Robinson Rookie Wins Jr. Iditarod

Fourteen-year-old Stanley Robinson, from the Nana, won the race on his very first try, stepping right into the spot left by his sister Emily, the four-time defending champion who just aged out. Stanley came in with solid experience already. He earned back-to-back top five finishes at the Willow Junior 100, on-took third at the 2020-24 Nick 100. This victory keeps the family's strong legacy alive in the sport. As a rookie, Stanley also snagged the Rookie of the Year award for the best first-time finisher. He powered through the 153 mile course, finishing around 9.40 a.m., Sunday with a total time of 23 hours and 40 minutes.
