This is Corey with the story with entertainment and celebrity news today, powered by the Daily News Now. Ryan Gosling opened up on the late show with Seth Meyers about his reluctance to wear wigs again after a bad experience on the set of the 2000. Fifteen film, The Big Short. Promoting his new movie, Project Hail Mary, he shared how his wild costume there left him with some real trauma. The space adventure hits theaters this Friday, March 20. Earlier this week, our March 18, Gosling recalled stepping out in his wig and bumping into co-star Steve Carell right away. Carell took one look and told him never to do it again. Gosling joked that it was the last thing he wanted to hear from a co-worker before filming started. The audience cracked up as Gosling hung his head in mock shame and host Seth Meyers teased that he probably never worked with Carell again. Gosling played along sarcastically, confirming he had not spoken to him since. Carell had his own big change for that movie, packing on about 25 pounds
thanks to all the New Orleans food like binyees and gumbo. Meanwhile, Project Hail Mary follows Gosling as a science teacher rocketed into space to save humanity. He meets an alien buddy named Rocky, and they team up. Filming those scenes got tricky with the motion capture, but Gosling found a fun workaround. His daughters, an 11-year-old and a nine-year-old, stepped in to voice Rocky through his earpiece on set. Though sweet moments made it into the final cut, with last coming straight from his kids, Gosling said he basically made the whole film for his family. The Daily News Now is presented by our sponsor.
