Royals Target CJ Abrams for Second Base

The Kansas City Royals have Bobbywood Jr. locked in as their starting shortstop, but they need more pop at second base after Jonathan India and Michael Massey struggled at the plate last year. One trade idea floating around has them targeting Washington Nationals infielder, CJ Abrams, to fill that gap. Abrams, who's just 25 years old, would slide nicely to second with wood at short and my kale garcia at third. His blend of power and speed makes him a strong fit for Kansas City's lineup. Over the past three seasons, Abrams has cranked out between 18 and 20 homeruns each year, with an on-base plus slugging above 0.7. One too. He's also a real threat on the bases and could chase a 30-30 season soon. In this proposed deal, the Royals would send left handed pitcher Noah Cameron and their number two prospect, Ketcher Blake Mitchell, to Washington.

1:01Cameron posted a solid 2.99 earn run average in the miners last year, including a strong big lead debut. Meanwhile, Mitchell, the 8th overall pick in 2023, hit two homers in high A ball, but sits behind established Ketcher on Kansas.
