Ross Commits to Cal, Boosts Bears' Backcourt

0:00On April 20th, Georgia's point guard Jordan Ross just committed to Cal, making him the second bulldog heading west this off-season. He follows forward Jake Wilkins, who locked in with the Golden Bears back on April 11th. This March's Ross is the 5th Georgia transfer to pick a new spot. Alongside Wilkins a Cal, Sumto Cyril to Miami, Jeremiah Wilkinson to Arkansas, and Dylan James to George Washington. Ross ran the show as Georgia's starting point guard for most of the 2025-26 season, starting 25 of 32 games. He put up 6.7 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 74 assists per game, shooting 42 percent from the field and 31 percent from 3. Coach Mike White praised Ross as a ball security specialist with a sharp 3-to-1 assist turnover ratio. The lefty passer has size, strength, and handles with both hands, scoring in double figures eight times, though an ankle injury slowed him late, including against Tennessee on January 28th.

1:02Before Georgia, Ross came from St. Mary's, where he balled out as a sophomore with 8.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists. As a true freshman the year before, he saw action in 28 games, averaging 1.3 across the board. With Cal grabbing 2 Georgia pieces, expect Ross to rebuild that steady floor game in Berkeley, shaking up the Bears' back court for next season.
