It's April 16. You're listening to California News today, AI-powered local news. A 30-year-old man named Valentino Cashemil got arrested in San Francisco after a hit-and-run that killed a 74-year-old pedestrian. It happened Monday afternoon near gas station on Mission Street by South Bend as Avenue. Cops say he hit the guy then sped off onto Highway 101, but they tracked him down quick near Portrero and 18th Street. Others bumped the charges to murder Thursday, calling it straight-up road rage. After pumping gas in his black Mercedes, Emil blocked the sidewalk while pulling out. The pedestrian confronted him over it, they argued, and when the guy spilled some water from his bottle on the hood, Emil allegedly floored it right into him. The victim got launched onto the hood, slid off, and Emil ran him over before bolting. Medics pronounced the elderly man dead right there on the spot, less than 10 minutes later. Snared by, watched the whole nightmare unfold, and has got people talking about how 10 streets

can get in the city. Now Emil faces murder with a deadly weapon enhancement, plus leaving the scene. He's set for a raiment today at 1.30pm at the Hall of Justice, and the DA wants him held with out bail. Cops are still digging into it, so if you saw anything, hit up the SFPD tip line at 415-575-4444, or text-TIP-411 starting with SFPD. Stay safe out there on those roads.
