as well. And then Batman. I wonder if we may as well see another Batman,

in our command, in our command edition, in our game. That is what's that's what's rumored

is that Batman is going to be leading the charge in this. So it depends on to what

what does it paramount? Paramount? Yep. It's what paramount wants to do.

I'm not saying calls right now. No calls. But but it depends on what paramount wants to do.

All right, I got to go shut that down. Give me a minute. Okay, no problem. So what we'll do is,

yeah, basically paramount is going to be the new leader in the clubhouse. They're the one that's

going to actually be related to it. It's just over there getting it. But we have paramount is,

maybe paramounts call WB's Colin Joe trying to give them the inside scoop.

What's going on over there is he's like paramounts calling trying to figure out to get a hold of

Joe. Paramount was giving you a call or Warner Brothers to try to give me a call trying to

silence me. So I just unplugged them. But now going back on this, it depends what paramount

wants to do. And right now paramount said, let's try making these video games and making video games

a thing. Because Warner Brothers holds a lot of DC stuff. And that's essentially what they want

to do. So we shall see what happens. No, yeah, I mean, it's, to me, it's very interesting just to

just how it's interesting. And I'm just, it's very different way that they're approaching this

with Warner Brothers. Because they're like, hey, we're going to have a great next two years.

Of course, in the middle of all this acquisition stuff, the CEO wants to have all this good

information come out, right? You know, he wants all this good information come out. And the best

way to do that is to say, hey, we're, look at all of these plans we're going to have. Now,

are they going to come to fruition? We don't know. No one, no one really knows,

but probably not even Warner Brothers knows if they're going to be able to capitalize on everything.

But they're just getting the end out there. They're trying to get the excitement going for the

games. And so I'm not going to sit there and be like, oh, why are they doing this? I mean, I can

understand why they're doing it. And it makes a lot of sense. You know, it's a very popular,

you know, franchise that they have under their belt. And definitely, at least everybody I know of

is going to be looking forward to if everything holds up well for them. But yeah, it's very curious

that, you know, Warner Brothers is now in the forefront and then Paramount. Yeah, Paramount could say,

no, no more games. They could say that. I mean, you know, you know, gaming is a big part of the

industry. I mean, they could say, hey, we're going to sell off these games. We're going to make

a little bit of money back on our investment because I think they really just want the rights of

the Warner Brothers Media Library. Because they have a lot of good movies there, right? They'll

look at moving a lot of good TV shows. They got HBO. Yeah. That's what they want. And HBO's been

kind of more liberal recently. So, you know, maybe they want to make that the opposite. I mean,

that's unfortunately, I know this is GQ2 kind of topic. But yeah, no, you don't want to drive

that fan base away. Yeah. No, you want that fan base. So they just want it. Right. They

just want to incorporate. They want to incorporate video games and all the TV shows and all the movies

and all that stuff. Because what do they want to do? They want to make money. And that's what every

company needs to do. They need to make money. If they're not making money, they're not being

the solvent company. Yep, exactly. Yeah, it's a thing. It's absolutely a thing. Yeah, go ahead.

Cool. What I was going to say is that, you know, basically, it's, it's going to be up to them

as a, I think there's someone outside doing a yard work.

I got phone calls. You got your phone. Yeah, the

I get phone calls. You got your phone. It's a guy. It's so great.

For calls of your, this is what they're trying to do, Joe. They're trying to take us down. You know,

the man trying to take us down. Yes, they are. But, uh, but yeah, so, you know, it's interesting.

They say they believe that the strong steps, uh, Stewart, they've been strong stewards of

Warner Brothers, iconic brands and that our deal, uh, was strengthen the entertainment industry

and preserve and create more production jobs in the US is what Netflix's higher up said in a

statement. But this transaction was always a nice to have at the right price, not a must have

at any price. And so it's just, it's crazy. A 2.8 billion. I thought it was 2.8 billion,

actually. Um, and so we'll have to see the breakup fee, um, in the event of regular shooting

down. It was seven billion. So they could have just waited around. But maybe they just said,

hey, let's just get out now. We don't have to worry about it. Um, right. Crazy, crazy, Joe. Crazy,

crazy. It was, it is, it is part of the deal. So if you break away from the deal,

that's all a part of that deal that they wanted to do. So, hey, why not? You know, it's just

going to be just one of those things, you know? And really, in fact, too, who does WB own?

WB owns DC. You had a lot of the media rights there too. I mean, that's why we're talking about Batman.

That's why we're thinking of Wonder Woman. That could come back now. Superman could show up.

It's going to be just a different, different thing. So

it's going to be something, something to see. Oh boy. Yeah. Well, there's something to see.

If you're not a fan of WB or any of that kind of stuff is, uh, every, you know, Pokemon,

2026, uh, presents came out on the 13th anniversary. Yeah, a lot of cool stuff. Um, they start out

with a, uh, I didn't see the full, uh, presentation. So I'm just going to go based on the article

from the top to the bottom. That way, you know, might be out of order here. But, uh, one of the big

things I thought was really cool. And actually, I'm, I was, I put that in the, uh, our cool little

section, usually at the end where we talk about the cool stuff that's coming out. But there's a

Game Boy shape Pokemon soundtrack player, uh, was announced on the, the live stream. And it,

it looks just like a Game Boy. And it plays, uh, there's a contains 45 cartridges to match with

the 45 songs, um, are included with the purchase. And they put a particular, particular cared, uh,

to make the, uh, sound audio sound just like a Game Boy. So I hope, uh, everybody enjoys listening

from, from them. So we were thoughts on this cool little, uh, game thing. Why

strangle, strangle the outside really quick. Why do you have to take on the Pokemon soundtrack

player on the, on the soundtrack? This is probably one of the coolest things that you could ever do

to all the different pant bases out there. 45 songs, 45 cartridges on a standalone music player.

And that is available right now. This is, this is just awesome. And, and really it's all about

the 30th anniversary for Pokemon. Pokemon Day was just a huge, huge, huge thing. And to think of,

I've never played a Pokemon game to be, to be straight up fair. But to think about all the different

music iterations of all those different games, it's a huge deal. It's an absolute,

big, big, big, big deal. And really, I think a lot of people will enjoy it. And I think a lot of

people will. Oh, boy, this is going to be something. Yeah.

Oh, me, but what, what's, what's interesting is, is that it's the, how many cartridges are on it?

Right. 45 songs, 45 cartridges is one person. It's one person.

Yeah. So it's going to be, it's, it's, it's, but it's also, I wonder, I wonder how it's,

it's going to loop. Is it going to do anything? That type of stuff, because that's why I would think

of that would do, right? It would have to. It would have to. It would, it would, it would loop.

And then, you know, so you can play forever one song versus the other one, one song forever.

Oh, boy. That would get annoying real quick. Oh, no.

But, but yes, what I think they need to do is have one cartridge for all the songs on it.

If they can do it, I think they can do it. I don't think that they wanted to do it because,

because of the nostalgia. But if they can do it, oh, boy, if you could put that up online on

like Spotify, I'm, oh, I'm telling you, I'm straight up telling you, you could have a Pokemon page,

all, all day to get to Spotify. And that would be just like a huge, huge, huge deal.

Because Spotify, you know Spotify would do it. Oh, yeah. You know they would.

Oh, yeah, I mean, and it makes, and it makes a lot of sense too for them to do it because it's,

it's, you know, it's also the original ones too. It's not like it's like a remake or it's

done. It's going to be the original clip through original songs. And that's, it's very popular.

I mean, I listened to that at work like the video game music. I do like do the like the jazz

versions, though, like the people that kind of cover it. But it's, it is still, it's a very

popular thing that people do. And yeah, I mean, we'll see, we'll see what happens. But I think it's,

it's, it's coming out, it also came out yesterday as well. I haven't seen where you could

actually purchase it at. I was gonna see if it's even, if it's sold out or anything like that.

But yeah, you can get it right now. So if you want to get it, Pokemon, it's like a Game Boy

music player. It is on, it was on the Pokemon Center. And

is where they actually had it purchasing. And I'm actually logging it right now if it'll let

me to log in because the Pokemon is crazy right now. It is sold out. It's sold out. So you can't get

it. They sold out of it. It is, yeah, it's really tiny. It comes in like a little Game Boy box,

had all the cartridges in there. But unfortunately, because of how Pokemon is right now, Joe,

it is sold out and it's probably going for $70 as well. It's already sold out. And the one

thing that's unfortunate is that it's probably going to get sold for $200 to $300 because everything

of Pokemon is scalpable. So until it's like Amazon, which it probably will, I mean, they're gonna,

they're gonna make more of these. This is just like the first run. They're gonna make a lot more

of these. So if you need to buy it, if you want like perfect gift for the for Christmas time,

I mean, I know we're talking in February or March, actually, the last day of February tomorrow's March.

This would be perfect Christmas Christmas present or birthday present for anybody that if you know

and all you know what it is, you know what it is. But what they also did talk about, they talked

about World Championship and XP 2026. They dove a little bit more into that. San Francisco,

August 2028 through the 30th is what they announced. The Pokemon Company confirmed it. It's

going to be in San Francisco, which is going to be really great for San Francisco off the backs of

the Super Bowl. They're going to have another big tournament coming through. Really huge scene

too in the Bay Area for Pokemon. So that's really cool that they're happening there. The trading

card game also is they talk about this celebrating the 30th anniversary. They're releasing sometimes

in 2026. They're release that. And the stream showed off everything from classic cars to tag teams

and more to look forward to having fun cracking those packs on the card game. As well as Pokemon Go,

they did offer a little bit information about that with the games 10th anniversary alongside

the 30th. I can't believe it's been 10 years, Joe. Pokemon Go. Obviously really blew up in the

2020 and when COVID and everybody, you know, that's where we're really blew up to be big.

But I guess there's a go tour. It starts on today on the 28th and it is valid until March 2nd

and use promo code go tour calos to pick up the Pokemon tour. So you can do that right now.

Another one they announced Joe was Pokemon Masters EX. We're red in 1996 and Pikachu are out today

with two more trainers joining to a floreon and I think it's eager.

Ogre upon Ogre upon anniversary 2026 on today and Julian and Juliana and Trappacos

anniversary 2026 on March 2nd. And these were 6.5 year celebrations of Pokemon Masters EX.

It's real in real anniversary that this is real anniversary they swear and they also pick up

300 gems for logging in on the game. So if you play Pokemon Masters EX, you can log in now and get

some free loot or a free Pokemon. And yeah, so yeah, pretty cool. They're releasing a lot of free

stuff right now. They also talked about the cafe remix. The Kento, Bulbasaur, Terminator, and Squirrel.

They also talked about Pokemon Sleep, which is a mute. I didn't even know about this game. But

it's apparently it's a mute game. Pokemon Sleep and I still don't even understand what

what Pokemon Sleep is about. Is it like sleep and you do it? I guess it's what it is. No, no, it's

Snorlax. It's all about Snorlax. So yeah, really, I haven't played it either, but I think it's

fun. Yeah, I mean, it really, really cool. I did watch the the clip that they showed about it,

but it was like, oh, it's cool. Mutue, you know, he's zooming around. Then they did Pokemon Unite,

which is another one. The Arca, Arca, Aracundo, Izaptos and Moltres are coming to Pokemon Unites

yesterday with a special event featuring the birds kicking off as well. And then some other

Pokemon in the Pokemon and electric electrode volleyball rolled tour were teased for the game as

well. Pokemon training card game pocket. The next set to come is played at Paladin Wonders

and premiering with numerous daily login bonuses starting yesterday. You can pick up a bunch of

booster packs and celebrate that as well. You can play Pokemon. There's there's a lot of game.

That's real. I'm realizing now. There's a lot of stuff here, such as such as Nintendo Switch Online,

Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness, which has been off, but it's coming to an Nintendo Switch online

in March, 2026. It's part of the GameCube collection. Okay, so let's a little bit about that. And

you won't have to pay any or any big sums for the GameCube copy. So that's a big, big thing

right there. Pokemon Fire and Red or Fire Red and Green Leaf, who was previously confirmed

will be coming to the Pokemon Gen 1 or actually coming to Nintendo Switch. So all the Pokemon Gen 1

Gen 1 stuff is coming to Nintendo Switch. And that is out right now. And then they got the Pokemon

Champions. And they're coming in April for Nintendo Switch. Now that's the mobile version that's

going to be coming later this year. So they'll be facing off against, it'll be facing off against

other trainers, other people. And they'll be for the competitive Pokemon players,

indeed, indeed. And of course, the one that's out now, too, is Pokemon Legends Z2A.

Okay, that's going to get some new content this year. Mega Garchop Z will be available for a lot

of people. And the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokemon Legends Z2A is up now. So we'll see how that goes.

And they ended with two different things. Pokemon Poco Pia, which is basically a,

a life sims type game. Yeah. And except you're a Pokemon.

So you'll have some different missions. You got some different stuff to do. And now becoming

on March 5th for Switch 2. And the Pokemon wins and waves. So we'll see what happens with that

10th generation. Yeah, I mean, it's very, it's very interesting for the,

I mean, I'm thinking interesting. It's just that it's interesting to just how

there's so many games for Pokemon, but so they're able to get a little bit out and a little bit

here, a little bit there. But just even on the Switch, how many games are? Obviously we talked about

Fire Red and Leaf Green last week, which is the big one. But the wins and waves Pokemon.

A 10th generation of Pokemon has been confirmed. 10th generation. 10th generation. I did see

the, there wasn't a company video with wins and waves. It's coming on 2027. Obviously for Switch 2

exclusively for Switch 2, not for Switch. So this is by their saying 2027 that to expect other

games. It's kind of what's great about this announcement. It'll let us know, okay, the next

Mario that comes out is going to be a Switch 2 exclusive. Like he will not be able to play it.

And it makes a lot of the next Zelda especially too. And it makes a lot of sense because they want

people to be on the Switch 2. It's obviously widely available now. Then, then a few months ago.

And so, yeah, it's just, it's going to be, you know, global release for that in 2027.

But it's the, oh, the biggest, the biggest thing about wins and waves is the drama around

the starting three. And everybody clowning on the pond bond saying that Growlith is the original

dog Pokemon. Hey, I'm just saying, I'm just saying, okay, I'm just saying, you're just saying,

okay? Yeah, that's fine. I don't want to be, I don't want to be like taken on by all the Pokemon

players. I'm scared of them. Absolutely scared of them. Are you sure? I'm frightened. Just a little

bit. Just a little bit scared. But yeah, we will see, like you said, we'll see what happens

next with everything. But for right now, it's looking great for Pokemon. And a lot of stuff

was announced. It really is. They also released a few Pokemon 151 this week, which was what

that is, is a set of Pokemon for the trading card game. Because that's really been pushing them

a lot of money is the trading card game. There's a lot of scalping going on. There's a lot of

resale going on and scalping stuff like that in Pokemon. And they've been benefiting from it because

it just gobbles up all their inventory and they keep printing more and more so much so Joe that

they keep seeing YouTube videos about the Pokemon trading cards. Yes. And they even, and they even

do you want to open the pack? And do you not want to open the pack? What are you looking for? I'm

looking for, I'm looking for Charizard. Yeah, there's special snorlax or you know,

just different stuff. Well, I mean, there's one that you get from like a collection like an

ETB, which is a lead trainer box or a super premium collection, which actually was able to look

enough to get two of them for a Pokemon center drop. And it's like, I think it's like $89 or

something like that to purchase, which is pretty expensive. But it comes with a lot of cool stuff.

It comes with the box comes with, I think a playmat and then a just a bunch of cards and everything

and a promo that's exclusive to that one. It's, I think it's almost like $300 now. I mean,

it's insane. It's, it's, it's, it's, her form is better than the stock market. And that's what

people are seeing. I mean, it's just what was, it's called Poke Bros. What they call them. I mean,

I have a whole bunch of elite trainer boxes from over the years. And so I got a collecting for

like art pieces to me. I just like how it looks. So I put them in little like boxes and kind of

stack them and everything. And I just think I just like how cool that looks because I play the,

I have the original Game Boy games. Like that's, that's why I started playing was the original Game Boy

games. And so I have those. And they're worth a lot of money now, even the one because I have the,

I had the Pikachu, I had the rare yellow Pikachu version, which is really, really rare. And a lot

of people probably, it's, I think it's worth like a couple hundred dollars, even in a bad state.

But I, but hey, I'm not selling it at least right now because it's a good nostalgia. I haven't

played him in a long time, but I could easily pop him out. I have a Game Boy that works. Yeah.

I've seen it charged up. I put actually put some batteries in. I have the battery version one.

It was even better. I actually put a couple batteries in it. I'm good to go. It's, uh, it's not one of

the lithium ones. And so, uh, yeah, I mean, it's a rechargeable series. What's that?

Get some rechargeables. There you go. Yeah. Well, or they get, well, you have the one that you can

like, Q charge now, key charge. And it's like, oh, it's two batteries. You pop into the back,

that mimic batteries, but they're not. So I could technically go that route as well. But,

and then in this instance, it really just comes down to, you know, what is Pokemon going to do

going forward? Obviously, they're, they're kind of pushed with a lot of different revenue streams

that they're doing through. Are they going to kind of remove some of their older games?

I think they like to let them just kind of expire on their own. And then they just bring back

them, bring them back later, or they, you know, release them on digital, like I'm switched to.

And yeah, I mean, Pokemon's done such a great job. And with the 20th, you know, 30th anniversary

edition, if you have any of these games, I definitely recommend going in, especially if you play

them for a long time. And it's really just really weird seeing a lot of these like, oh, this is,

it's been 30 years. Oh, this is giving me games around for 10. This games are around for 10 years.

Like, wow, it seemed like yesterday. So yeah, definitely Pokemon, 30th anniversary,

anything you want to touch on the 30th anniversary stuff, Joe?

What can we talk about? What really could we talk about? You got the TCG covered,

dude, because that's really like the mega money thing right there. And we pretty much hit that

on the head. What is wins and waves going to be? This is going to have to be some sea-fearing Pokemon

and some airtight Pokemon. I mean, they're talking about Pomban, which is a fire puppy

and the bird brought. And I'm not even going to try to pronounce it if it be in again.

But still, those are three of them. And those will be the starters. Essentially, that's the picture

that Game Informer is showing us are those three because that was what was announced. But still,

you have to evolve them. You have to do all these things. And what's the story going to be?

You're going to have to go around the island, boom, boom, boom, do all this, do all that.

It's going to be still your a typical Pokemon type game. What will the systems be?

What will the battle systems be? It's still going to be like a versus type thing, but how do you do it?

How does this evolve now? This is going to be one of the most interesting things for the Pokemon

players, because how do they react now to a game that is coming out? Okay, how do they react?

Because Zeta A was something else. It had to be something else.

Does wins and waves go back to a truce?

I will be very, very curious to see what happens here. Yes, yes, yes, this is going to be very,

very, very, very, very, very, very interesting. And really listen to, listen to some

and Nintendo podcasts, wait, help out there a little bit. I do have some that I could,

I got saved up if I want to download them I can. I don't have to, but it's going to be very,

very interesting. I don't know. We'll see. We'll see. It's going to be interesting. It's going to be fun.

Everything unlocked during Midnight Early Access and a March 3rd Reset.

Obviously, the Early Access.

I think that was yesterday, I believe. I think so too.

It was on 26. So what's your Tuesday?

But also, the reason why is because it was, well, one, because I was sick. It was a Thursday,

but it's because the servers were down for like all the day, like usual. So like,

was it really the time was supposed to launch, but was it global early access release?

And then so it is, you can basically level up to 90. There's a bunch of different zones.

All reimagined zones as well, including ever-ever songwoods, Olamon,

Harder and Voidstorm, a bunch of world quests, renowned tracks that you can do.

Obviously, housing is a big thing. So now you can get housing upgrades while you level.

And Del's tears one through seven. And then you, you also are able to do dungeons,

Herokin, Herokin Normal during this time and Prey Normal difficulty during this time as well.

And so on March 3rd, you'll be able to get the Har, Harinear allied race. You'll get professional

weekly collect quests. You get a bunch of visitor quests and Mythic Dungeons opens up as well.

I believe the raid also opens up that day for normal difficulty. I believe.

I'm not exactly sure the exact timeline for when the raid opens up. I'm actually looking

at it right now. I'm going to go raid release schedule. So that's going to be happening on

the first season is March and Void Spear. And the Dream Rift will be available on Tuesday,

with the March 12th and us coming a few weeks later. And so that is what the raid release.

And the first two raids will tie them together into the season's final raid.

And so it's going to be very interesting to see how that happens. The first one is a six-boss

dungeon. One, and then the Dream Rift is a single boss. So that's why they're going to be doing them

so close together because you do the Void Spear. And then the Dream Rift is just one boss. So essentially,

it's seven bosses. But my guess that single boss will be something similar to like Nixiaire

along those lines. But yeah, I've been really dove too, dove too much into it, but looks really cool.

And the reports of access as well is that it's actually really fun to play. That is what's going on

as well with the story. So people are doing the story and they're having a lot of blast.

I got my physical collector's edition in the mail on Tuesday. So I actually got ahead of time

this time. But of course, I was ill, I didn't open up or anything like that. But I do have it open

now. So I'll probably be maybe playing that this weekend. We'll see how I feel. But definitely be

playing it over the next few weeks. Now the one question is is because the add-ons are toast.

So if you have a lot of add-ons right now, you're used to you haven't played say any year.

You're like, hey, I'm gonna go play it's a midnight. Pull it up and you're like, what the hell?

Everything's broken. That's unfortunately what midnight has done. It's got a lot of add-ons.

Some of them have release patches that allow them to work. Others have not. And so you have to pick

and choose. A lot of people are just going with the base Blizzard UI that they have and then adding

in things that they need that they just can't live without. But there's a lot of people on YouTube,

like Max. I think I think I actually did look at Maximum from Liquid because he was when I

also saw him leveling. It was yesterday, I believe. He had a really cool add-on tracker that did the

old tool to Tom Tom, Waypoint Finder. And I really liked that one. And so I wonder if that is

that something that he hand-coded or if it's a actual add-on. There's a lot of macros you have to

do to run certain add-ons as well or certain things to be enabled. And so that's how you have to do

it. But just look at follow wow what to do for how to quest. There's a lot of stuff on Twitter too

as well for fast questing. Apparently the delve bug and basically like every 30 minutes you get a

level or something along those lines. I believe is what they said by just spam doing delves. You

can get a level pretty easily until you get up to like level 80s. And then you kind of can't really do

levels. And so you could get up to level 88 really fast and then go do the quest line. So we'll

all do those all just do the questing. And then if and then just do a del I just I'm gonna do normal

questing. I'm not gonna rush through. I still actually think need to finish the last of the

current expansion one, which is what I'll probably start with because I think I have like a couple

quests to do left on the chronic last expansion. And but I'm right there at the finale. I just

stopped playing because I just didn't it's like well what am I doing? I was doing the rating. I was

like but I don't need any of this loot. It's gonna be replaced in like I had six months. So why am I

playing? But it was really fun to play. So I'll probably go back and do that as well. And then

probably continue the monk for now and see how that plays out. But probably play another character.

We'll see how that goes there though, Joe. But what about you? What about midnight? We were thoughts

on it. And are you gonna be playing? Now I'm not going to be playing. It's I'm I'm just

done with wow. And I'm one of those people that's just done with wow. But I'm not against it.

Okay. So if you don't so if you do want to play it, go play it. It does look really good.

And there's and I think that a lot of the people will it definitely enjoy this now.

I do have the raid schedule up on screen. We can mark 17th the Void Spyro raid and the drift

or the the Dream Rift raid will be up on for everybody. Okay. Along with the season one Dungeons

and PVP season one, which PVP season is a very interesting thing right now because that is going

to be as I scroll down to find it. Pray. That's what they're calling it. Pray. That's a bit of a fun

word because cool will be the hunters and who will be the prey. If you mark yourself for PVP,

well, you might become the hunter or you might just become prey. So that's going to be very,

very interesting to see, especially people put it up on their like a Twitter YouTube

YouTube stuff, YouTube channels. So that's going to be very, very cool. Of course, we're always

interested in professions because professions are like the biggest money maker or one of the

biggest money money, money makers are in the game. If you're not doing professions and the current

expansion, you are not going to make money. You're not going to get money off of herbalism,

inscriptions, mining, crafting, blacksmithing, tailoring, so on and so forth, leatherworking,

so on and so forth. You're going to be missing out. So you got to get those professions in,

and you got to do them now. All the ones with early access, it's early access for a reason.

Now, those people that are in early access, they are the ones that can make some mega bank.

Mega, mega bank. You don't make mega bank if you're in late. You got to be in early to make

mega bank because people will be looking for gear, people will be looking for trinkets,

any advantages that they can have to quest, quest, quest, to pvp, pvp, pvp, dungeon, dungeon,

do stuff, do stuff, do stuff, and you need that to do it. That's what you need.

So it's just going to be a thing.

That's all that's going to be. It's just going to be a thing.

I am rooting for you. And you know, I like a good race because when the raid schedule comes out

and it is out, you know, it's coming. Oh, yeah, race to world first,

especially when it comes to mythic.

is this the last, is this the last one, Joe? That's the big one. Is this the last race race for world

first? It's going to be different without the adults, right? Because they're not going to use

all these add-ons. So it's going to be like old school where there's no add-ons.

No, right. No, you're right. You're right in that aspect. But that's not going to be the last

race to world first. No, no. So long as raids are going to happen, there will all be races to world

first. I think there will always be races. And then I think there will always be racists.

All races, not racists. I don't know if I thought they said that.

No, I was going to say, but I think this is the first one that goes going to win pretty easily.

And then the only reason I say that is because they, when it's like,

it seems like liquid really did well because the add-ons that they were using and the call-outs

with the add-ons. But I think the natural playing that Echo has done with the older player base

that they have. They have an older, it's just a position, right? Echo is more older players.

Liquid is younger players. And so I think the older players are going to be used to,

old wow, where yeah, maybe you had add-ons, but it didn't, you know,

it was around. Now, of course, they're known to be like, hey, they've done every single thing,

but I think it's going to be, I think they're going to do a lot better job. I think Echo is going

to do better. Now, liquid could put everybody in the same room and be a lot better, which I believe

they did the last year. And so they'll be able to have like, hey, here's where everything is,

and have more meeting sessions that way, where Echo seemed to have like the top 10 people

in the same room. And so with everybody else not, they did everybody one year. And I believe they

did win that year, but outside of that year, they didn't. Obviously, it's a lot of financial stress

and everything like that, but we'll see. We'll see what happens. I think I would expect also this

first tier to be really easy, like all the bosses to be pretty easy on Mythic just because they

want. I would agree. I would agree. There's no add-ons. There's no boss mods anymore. That's what

people, that's the main thing is that there's no boss mods. And so people are going to have to learn

how to do it on the fly. Now, they've done an extensive testing, meaning liquid and Echo.

So they probably know a lot of more stuff than we know about it, but we're going to have to wait and

see on the race for world first, which is a huge thing for Blizzard. And if they ruin that and make

it like this, this rate is terrible or this rate is impossible, it's not fun to play, then it's

going to be a problem for wow. But so far, the normal people say they like the like the playing.

So we'll see what happens. We will see. We'll see. It's going to be also very interesting too,

because the week of March 17th, Void Spider and Dream Rift,

the week of March 17th, both raids will be coming.

Okay. And then the week of the 24th, they're going to Mythic.

Two raids the same week. Well, that's one boss though in the Dream Rift. So it's really just a single boss.

Void Spider has six bosses. Then it's going to be okay. So how do you run the race to world first?

It would be probably that they would be both of them. And I would expect that it's just whoever gets

all seven. So yeah, you're going to have you're going to have one guild to kill Dream Rift probably

first right away to get number one. Or kill the first couple of bosses and Void Spider.

Like it's not going to be. So you're going to see a world first. So Dream Rift would be number one,

because you want to get that first kill out of that one. But you know, but I don't know. I mean,

usually when it's stuff like this, when I, if I remember correctly, when there was a race for

world first with the bunch of zones being released, it's just like, yeah, people went to the easy

route first. And it was the three dragons. I think it was a Rath Lich King the past last time,

where they had the the layer, the dragon layer, everybody went there.

That are BC.

Yeah. And, and, uh, yeah, BC was Gruel's Lair was was definitely number one. And then it was

SEC was two. So Gruel's Lair was number one for progression. But it was also was a lot more

difficult. SEC was a lot more difficult. Even the first boss was I remember, I remember doing,

you know, server first before even world first, but just doing server first content on that. And

it was so difficult. I mean, so many wipes because people just didn't get into position.

Let or pulled a pack we left behind because we don't want to kill. And this is when packs

respawn behind you. Now they don't. So it's pretty crazy. You know, it's changed to benefit people.

But we'll see we'll see what happens. And how the race for world first develops going forward.

One thing that did develop Joe is a story that just days after Sony decided to close its

map remake master's blue point games. And your work came down the step that wasn't PlayStation

that stole all the idea of a bloodboard remake. I mean, remember talked about it was going to

be bloodboard remake. Everybody wanted it so bad. And it was, but it was actually from software

said, no, we don't want to do that. And they said that they despite calling an incredible

talented team, the full talented ex technical expertise, which delivered exceptional experience

for PlayStation community. Sony shut down the studios last week and it impact about 70 employees.

And it followed a recent business review. And so they just said, hey, it's not good to keep

these people open. And we have when you have like a remake studio, that's about good doing

remakes. That's all they do. And you decide you're not going to do remakes anymore. That's what

happens. I mean, they did the live service God of War game. The project only canceled last year

for that. You know, they did release demon souls remake when they launched the PS5, which is very

successful. They want to do, of course, do bloodborne as well. But yeah, pretty crazy. I mean,

they did go. I believe they are also updated, pitched updated versions of the shadow of colossus

remake to Sony, as well as it goes to Chusema spin off. And both ideas were turned down. And in the

end, they just decided to give them the boot. Pretty crazy, though, pretty crazy, Joe.

I'm not done about this, you know, closing, but not just that, but that that it was actually from

software that basically got them canceled. But also, I understand it because from software is,

is, you know, the way that the, you know, just there's such a big player in everything.

It's just pretty pretty crazy, though, to how, that they just like say we're just going to close

a studio, because we just just don't want, don't want anymore. Where are your thoughts on, on

blue points? I guess I'm on this news, but then also blue point studio is clogging closed.

Blue point was making money. Blue point was doing a great job. They were doing remakes. And

that's so much on the table. This was a massive mistake by Sony PlayStation, a massive mistake.

Because you don't cut the companies that are trying to make money for your company.

They had such a high ceiling. They were just cut. And they were cut.

Why were they cut? That doesn't make sense. Tell me where that makes sense. It doesn't.

So now you have bloodborne for being a remake too.

I mean, that would have been a big money maker.

A great big money maker.

So now what are they going to do?

What are they going to do? Yeah, not really sure. We don't know.

We really don't know. I mean, basically what they did, they did

Metal Gear Solid HD collection. They've worked on that. We live in Uncharted, the Nathan's

Drake collection, which I have. Really great collection. They did that. They combined it for PS5,

a little bit more originally. Gravity Rush remastered. They did the Shadow Colossus,

which is the biggest game. That was the biggest one. And of course, Sony's demon souls remake.

They did that as well. So they've done a good job at like these games, but maybe Sony's

getting away from the remakes, right? Maybe they want, or it's just, you know, they're consolidating.

Really crazy that this happened and it doesn't affect a lot of developers, but unfortunately,

how it is? Yeah, but you can solidate the bad ones. You don't consolidate the good ones.

This is one of the good ones. That was a mistake.

That was, that was just a huge mistake. So I don't know. I really don't know.

You're shooting did say that Bloodborne is one of the most popular games

that they made. And they really did love Bloodborne. And he was interested

on what success that it had, but he was so busy, he couldn't do it himself, but he didn't want

anybody else to even touch it. He didn't want anybody to go near it.

And that's where, what you said, Bloodpoint, or Bloodpoint, pitched the idea.

The version would have been shadowed the colossus to Sony.

And Sony turned it down. Ghost of Tsushima, really? When the other ghost of games was doing

very well, what vision do you have? Sony, come on, get your head out, your butts.

You did it wrong. You did it wrong. You did it wrong.

Yeah, I mean, it is definitely very interesting, you know, the way that

that kind of happened, but I'm not, you know, I'm not really too shocked.

Just the way everything, everything's been going. So I'm not really too shocked.

I mean, to me, it's very interesting, just because it's like, you know,

what could they do to make this better? And I think that's the main thing for me.

I don't have all the answers. What can Sony do to redeem itself on this?

And here's the crazy part. When the news came out that Bloodpoint, or Bloodborne was

basically the people, the company was shut down.

See, the play happened around the same time.

It's like, it's not so much like they tried to cover it up, but it's like, they tried to,

or maybe that was, to me, that's more of the timing of it, because when you have the time

to put out a state of play, you got to put out that state of play.

Yeah. Okay. When you don't have it, you don't do it. This news would have come out

right at that time anyway. It was more convenient to Sony PlayStation for them to do it.

But I still have my, I still have my PlayStation doing it me wrong, but still it doesn't mean that they do

this the same thing. It doesn't mean that at all. They made a mistake. Now they got to pay for it.

And they, they did make a mistake. How do you come back from making that mistake? How do you do it?

Yeah, we don't. I'm not sure. Yeah.

Lots of praying. Lots of praying. Yes.

Lots of praying. But yeah, we'll see. We'll see what happens. We'll see what happens going forward.

Yeah, it's just, it's just, it's just, it is definitely sucks for, you know, for, for people that

we're hoping for, you know, the games that, you know, especially the remake ones that they're

talking about, it just, they just feel, I feel bad. I just feel bad for the developers because,

you know, nothing they could have done on their end. Absolutely, nothing. That was all business.

And sometimes the, sometimes the businesses are not right in doing that.

So exactly. It is what it is. Yeah. It is what it is. Exactly. But what it is, unfortunately,

is another game that got canceled this time by Amazon as they start to kind of hemorrhage and ditch

most of their games is the publishing duties for X-Forza Horizon dev story driven open-world

racer. Maverick games, of course, had a long-awaited active dialogue with the partners

over their long-awaited long-term ambition on the IP. And it's just, it basically,

it sounds like it's going to be done as I was right now, at least.

And so they're the nixing of Amazon. And Maverick's deal was reported by Games Business.

And they said the spokesperson at Amazon confirmed that they've confirmed this is going to be made

as the company narrows its focus on Tomb Raider. And, and their Luna streaming service.

And they said they're going to already, Amazon Games arm is, you know, obviously already laid off a

bunch and then moving to close down. It's a MMO new world and a platformer king of meat.

And then they say they tremendous respect for them. But it's just, you know, narrative-led

dreaming, but it's just the business side, business side of things.

Yeah, it just, it just really sucks is that they work on the game. Those continuing to progress

as strongly as planned and then that they're an active dialogue with other partners or with

partners to share the long-term ambition for it. I think they're probably still going to land on

their feet. But it might be not as big as they thought it was going to be originally.

And it's just open world driver. I think it's going to do well if it looks okay. If it looks good,

you know, that's going to be the main one. And the story also open world will be pretty cool.

But it's just kind of how it is right now. A lot of games studios are shattering, a lot of people

are losing their jobs over gaming and not AI. This is not AI. This just then businesses saying,

like, hey, we want to make a couple extra bucks. So we're going to touch on all this, Joe.

What made the deal go through? I mean, seriously, what made the deal go through? Something had to happen

between Amazon and Maverick to make the deal go through.

It fell through. So what?

What did happen? Now Maverick can still make it. Maverick can still make it. That is there.

That's your baby. They have to go through other ways and means to do it.

Because if we don't go through those ways and means, it's not going to happen. And it's not.

They have to go through those ways and means to do it. So I don't know.

But hey, it's still going to be a thing. It's still. It's still happening. It's canceled,

but it's just the publisher's gone. Yeah, just the publisher's gone.

And you know, Amazon, Amazon would have really pushed it forward. They really put a lot of money

behind it. But obviously, they're just focusing on Tomb Raider and then just generally

getting out of games altogether is what looks like the most likely to me as if they're just doing.

They just might because if they don't have any stability within the gaming market,

then, you know, they don't need to be in there. I mean, New World was a thing.

And it was. It wasn't right for us in the end.

And while we don't blame the developers for that, it wasn't the right time for us as players.

Because what happened when it turned on went down. People left.

Yeah, just straight up people left. It was there was nothing wrong with the game.

No law. No.

People was not enjoying it. Yep. And that's the thing. So if the taste isn't there.

Hey, that's what it is. So once again, this might be just Amazon getting out of the gaming business.

And you know, that's what needs to be fine. You know, that's absolutely fine.

But if it's if it's not, hey, it is what it is, you know, is what it is.

And that will eventually be okay. Because once a company realizes that it can't make money,

it opens the market up for somebody else.

Okay. And it really gives the idea to the creators to the to the developers that this didn't work.

But maybe there's some things within the thing that didn't work.

They can work someplace else. Okay. So that's where Maverick comes in.

If Maverick can do something that's really good, if it's really, really beneficial to the people,

to the players, then that's what can happen.

It's going to be okay for them.

It's going to be okay.

Yeah. I mean, we'll see, we'll see, we'll see what happens as far as the

going forward. But this is not the first first news about something happening about someone

leaving this prime of publisher. But in this next one, Joe, the, I guess the head of it, it seems like

one of the leadership positions at least are on the leadership team.

Because usually Ubisoft's latest bout of executives leaving is a report that Clint Hawking created

director for Far Cry 2, one of their biggest sellers, Watch Dogs, another one lead box dogs,

Legion and Splinter Cellcast theory and other some great games that they released and the forth

coming code has has to create code name Hex. I think it's Hex. I believe it's Hex, even though it

has a extra e on the Amazon called Hex. It has lots of company. And so the Hawking's departure

was communicated by staff this week by Assassin Creed's new leadership team.

John Guzden, the brand's just appointment head of content will take over as creative director for Hex.

And they said they we sincerely thank Clint for his vision.

chapter. Development on Assassin's Creed, code name Hex continues with the season team.

The game will deliver something distinct from from within the Assassin's Creed franchise.

The guy who coined the term, uh, uh, uh, uh, Lund, Lund,

Lou Doner, oh, Lou Donerative Destinance, describing the conflict between the game play and the game

and the story it tells you. Uh, you might know him as the, uh, the patron saint of the grenade

rolling back downhill, uh, uh, species of immersive, um, um, emergent sim. And uh, he's basically

wrote that, uh, and so one essay he believes that players, uh, age agency is sacred, believing that

there's no part of the game too important to play with. While some seek to, to make a straw man

of the stance by suggesting he is in favor of shipping uncom, um, compiled code and calling it a

game. He finds that to be greedy reduction of the argument. The game does not lie in code,

compiled or otherwise the game is what happens inside the player. And the reality is that it was

never our game to protect, uh, from ruin in the first place. So it's basically like one of those,

like it's not the game, it's about how you experience it and what you come away with it. Um, so pretty,

pretty crazy. What's going on? Um, and it's also going to be, uh, the witch trials is essentially

what the game is going to be focusing on, uh, for the new Assassin's Creed game, uh, which is

probably why it's going to be off to, you know, different because playing with magic and everything

like that, rather than just assassinating and sneaking. So we're thoughts on this, this change over.

Do you think it's just them kind of the new guard cutting away the old guard, which does happen

at some companies? Or do you think it's going to be a dramatic shift that from Ubisoft?

Any change at the top, and I do speak from experience, does come with some different changes.

Any change from the top, or any higher ups, does come some significant changes. And I would suspect

that there will be some very significant changes, no matter who Ubisoft decides to, uh,

hire for the creative director position.

So no matter what's going to happen, there's going to be some new vision, no matter what.

Um, it depends on what the vision is for the different games. Okay, we know that far cry seven is

in development. We know that there's going to be some, uh, more Assassin's Creed coming.

It's just going to be what kind of games or what kind of vision is going to be with those games.

Because they have to see what kind of, uh,

what kind of vision is going to be with the person coming in.

So if it's going to be like a different, uh, a different thing, which is going to,

all these games are going to be different now. All these games that will be coming out from Ubisoft

are going to be different now. It just depends on how different and will the people agree with

the differences in those games? For instance, far cry seven is going to be a time-based game.

Can you find your siblings in time?

Some people will love it, some people won't. It'll be fine.

I'm sure that everything will be fine there. It's just that people's

preferences might change because the vision changed within the company.

So they might not want to be, um,

or they might not want to play the next far cry game. They might not want to play the next

Assassin's Creed game. They want to play the other far cry game or they want to play the other

Assassin's Creed game. Okay. You could see some flip-flopping going around. You could see,

you know, people not playing Ubisoft games altogether, or you could see people coming in,

do play Ubisoft games. It's going to be just a different, different, different, different,

different, different thing. We don't know. We don't know. We don't know.

It's going to be interesting to see what goes on.

Yeah, well, well, well, well, yeah, it could be, it could help boost the game, make the game better,

or could, or could the opposite and just make it worse game. And that's what, that's going to

forward to what happens. But Ubisoft is kind of struggling. They need a good, they need a good

couple of games to come out to help us kind of save them right now. And so we'll see, we'll see

what happens here. They got someone, they got some coming down the pike. Let's see if they hit it.

They just come off for like ending the state of play. Now you know, you're making a TV series.

And oh, wow, it's going to be up on the Amazon. They're just on a high right now.

And it is awesome to see them on a high right now. It is well deserved, absolutely well deserved and

well done, well done to them.

One, and also like to look at the detail in the Kratos get up as well with the markings as well as

the scar. You know, everything looks just, you know, exactly like it, you know, and it also like

the actor is really tall too. And as played in the Vikings and everything like that. So definitely

well versed on how to attack and everything like that. It absolutely goes with that mythology because

God of War is a part of the Norse mythology and one of Vikings, Norse mythology.

Come on. This is just going to be cool. Yeah. What a great photo and Amazon too. Yeah. I mean,

that's what they're going more for. They're more towards TV and stuff like that. So

it's a very, very cool. I don't know if they have, I was trying to look on here.

If they've had anything here as regarding that, but

it was also to see there's also a, Ed screen is apparently going to be playing as Baldur.

And he was from Game of Thrones as one of the assassins guys and Game of Thrones.

And so he's played a lot of other kind of things like that. He's really great at doing

and it's tacking everything. So he's well versed too in the martial arts stuff. So

yeah, really, really excited to see this. Not sure when they're going to happen. What's going to happen

though? But looking good so far. And like I said, our good boy. So yeah, Amazon sure that.

Okay. As well as some interesting. This has this has to be on the last.

Not not not the series that they're in now. Not the not the game that the that's out now.

Forgot a bore. Well, I think. Yeah, it's not Ragnarok. Ragnarok's like the end story for

for Kratos. Now, this has to be the one before it. This has to be the one before it. And really,

if this does hit off, if let's say the new God of War game that's out right now, that's a side

scrolling. Does that hit it off with people? Oh, yeah, this is like the original, the remake got,

basically remake God of Wars, what they call it, but it's really the new God of War 2018 version.

Right, right. But it has the boy in it. Right. Which is what we're looking at. Well, what they could do is if

the origin story of Kratos does not work out in the video game, they could do the origin story of

Kratos on the TV series and have it become lore or have it become canon. I see that that would,

that would work. And I think that would be that would work better than having a side-scroller

of video game to be honest. But that's just me. If you want to play God of War as a side-scroller,

do it. It does look really good. It looks really good. But that's

what does he do more than I can't wait to trailer. I'll wait to the trailer. If the trailer looks

on par, I mean, even if the trailer looks somewhat like the what's it called show, the Viking show,

which is still a good TV show. If it's if it's like that, like even that would be make this really

good one. So I mean, it's probably going to be good anyways, but we'll see. I agree. I agree.

I agree. It'd be good. It's already been a second series. It's already been Greenlit. So we'll

definitely get Ragnarok or number just continuation. I don't think the good. It'll have to be like the

between story between the one before Ragnarok and Ragnarok. Because there, I think the boy grew up

a little bit and I think there you want to do that between story. It'd be almost like the last of us

where you want to do that between story between last of us one and last of us two.

And really that would be good. That would be really good. And I'd tell you what, I would enjoy it.

I would enjoy it quite a bit. You said, what?

Yeah, but you know, we'll see and there's no release date yet, but the second series already

been Greenlit. And so like like yeah, how far like I was taking how far I know the original

is going to be is, you know, probably just halfway or a little bit further in. There's a lot of

story. There's a lot of stuff you can put into the to this TV show. And you don't have to make it

go through the full game, right? You could do half the game or third of the game. It's still be good.

So we'll see. You wouldn't have to do any of the game and still be good. You just watch it still be

good. Kind of like what fallout is right now. People don't play fallout and they're still watching

the fallout TV series. Yeah. Yeah. It's good. It did. It's a good TV show. Exactly.

Just like another TV show that's coming and going to be written by near Automata's Yoko Taro

is going to be an Evangelion anime show. So and Vengellion is one of classic anime of all time.

And I guess they're coming out with a new 30th anniversary festivities are coming out the new

anime for it. And this is going to be written by the near Automata's director and scenario writer

for it. And so it's going to be me on Genesis and Vengellion. So yeah, looking really can't really,

can't wait for that. It's going to be really great. It's been a long while since it's come out,

you know, mostly like the 90s is when that series came out. But I think it's going to work

perfectly well. And so it's kind of that breaking over of the you know, creators of the games

breaking into other types of shows or TV shows or anything like that. And you know, we have like

mass effect, all these other ones coming coming forward. So it makes sense for the crossovers.

Because it's definitely the same thing. You're writing a story just that what this one's played

where this one's watched. So what your thoughts on this announcement, Joe?

Oh, the enemies. Oh, play the enemies. I forgot about enemies. I did because I do video games and

you know, game news and years and so that stuff just takes my life. But still, enemies are still

a thing. And if you're going to do, you know, an anime TV show, do it. Absolutely do it.

This is the 30th anniversary for that show.

I don't care if you're an anime. How many people can, how many shows can say that?

Not many, not many at all. So you have to be like a number one, a top of the line type thing,

you know, and that's the way that it's got to be. That's the way that's got to be. So Crunchyrolls

Crunchyrolls is just going to do a thing. Yep. And it's going to be just just a fun thing for

people to watch. Yeah, really really good. And if you like anime, if you like anime, you'll definitely

like it. Or even if you like neon Genesis as well, you'll like it too. So looking forward to seeing

what the vision is, probably more darker. I would expect just based on the, you know, the game,

how the game is. So I'd expect more of a darker one, more of a, you know, maybe depressive one for

some people, but it'll be okay. It'll be okay. Yeah. Just like we have a great announcement from

limited run games, Joe, and then him and Konami have revealed Marvel maximum collection, a game that

bundles six classic Marvel eight and 16 big arcade games into one package. The bundles fan favorites

from arcade Genesis NES and Super Nintendo. They include X-Men, the arcade game, Captain America

and the Avengers Spider-Man Venom maximum carnage, which a lot of people played. I played that one.

Yeah. Spider-Man Venom separation anxiety did not play that one. I played the maximum carnage

a lot enough the second one. And then Marvel Spider-Man X-Men arcades revenge, which was for Super Nintendo,

Genesis Game Boy and Game Gear and Silver Surfer from the NES. The big one is X-Men, the arcade game,

one of the classic games that you could play at the arcade back in the day. And so that is coming

no no date on. No real estate, not yet, but it looks awesome. You know, the music is awesome and

just the gameplay in general definitely brings you back to everything. You know, just you're playing

each one, you know, the classic games essentially that you can play. And limited run games does a

great job at porting everything over from those type of games to be able to be playable. So thumbs

up from me. Thumbs up from me. I wonder how they're going to do it. Because if you take a look at

some of these, okay, I'm playing a reimagined. Okay. I'm playing a reimagined game right now.

If you take that from the from the 2D and you make it to something that it is right now, wow.

Dream Quest 7 reimagined just a phenomenal game.

What are they going to do with this? I mean, seriously, if you're going to put this on consoles,

some of these were not on consoles. X-Men, the arcade game was not on console.

Okay. Everything else had a console to it. Say, good Genesis and

Nintendo Entertainment System or Super Nintendo and Game Boy and Game Gear. How are you going to go

from those graphics to the current graphics? This is going to be a complete restructure and, oh,

potentially, it's going to look really good. Oh, boy. Are you going to be or are you going to let

people go back to the old graphics? You can do that. You absolutely can do that.

I mean, look Square Enix does it with Dragon Quest. Yes, they do.

And they did it with Final Fantasy. I think they did. But they did with Dragon Quest. I know they

did. I play it. They do that with this O-M-G. This is going to be just,

it's going to be good. People just eat it up. Just eat it up. Just eat it up. Yeah. Yeah, well,

yeah, exactly. Now, one thing that they haven't been eating up, though, Joe, is the new Magic

the Gathering Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which is actually the peer releases happening this

weekend. The first one happens on Friday. It's usually the biggest one. But the set Teenage Mutant

Turtles, which of course has a lot of gaming over as well as television, a lot of 90s nostalgia.

They were releasing a set with Magic the Gathering. They're their new set lists. And I guess I

would say unfortunately for wizards of the coast is that it's not doing actually well at all

comparatively to previous items. And that's just because a lot of the Magic players don't like

turtles. They don't like Teenage Mutant Turtles. They think it's a bad crossover. But me as a

Magic player, I think it's great. Of course, I love Teenage Mutant Turtles. It's one of the,

I still have the bus, the van, actually, the bus, the van. And the turtle van with all the stuff

that opens up, I have a bunch of figurines still. I don't play them or anything. They're just in a

box somewhere. I think in storage. But it's a very nostalgic moment for me. I watch the TV show all

the time, the cartoon. And so watch all the movies, great movie. It's kind of stupid, fun.

Still good movies. And so yeah, I mean, really excited about this set. I'm hoping to play it

tomorrow. See how I feel if I feel up to it or not. But yeah, it's just, it's really,

really crazy how people are kind of poo-pooing on. I'm really kind of sad about that. But

yeah, I mean, it's a great set. A lot of good. There's a lot of deals there. A lot of exclusive

cards, but you can get a commander set if you want to play it as well. It's $59 on Amazon.
