Ryan Greene: Blackhawks' Rookie Sensation

The Chicago Black Hawks are full steam ahead with their youth movement this season. 13 of their 23 man roster are 24 or younger, as they push through the final stretch after the Olympic break. Leaving the charge is 22-year-old center Ryan Green, a second-round pick from the 2022 draft. In 1958 of 59 games, often lining up with star Connor Bedard on the top line. Green started on the bubble, even getting cut briefly from training camp before injuries brought him right back up. He began on the fourth line, but quickly earned trust with his two-way play and strong face offs. By late October, he shifted to wing with Bedard and later took over as top line center during injuries, averaging 18 minutes per game. Fans and coaches alike have noticed his impact. Mid coach Jeff Blaschill praises Green's versatility, saying he performs equally well at center or wing.

His seasons thus show seven goals and 21 points, with heavy reliance on him for draws, second only to Jason Dickinson. Through the form, Green bounced back strong, returning to the top line right after. He set up Bedard for a key goal in their first game back against Nashville.
