So like I mentioned, we will be here after every single game, about a 15 10 to 15 minute show, breaking down what we saw on the floor tonight for your Houston Rockets and to me, this is really a tale of a couple of things in this game and the biggest thing in the game, the biggest X factor was it's time to reveal who made the biggest under the radar impact with today's X factor. How about this as a whole with the basketball team tonight? You know what happened in the fourth quarter, they stopped turning the basketball over. If there is one thing and I know again, and we've not done post cast shows this year, so I've not given a ton of my opinions, I used to of course be on the radio for years and I don't do radio anymore, I do other things in life flying planes. But now I don't get to give my opinions all the time, it's good to be back to be able to give them. I think one of the most frustrating things for me this season of watching the Houston Rockets at times is how careless they can be with the basketball and they were awful

4:10in the first half I thought at times with in terms of taking care of the basketball. Eleven first half turnovers, the fourth quarter is where it changed in the basketball game. It's like they, you know, kind of flip the switch and remembered, hey, we're at home, we have to take care of business, we're coming off of a brutal loss, our coach called us out once again, which isn't a bad thing by any means and they went out there and they stopped turning the ball over and they scored more points and they've locked down on defense and made sure that Toronto remembered that hey, you're on the road, you're not going to get an easy victory. They've been one of the better road teams in the NBA this season, they weren't going to get that tonight here in Houston. That to me, if I'm looking for, there might not been an X factor in terms of, I shouldn't say that there wasn't a player that was an X factor, we'll give out our player the game here in just a bit and you could probably guess who that's going to be tonight for his overall performance. You know, if I was looking for maybe a player X factor in this one, a Jabari tonight it was a lot more aggressive. I thought he had good shot selection. He wasn't as timid, you know, he did have a cup, of course, he's always going to have

5:12a couple clunkers here and there in terms of his shot selection that you don't love. But overall, 23 points for Jabari tonight, eight of 14 from the field, three of seven from three. Perfect. The line had four rebounds, couple to assist and only turn the ball over him and then there was a men Thompson as well, 23 for a men, six of 10 from the field. Perfect. From the three point line, one of one, 10 to 14 from the charity striped and then six assist and three rebounds and he only turned it over three times in this basketball game tonight, which you can live with in his almost 39 minutes of play. So I guess again, if I'm giving it to players, it's that X factor in terms of the game and what they did, it's going to come down to this. We know that they're gearing out for it. They're going to get the Lakers a couple to get the Western conference. It's just an absolute mess and it's a beautiful mess because it is going to have you on the edge of your seat every single night. If you're looking for enjoyment in terms of, I don't know if you're going to call it enjoyment as a fan of the team, but painstaking, agonizing night to night, scoreboard watching, that's

6:16what you're going to do. Rockets with the victory pick up win number 40 of the season, by the way, 40 and 24. They are, of course, still in that three seed at the moment, just ahead of Minnesota who they have that tie breaker over. So that's great. But so much this can change. I mean, we're talking about a team that's got 24 losses, the seven seed just down there, a couple of two and a half games behind them, three in the loss column is the Phoenix Suns. Of course, you bounce right back. We'll talk about that here in a few minutes against a Denver team that's up there as well. This is going to be a tight, tight, tight race. And you get a couple of matchups here with the Lakers soon, which can really kind of tell the, the tale of the season for the Rockets in terms of the regular season where they're going to end up. And hopefully, you know, and that three, see, I think we'd all prefer that three or four years. Well, that's a question for everybody else, maybe not the three seed. I think everybody would like to four seed and play the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the class. I think that's where I would like to go. So we'll see. There's a long way to go to worrying about that still you got to take care of your own business and let the thing play out how it's going to play out.

7:17And maybe Denver wants to pop up and be the six seed or be the five seed or the four seed and Denver, the Lakers fall back to the six, whatever it is, the most ideal first round matchup, of course, for this basketball team would be the Lakers, even though they can score, they don't play a lick of defense, basically any single night that they go out there and play basketball. So there is that. Who's the player of the game tonight? And we'll talk about that quick turnaround, how important it is. We'll do that here in a brief moment on the locked on Rockets postcast. 12:2818 remaining games left in the regular season we will do a postcast show for anything that goes on with your Houston Rock it's hopefully a lot of wins who's the player of the game tonight this is the lock done player of the game you could probably take a guess Kevin Durant 29 points 12 of 16 from the field 45 from three now slowed down in the second half what only had nine in the second half but I mean come on he was unbelievable in the first half of basketball night maybe miss what just a couple of shots if any I'm pulling at the NBA game book here in the first half Kevin Durant had 22 it's only seven in a second I have 22 in the first half nine of 12 4 4 from three but I really thought that the rockets needed him obviously to be that guy in the first half because it was a really back in fourth basketball game and a lot of it goes back to the rockets not being able to hold on to the basketball and great in turn I was great in opportunities for the Raptors the Raptors are a team that likes to push the rockets don't like to push I did think that there were some missed opportunities in this basketball game tonight for the rockets to maybe get out there and push

13:30a little bit but Durant needed they needed the buckets out of Durant and he kind of looked early on like a guy that was playing a little ticked off from what happened a couple of nights going I'd be ticked off too look I was ticked off as a fan I honest to be completely transparent between all of us the other night when that was going I turned that game off because it was brutal to watch like they're just getting absolutely dominated and if you don't take that and take that seriously and come back with a little bit of a pep in your step for what has to go on out there on the basketball floor then you know we got some serious problems to talk about but Durant tonight was absolutely tremendous early on and you know I think that he knows like they all know that they're going to get some things said about them by their coach when they go through those moments and that happened and a night he played with that that kind of intensity off and so I had some good moments defensively as well early in that basketball game tonight did

14:30have a one was almost a shot block you did you did block a shot but I've done thinking of the gold tending I was almost pretty spectacular block shot there for him but as most nights we know this team where they're at my opinion is they're going to need Kevin Durant to be Hall of Famer Kevin Durant for this team to make a deep playoff push you know this isn't the perfect basketball team injuries have a lot to say with that losing two key pieces there's no telling what this team would look like if they had Stephen Adams if they had Fred Van Bleet like I think it'd be a world's difference for this basketball team in terms of what their nightly production looks like and their probably their ability really overall to protect the basketball with Fred Van Bleet out there but you got to deal with the cards that you've been dealt with and those cards are Kevin Durant's got to be he's got to be that dude and then you're going to need other guys to step up it'd be nice to get some consistent play out of Alpea again at some point I'm not I've not been the biggest fan of of what we've seen consistently in the last couple of months at

15:33times I was on the radio earlier today actually filled in on the radio earlier today and they brought that step I didn't realize I mean he hasn't had a 20 point game against a I think a team with a winning record in a couple of months now or something I'd have to go look and look up the exact it's been a while I didn't have 20 points tonight it's a winning team over there in Toronto so you know they're going to need a little bit more out of him and I was really kind of disappointed overall with his game at times tonight because it was a match-up without Jakob Hurdle over there tonight for Toronto where you're probably going you know okay maybe Alpea feast a little bit but I'm not trying to you know just during they just one of those nights basketball it's a long season not every night's perfect it is what it is come back bounce back just find it down the stretch everything that's what that's what they're going to need they're going to need Durant to do his thing Alpea's going to have to be a huge X factor for them and then those other guys like Amin and Jabari and Tari you know Tari didn't do a ton tonight but those guys are going to have to keep doing their thing as well thank you for stopping by and watching tonight for our first this late into the season locked on rock it's postcast it's always great
