Rihanna's Mansion Shooting: Speech Pathologist Charged

A woman named Ivana Lissette Ortiz stands accused of the attack and now faces 10 counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm along with three. Counts of shooting at an occupied home or vehicle. Rihanna was home at the time with her partner, her three children, her mother, and two staff members accounting for eight of those assault charges. Two people in a nearby residence covered the rest. The district attorney called the act reckless and dangerous, stressing that such violence endangers entire neighborhoods and will be prosecuted to the fullest. Luckily, no one was hurt. Ortiz is a licensed speech pathologist from Florida, held on $1,800,000 bail. Her arraignment is set for the end of the month and conviction could mean life in prison. Investigators have not confirmed any direct link between Ortiz and Rihanna, though social media posts from an apparent profile of hers mentioned the singer.
